Probably 'The Lion King' for SNES. My best friend and I seriously struggled through that game and don't think we could have beaten it without the ZSNES emulator's save state feature. When I was a child and had the real system I could never get past the ostrich in the second level it was soooo pathetic. We can't imagine how a little kid with the real game is supposed to be able to beat it if two college students couldn't without save states. :P

Ninja Gaiden oh god the horror, nuff said..

Another hard game was Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PS3.

Hmm....hardest game? I would have to say probably Ys: The Ark of Napishtim. I got stuck, and couldnt find my way out of a dungeon...so I gave up. Though I think I'll restart it sometime, and find a walkthrough so that I can finish it.

As for hardest dungeon in a game(I know its not there, but I felt like adding it), it would be the Experimental Staff remains tower in Lost Odyssey, though floors 1-24 werent anything to be worried about...the boss, even with level 90+ chars, that no matter how they deal damage, they gain life(even with strongest weapons too) would only deal 1...yes ONE!!!!....damage to this boss...and just tell me, how am I to beat him?(Still havent, and I keep trying every now and then)

Mine would probably be Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, Odin Sphere(sometimes) and God Hand.
Nocturne was fine sometimes, but I'm near the end and I can't beat Baal Avatar. >.<
Odin Sphere is retarded sometimes lol, I'm stuck with Oswald vs. Onyx..
and God Hand is just hard, lol. Especially that god damn desert stage, stupid people just appear out of thin air, and I hate it when I beat up 5 people and I'm about to die, then a random Demon pops out of their body D:

Final Fantasy X-2. I know it was probaby easy for some people but I NEVER beat it because of this STUPID dragon!
Also, I hated Star Ocean: Til the End of Time. I only wanted to finish it because I loved Albel Nox but it was RIDICULOUS! I hardly ever had healing items and the bosses were TOUGH! So I never beat it either.... XD BOTH THOSE GAMES CAN ROT!

Im changing it to Moderwarfare 2. But only when playing it online with people who wont play the game as it is meant to be played(in other words...not glitching!!!!). Though, I guess I could say that Ive pissed a few of the glitchers off by getting them to do MY dirty work(team killing them) for me. I dont care how many times they shoot me, I wont shoot back after they start "hunting" me. Ive made a few quit, and avoid me since I will ALWAYS find anyone who is glitching, and kill them until they come after me and not enemies...then I hide near teammates to cause them to die faster than me.

Haven't played God Hand but I agree that both Nocturne and Odin Sphere can be quite difficult.

I think Devil May Cry 3 was pretty challenging, It made me have to go off and cool down for hours when I died....

The hardest game for me that I have actually beaten was Oblivion not just because it was challenging but also because it was so long and that made it irritating but I liked a lot of it though...

The hardest game I ever played was Demon's Souls. There is no difficulty level and if you do something wrong it could get you killed without you having a second chance.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Even on easy I was dying like mad...Never finished it.

I've been raging with God Hand. It gets extremely cheap after a while.
And EarthBound with the ROM sumcheck on. If anyone knows what I mean, they'll understand. Waaaaaay too many enemies.

Syoban Action/Cat Mario, I Wanna Be The Guy, and Kaizo Mario; I swear, the object of the game is to try and get one life. It wouldn't surprise me if this game was played in Hell. +50 lashes with a fire whip for every life lost. You WILL have negative lives unless you're the spawn of Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, and the Will It Blend guy, as you'll die within the first thirty seconds.

The hardest game I've played is Portal..well, more like the challenge maps and getting gold medals for time, portals, and footsteps... pretty tough on the last couple chambers..

Tie between the N64 Mystical Ninja games and Chameleon Twist 1 and 2. :)

This will sound really lame, but Casper for Playstation 1... D: I can't believe that it was developed for kids!!! I still haven't finished it to this day...

I'd have to say the hardest game i've ever played is 1943 from the super NES, when your the only plane/ship left and you have to go up against an entire fleet of ships and planes....i could never...ever beat that...even with a game genie :P good ole' game genie!

To A Point
 

To a point it was Final Fantasy XIII. Once I paid attention to the strategic stuff and well, the enemies weaknesses (seriously I love the Libra skill now <3) it got easier.

Hmm...other than that, The Answer for Persona 3 FES. You no longer have a Compendium which means you no longer have the ability to re-summon a persona you already had at any point in the game, you have to remember what personae fuse together to gain what other personae, it's only difficulty level is basically hard difficulty, and what makes it almost the most boring - you have very little story and a lot of grinding. Gah...

Still haven't beaten it, but did find a pretty awesome party combination. Now it's a little easier, but keeping up with the Shadows (those are the enemies) is a chore in itself :3

Silent Hill 1. You think it's gonna be easy at first, but it's hard as crap!
The monsters are always faster than you and you can't waste all your ammo shooting them, and WHEN you're shooting it doesn't always hit. And after all your work and your on the last boss, if you don't have enough health items you're screwed :C

I would say I Wanna Be The Guy, but that just seems like it doesn't count.

Probably the greatest challenge I've ever had from a game would be Persona 3. Used to have a lot of trouble with various mid-bosses whilst climbing Tartarus. Pity the last boss was hilarious easy, but then again, that seems to more or less be the norm in JRPGs these days.

Demon Souls - PS3


This game wants me to fail. I swear, but I've gone pretty far into it so far so I'm not going to give up on it yet. However I would have to say this is not for your average I love pokemon gamer. I'm a big fan of games such as god of war, devil may cry, assassins creed etc... and this game just takes the cake in ridiculously hard game play. Is it worth it to want to throw the controller against the wall a few times? Yeah. Its still hella cool and worth playing just maybe not buying.
