I can't remember what brand it was, or any of it's internal hardware, but I know it had like Windows 3.1 on it, as well as an EXTERNAL dial-up modem.
That thing sounded like a someone started their car with a cat and goose sleeping on the engine.
The kind of noise that gives you nightmares.

I think that it's easier to talk to people online too.
I've come out of my shell a lot in real life too though, especially since I was in my teens.

what i really loved was the iVisit program.
i used that when i was eighteen. in 2002.
basically it was a webcam program.
and had different servers you could access but each server was for a different country.
that's how i met my ex. mmm. luca from italy.
