*Looks around for birds or feathers to hunt*

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:11 AM

=O

-flops a salmon on the ground-

Yumeh 02-10-2011 02:12 AM

*Stares at fish*

*Wonders where the birds went*

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:14 AM

D=

I don't speak Cat! DDDD=

-dangles a feather?-

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:14 AM

@ Hyena: I just hope the pit fairs well whatever the outcome

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:15 AM

I hope so, too. It kind of makes me feel like a monster that I don't care where Joel ends up, but only because of the pup. >_>

Yumeh 02-10-2011 02:15 AM

*Yawns and stretches*

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:16 AM

.w.

-attempts to pet kitty-

Yumeh 02-10-2011 02:16 AM

*Sharpens claws*

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:17 AM

-creeps closer to Yumeh-

Well, Hyena. I must say I feel the same way. I mean, he's making his own choices, but the wee bairn is an innocent that can't look after itself.

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:17 AM

o_O

-backs away from kitty-

Hyena has enough bite marks already... D=

Yeah... and that's just about the only thing that makes me feel bad about it. Because she really is just a loveable puppy, and if she gets taken to a shelter its likely that she'll be put down just based on her breed. >>

Yumeh 02-10-2011 02:20 AM

*Sees a bird in the distance*

*Runs out of thread to chase bird*

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:24 AM

It's a genuine shame. And I can't think of anyway around it, the breed prejudice being so strong...

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:29 AM

Awww... I fail at making kitty stay. xDD

Yeah, it makes me mad. And there's nothing I can really do to save this dog short of having someone ELSE come and take her away from him. No matter where he moves to, he's not going to be making enough money to support himself and his dog AND his boyfriend. There is a no-kill shelter, but we can't separate him from her because he WILL throw a fit.

I hate to sound crass, but its like living with an autistic kid. (This is coming from someone who's first job was focused around aid to the mentally disabled.)

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:33 AM

Has he ever been tested for that, or is it more that he doesn't actually match the symptoms, and is just an immature prat?

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:40 AM

Its not as severe as autism, I don't think, but the tendency to latch on to one thing (a pet) and throw a fit if it gets taken away is characteristic of someone with Aspberger's Syndrome. However, that's the only symptom he has that's been indicative of that, so I highly doubt if it has anything to do with mental disorder.

Though, he was raised in that half-generation that was in their formative years when the Internet became the main source of information. He's just a spoiled brat, honestly.

I shouldn't talk, really, because I'm a little spoiled (my parents paid for my college, and are supplementing my rent,). The difference, though, is that the money that I'm getting as priveledge is going towards starting my own business, where all the money he's been getting goes towards junk food and pot. Partially that half-decade gap, partially rearing.

I'm fairly certain that he's just a brat.

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:45 AM

If it had been legitimate, he could have potential gotten disability from the government, and paid that pup's way.
I think it's so neat that you are working towards your business goal.

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:52 AM

No no, he's not legitimately disabled. It just feels like he is sometimes with the way he acts. He was sheltered when he got kicked out of his parent's house by his grandma, so he doesn't seem to know the value of a dollar.

Its not like... an official business so much as it is me working freelance on comic books. But that technically makes me a production house, even if it is independent.

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 02:56 AM

It's still admirable.

Hyena 02-10-2011 02:59 AM

I suppose so. ^^;;

Hard, though. Going Indy makes it hard for people to take you seriously sometimes. xD

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 03:00 AM

I don't know much about the comic industry (oh, the irony of me being in this thread), but the perceived integrity of indie things has really increased over the past few years, if you ask me.

Hyena 02-10-2011 03:09 AM

It has grown significantly in the past few years, but its still a struggle to the top. To make any sort of profit on it, you have to rely on your fanbase, which is usually poorer than you are. But...y'know... if you're doing it for the money then you're in the wrong market. xD

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 03:11 AM

True, true. At least you are living the dream, man. Enviable stuff, that.

Hyena 02-10-2011 03:11 AM

Eventually I will be. xD

No doubts about it.

Cardinal Biggles 02-10-2011 03:13 AM

That's awesome. I'm like, free-basing your vibes right now. Whoa, that was a weird thing to say.
