I'd say they were both important in starting a relationship with someone because you can be attracted to someone before even meeting them by their apperance but once you introduce yourself to them and get to know the a little, it is their personality that makes you want to stay. I mean, I wouldn't date a guy that I considered unattractive appearance-wise even if he had the best personallity. I would consider him as a good friend, but I could never be in a physical and emotional relationship with someone who I wouldn't want to kiss. On the other hand, the guy I like now I didn't think he was attractive in apperance until after I got to know his personallity. It takes both to fall in love with some one. Just appearance and that would be lust, just personality and that would be more of a great friendship.

if anyone else has mentioned this... but, if so I am just repeating it simply because, I can. LOL. Alright guys, all I've read on that one and half pages, is "hawt people wiff bad personalitieess" and "ugrryy people wiff AMAZINGORGASMIC personaltiieess" and I just wanna say... some "ugly" people are fucking dicks. They got some shit shoved up their ass, and some "hawt" people are fuckin' amazing in the personality department as well. :u I dated this one guy who was like Idk, he looks funny, now that I look back, and he was a dick. He ruined me, LOL. I really don't like him now, haven't talked to him since then thankfully, and yeah... Now I am currently dating this one guy who is pretty damn cute. :u He's handsome, haha. Dorky, too. And he's got a cool personality, always teasing me and shizz, he's just really, really fun to be with. c: However, I have dated "hawt" guys who were TOTAL DICKS to me, and I have dated some "nerdy" guys were just ohmahgahd! SO SWEET. So yea, I'm on the personality team however appearance is a bonus, except for if you can't keep clean and TRIMMED. It irks me when guys who are like 17 or 18 let their facial hair grow into grandpa's beard! GROOOSS. D: By then, I don't want to ever talk to that guy face to face, LOOK YOUR AGE PEOPLE, AND LOOK APPROPRIATE. I've seen little 8 year-old girls fucking going into a make-up store with tons of make-up and high-heels! Sooo, girls need to be aware of that too. :u If you naturally look older than you are or younger than you are, that's totally fine because apparently I naturally look older than I am. LOL. :u So that's my side, hope it's not too confusing? |
When I first began dating Daniel, I knew he was handsome, but he wasn't really my type. Over the time we've been dating, his personality has certainlly won my affection, but he has also become even more handsome to me. I look at him and find myself falling all over again, especially when he smiles. I could never have imagined loving someone for every single little characteristic as I do with Daniel.

It's amazing how little you think of someone's appearance when they make you incredibly happy.

Personality is definitely best. You can look like a supermodel but have the wit of a worm or a better-than-everyone-else complex, etc. Looks do come into play but I would chose someone with a likable personality over a shallow beauty any day.
