Lilly was amazed at how much better Kan looked, sounded and seemed. 'wow, that plant sure was wonderfully powerful.' Lilly said trying to contain her happiness. 'i was so afraid i would let you down the very first time i was able to help you.' Lilly busied herself with preparing the fruits and berries. she didn't feel very controled yesterday. it felt more like an explosion than a controled strike, she was just happy Kan hadn't been injured by her fireball! she had thrown fire, it was an incredible feeling. just as she was about to calm down she saw Kan emerging from the treeline carrying a small rabbit. Lilly always felt sad eating cute bunnies, but they sure were tastie little creatures. running up to greet Kan Lilly blurted out, 'was i really controlled throwing my very first fireball? 'it was amazing!' Lilly took the rabbit from Kan, 'are you feeling alright?' |
Kane smiled at here. "you did great." He said. He watxged as she took the rabbit. "I hope this will be okay." He said as he looked over to them fire and then to them fruit. "it looks good." He said trying to avoid them question on how he felt. He was better but knew them sierra effects from them flower could be grave. "I'm feeling quite a bit better." Kan walked to a tree and gently touched it fruit fell from it."peaches?" He said as he tossed her one.
|
Lilly caught the peach and smelled the sweet fruit. 'oh, i think i like these.' she bit into the flesh of the fresh peach. 'this is wonderful, what a lovely breakfast.' Kan was cooking the rabbit and looking a bit odd. 'Kan, are you sure you feel alright?' Lilly asked a bit concerned about him. 'is there anything else we could do to make you feel better?' 'i felt a little worn out after my first fireball yesterday.' 'i hope your cure isn't making you feel weak or strange or anything.' 'you would tell me if it was, wouldn't you, Kan?' Lilly took another bite of the peach and juice spilled down her chin. |
Kan looked up at her and smiled. "I'm glad you like the peach. I promise I'm fine." he said as he did feel alright, there was just a twinge of pain running down his neck. He looked to the forest and softly smiled. "We should build a small cabin for when the shadows return next year." he said looking at her. He wanted to change the subject. He felt like Lilly had already to much for him.

'that's a good idea.' Lilly was still not convienced Kan felt all that well. 'maybe we should wait until you feel better?' she didn't want him to jeopardize his health, after all she was his keeper. 'Kan, why do you need a 'keeper'?' she wished she didn't need to ask him so many questions. but, truely she didn't know much of anything. it seemed things just came to her without thinking. 'you know, i think Lilith gave me some of her knowledge.' 'just not all the knowledge i need.' she wonderred if Kan knew what she meant. 'well the bunnie is ready.' Lilly said with a sigh. 'sigh, i wish bunnies weren't so cute.....or so tastie!' 'could we just relax and maybe do some fishing today, Kan?' Lilly asked with a mouthful of cute/tastie bunnie. |
Kan stirred the pot. He looked to her and nodded. "Okay we can wait till then." he said softly. When she asked why he need a keeper he thought back to when he was quite a bit younger. It was hell being all alone, he had destroyed his town twice, and the second time killed his parents by mistake. He didn't like talking about it, but he knew he would have to tell her. "Here take my hands and I'll show you why I need a keep." he said. He gently took her hands in his, and let her see inside his mind where all the images of what he had done popped up. When Kan let go he looked down at his hands. "After they died I was so mad." he said. " The villagers no longer constitered me a part of there clan. They made me leave, and told me if I came back they would kill me." he said softly. "It was a few months after that, that Lilith found me, I was almost dead, and she saved my life." he said softly. He looked into the flames. "when she said it was time to eat he smiled at her." It sure smells good." he said.

Lilly had never seen anything like this, as Kan held her hands she could 'feel' what she was seeing. it was heartbreaking and she wondered how he had survived. 'Kan, i am so sorry you had to live through that.' Lilly never meant anything more in her life. 'i will make sure you keep controll and only destroy what needs to be destroyed.' 'we wil be here for each other all the days of our lives.' 'now, you need to eat!' Lilly handed Kan a bowl of his delicious bunnie stew. 'this is wonderful, Kan.' even thought the images were still in Lilly head, she was happy and contented. 'Kan, i feel very connected to you and Lillith.' this was a very good feeling for Lilly and she wished Lilith was still with them. Lilly happily munched on the berries and the bunnie. she wondered what the day would bring them. |

*Fiona_Watergate:♥~~sweetie it's your response.* cleaning up after their meal Lilly wished she had an idea to suggest to Kan. she felt a little like he was her keeper than she being his keeper. Lilly wondered what LIlith was thinking when she put them together. maybe kan has some ideas and will share them with Lilly. Lilly relied on Kan much more than she should. 'Kan?", Lilly said questioningly. 'why do you supposed Lilith put the two of us together?' 'don't you think you would do much better with somone who knew a lot more than i do?' *hummy totally forgot about our role play!* |
Kan looked up and softly smiled to Lilly "I feel connected to you. Its been the first time since I meet Lilth." he looked down to the small bowl of food. "I'm not sure why she put up together, but it must be for a good reason." he said looking up at Lilly. Kan shook his head. "I think your perfect." he said. "I don't think anyone would care as much as you." he said.

Lilly had the same feeling, like them were just meant to be. 'Lilith is wise, isn't she, Kan?' 'i know i feel like i don't know what to do, but, i do know that we will figure it all out, together.' Lilly felt a warm feeling inside her. Kan was a part of her and she would figure out how to keep him safe. it's the only thing that mattered to Lilly, keeping her promise to Lilith. 'Kan, what do you think we should do?' Lilly asked knowing he would know what to do. |
Kan stoked the fire a bit. He knew that Lilith knew what she was doing to. He looked up at Lilly and smiled. "I want to show you what Lilith showed me on the mountain. Its the only place where we are safe." he said as he gently walked over to her and took her hand in his own. "She said that one day I would have someone to stand her with me." he said as he began to lead the way. "Someone I could share my life with." he said softly.

the mountain was such a beautifully calm and peaceful place, Lilly felt 'at home' here. she walked with Kan and was happy to be alive. 'Kan, why are we only safe on the mountain?' Lilly asked as she breathed a deep breath. the stars looked so close that she felt she could pluck one out of the skies. it was such a beautiful night and Kan was sharing some things with Lilly that was bringing them closer together. it would all be perfect if Lilith had been able to be here with them.
