Hi
Are the dresses along the left side the ones that you are refering too? I was wondering, do you create all of the clothing ( and the character) from scratch? I was thinking that there might be someplace that has "empty" clothing available that can have a logo inserted, almost like buying a blank t-shirt and putting what you want on the front of it. Is there someplace else that I can veiw your work? :)

@Albequa
XD I'm a little bit confused. What dresses? And I'm not sure if there are any templates available but it's best to try and do things from scratch when you deal with pixels! That Yumeh suit is so cute!!
I like the airy shirt you have on the first page. I'm actually wearing a similar top at the moment! I would say, though, that you might want to add some more body definition - if the material is thin, it doesn't just hang like a bag like a heavier material does. Thin materials tend to cling and drape in equal measures. Since I'm wearing it right now, I took a picture to give you something to reference: Link Important parts to note are that long, diagonal crease from my chest that wraps around to my waist and the bunching down below my stomach. The creases you have seem to accentuate the tummy, while tops like this generally accentuate the waist while sort of floating over the stomach like it isn't there (YMMV based on body type, of course, but we're focusing on the [thin] avatars). This isn't a model-quality ideal photo, but hopefully it helps illustrate the cling and drape for airy tops. [:)] I'll also mention that this is a very thin polyester - cotton clings much more. So if you intended the shirt to be a thin cotton, then it definitely needs a lot of clinginess. |

I miss you all too... 8'(((
Thanks for the kind comments...I tried to finish the Yumeh kigurumi but I lost the file. XD Try try again...It's good I didn't get too far on progress. Easier to re-pixel hahaha..less heartbreak XD @Cherry Thanks for your in depth advice! It's very helpful. I was going for a different type of crop/cut. The type of shirt that is wide and not fitted, rather than long and drapey. I was envisioning like lose and comfortable so that's probably why I made it really wide and square like. But! I do agree that thin, sheer material will cling and ebb to your body if the bottom cut is tighter than the material in between the neckline and the waist. I like your idea for more fitted top though. Perhaps I will make this shirt less boxy and more drapey and put into the other fit in another design. I agree that the top needs a little bit more definition of edges rather than a box. It does look funny that it's boxed shaped and then there is shading that leads to a different belief otherwise. 8) Pixels are too hard but I know with practice it will become easier. Just like drawing hahaha... |
