I have never watched Rocky Horror Picture Show. I know that is strange but I do not watch movies very often. I have however watched Repo: The Genetic Opera. I thought it was awesome.

lonelyotaku 06-26-2010 04:20 PM

Well i've never seen rocky horror picture show either to be honest, but how come you don't watch movies to often? Of course I don't watch movies to much either because I normally fall asleep to them or cable tv =3.

HintOfCholera 06-28-2010 02:21 PM

I've seen both and love both. I have a crush on Repoman and graverobber hehehe.

lonelyotaku 06-30-2010 05:05 AM

The GraveRobber looked really familiar to me, I think I seen him in another movie although I didn't find him cute. It does suck I got to watch the movie only once. My boyfriend doesn't take to well to gore like I do.

AldreaOrcinae 06-30-2010 05:47 AM

Heh....for some reason I found Nathan kind of attractive. And then I went "ACK IT'S GILES WTF IS WRONG WITH ME?!"

lonelyotaku 07-01-2010 05:09 AM

we woman do have strange tests in men if you find him attractive I wouldn't worry at all.

Repo! A Genetic Opera

So, has anyone else seen this?
My roommate showed it to me while I was at an anime con and I fell in love with it.

Marguerite Blakeney 09-06-2010 07:34 PM

I just went to a local Shadowcast two Saturdays ago. Have seen the movie quite often because friends forced me to watch it but it's not exactly my cup of tea.

But damnit, "Bravi" is stuck in my head today!

SaetonChapelle 09-07-2010 04:16 AM

I own this movie and I am telling you it's BEAUTIFUL! It's a fantastic opera, filled with gorgeouse music, wonderful characters, and a very round and ful-fledged story plot. With so many amazing actors and actresses.

It is gory though, and violent. If you're not into blood or watching organs and spines being removed this might not be one for you. Rape is mentioned, along with some other touchy subjects. It IS an adult opera.

I would recommend it any day. :3

I <3 Mark It Up. 'Nuff said.

IadulDraculai 09-07-2010 03:51 PM

I have a really hard time getting Zydrate Anatomy out of my head...

SaetonChapelle 09-09-2010 07:09 PM

Ya know it took me forever to realize that chick was Paris Hilton. As well as the girl from Spy Kids and the dude from Buffy as Nathan. Cracked me up. Amazing how many good actors were placed into this film, especially how it's really not known by too many besides an inclosed community... and Hot Topic shoppers. Oo

GrapexJuice 09-15-2010 04:03 AM

"Zydrate comes in a little glass vial. ~A little glass vial? ~A little glass vial. And the little glass vial goes into the gun like battery. And the zydrate gun goes somewhere against your anatomy. And when the gun goes off, it sparks and you're ready for surgery. SURGERY!"

Zydrate Anatomy is my favorite song in the movie, and I absolutely love all the characters to death!
Chiloh and Graverobber are my ultimate favorites though.
Guhhh I need to watch this tonight.

Marguerite Blakeney 09-15-2010 04:21 AM

I was thinking of going to watch the next Shadowcast this Saturday but they're midnight showings in an area I'm not used to being around at.

Still...it was interesting to watch.

SaetonChapelle 09-15-2010 04:56 PM

I just got to see the live action one a little while ago. I would still recommend the movie, as anyone who has ever seen it will know that you get a different feeling from watching the movie than actually being there. I adore opera's, and I love seeing things live, but the movie places you in a whole different setting than you would receive being there. Probably one of the only ones I'd ever say that about.

Yosuke Hanamura 09-16-2010 05:38 AM

I saw it and thought it was alright. It didn't really live up to the hype though so I was a tad bit disappointed. :c

Captain Howdy 09-16-2010 11:13 PM

I've gone ahead and merged these two threads, as they both cover the same topic. ;D

Avaryc 09-28-2010 02:06 PM

Seen it twice. Pretty interesting. I like the music. Story could have been executed a bit better, but all in all, very interesting.

candycoloured 10-02-2010 11:07 AM

I loved it. The music took a bit of adjusting to though. I can understand why some people don't like it, it's very disjointed and a bit clunky. I got used to it, and now love it, aside from Seventeen. That whole scene was utterly ridiculous. xD;;

xRhii 10-03-2010 03:00 AM

I absolutely love Repo! It's my all time favorite movie, and I honestly hope the make the sequel and prequel. Have you read the comics? They are just as good, if not better cause they go into further detail with the story line. <3

Squeegepooge 11-03-2010 09:07 PM

I love this movie! I saw the preview when I watched The Spirit on DVD, and within about a week had bought Repo online. I love Sarah Brightman, or whatever her name is, as Mag, it's hard to think of her as Christine from Phantom of the Opera. I thought it was so funny when Nathan snapped the guys neck and then repossessed his SPINE. lol

YamiSora 11-04-2010 06:07 AM

wow Sora has to get around more XDD
Sora has been talking about this movie in other threads.....
anyways, Sora loves this movie and this is the only horror movie that Sora will EVER watch XP
the cast is great and the music is awesom saucem!!!! 8DD

Leerah 11-05-2010 11:33 PM

I really like Repo, and I love Graverobber and Blind Mag <3
I loved watching them reposes the organs and stuff xD I thought that part was so awesome <33

I wasn't very fond of Rocky Horror though, I just watched it like a week ago, before Halloween. It was okay, but not really my thing.

Raine1313 02-13-2011 04:30 PM

I love both The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Repo! and I introduced my best friend to both of them ^.^
Now we both recite lines from the movies to each other, it's halarious.
Plus me and my group of friends all love The Rocky Horror Picture Show, exam week we all sat there and watched it while we waited to go to our next exam it was a blast and now we're always singing The Time Warp ^.^

~LONGCAT~ 02-28-2011 06:14 PM

Love this movie. Seriously I hate musicals but this one just is awesome. I even played in a Repo!rp with my own Zdrate junkie and a Amber bodyguard.
