Aurora smiled a bit as he offered her the flower. Still she did decline. "I am sorry, I need to be far more clear. I am the one who made the poison years ago. No one else had found the flower prier." Aurora said to him.Maybe it would scare him. Maybe he would not understand. The second was for the better. Aurora may have been a white necromancer, but she was still a necromancer. She did not kill people, or at least very often.
I can tell you, if I do go for the rose. It is probably not for a good reason. Which was also true. No one there had angered her in the least bit. But secretly Aurora had murdered the selfish in the past. Aurora even drank it herself. Not that it did anything. She realized she was probably being a bit creepy towards Thaddeus. Aurora had sent this to his mind. Glancing up to see Guinevere was standing on her Balcony. Though she was three stories up. One could never be sure. A change in subject perhaps? "I met the other girls. Lovely beings they are. Although the ill will not stay in her bed I found." She said with a small laugh. The temperature outside had to be less that freezing. Her lips and skin were that beautiful hypothermia color. Yet the cold was really doing nothing to Aurora. Her human body was just reacting to it. |
Thaddeus listened with interest. Very few things put him off nowadays. He had learned how so many people are so different, and you can't judge one because you've known the other. You can just guess. And Thaddeus was good at guessing.
So Aurora had made this poison. Years ago. No one else knew of it. So she had made it out of anger? Revenge? Poison was used for one thing and one thing alone: to kill. So who was it she had wanted to kill? What had they done to make her so mad? Aurora seemed a very passive woman. Very peaceful. A healer, at heart. So what could someone do to make her turn towards the darker side of her arts? "That is quite interesting, milady. Please do ask if you ever need it again." he said with a kind smile. He wouldn't dig into that part of her past. She obviously didn't want to speak of it. Maybe she was ashamed? Or just didn't like that. Thaddeus more or less let it go, but it still intrigued him. The king was surprised when Aurora changed the topic. "Yes. they are quite lovely. Speaking of the ill child, how is her condition?" Thaddeus asked, noticing now that they were directly below Guinevere's closed in balcony, "Shall we venture inside? For some warmth?" he asked, gesturing towards the door. Though, Thaddeus did have to say, Aurora did look quite beautiful frozen. |
Honestly, her past was just that. Her past. Everything about her is written in a book, deep below the ground. Lost with all the others of her kind. Why she had done it? There was no reason for it now. Times like these, Aurora felt regret. In was in her nature to study. To gain knowledge. Her kind were known for that simple art. Seeing as they were all very much cursed. There were also times where Aurora did get angry. Such as when she was attacked by the group.
Just a few months ago. She was somewhere in Europe. It started with one blood sucker. Pressing her against the wall. Normally Aurora fought back, but this time was different. Two more came.Holding her hands. Another called the rest. The clan, the pack, the hunters. Drinking every drop of her very soul. Although even that would not kill her. Of coarse not. "She will be alright. Although she is not responding very fast to anything I give her. She is only human, so I refuse to give her anything higher. At least for now." Aurora told him. Following his gesture towards the door. As they went back inside, Aurora pulled her sleeves up. Not worrying about the crescent shaped scars on her arms. Or better, not even thinking about it. The temperature change was sudden from cold to hot. Warming her quickly. Although Thaddeus was sure to notice the scar. "Your curiosity confuses me. I can see how much you wish to ask,but you are far to polite to even think of it. I admire that in you Mi'Lord." He was a vampire after all, and should know what it was. Maybe even notice how there were none on her neck. |
Thaddeus smiled, at least the child was doing well, "Good, good. Please do keep treating her. If that isn't too much to ask of you, Lady Aurora." Thaddeus asked of her when they reentered the palace. It was then the king saw the scar. Or worse yet, scars. An almost uncountable number of scars all over her arms. But none on her neck... What brutal savages had done this? What vampires had disgraced the name and title of Vampire? Thaddeus was easy to say, disgusted. But not my Aurora, but the animals that had violated her like this. Yes, Thaddeus had his times where he could not control himself, but he would never do something on this level, even then.
Thaddeus was snapped out of his thoughts when Aurora spoke. It took him a moment to shake is anger and to think about what she had said, so she needn't repeat it, "I have learned the hard way, milady, that if you ask the wrong questions at the wrong time, you can quite a lot of.... Anger coming in your direction." he hesitated as he looked for the right word, "And, well, if I knew everything about everyone, life would be no fun. Now would it?" Thaddeus asked with a smile. The door had been enchanted to lead wherever Thaddeus wished it to lead, and now they were in Lady Aurora's room, with a small fireplace burning, to help her frozen body come back to life. Not that she truly needed it, but a humans body was meant to be warm. Functioning would be harder though, without the warmth in her veins. |
Instinctively, Aurora stepped right towards the fire. Standing just mere yards from the burning flames. "I suppose not" She replied to him after the long awaited moments. Aurora was unsure what to say. She simply rested a hand on her hip in a very modern manner as her body thawed. The color returned to her face just as quickly as it had left. Giving her the human life back she was not supposed to have in the first place.
"Do you ever feel out of place Thaddeus?" Aurora asked him.Just a random thought really after spending time with the girls. Even though Aurora did not look a day over twenty, she still had the mind and age of an old woman. ((Writers block >.<)) |
((Sorry for the huge wait XP Both writers block and soem other life-related stuffs. I am very saddened to see that even after all this time, you and I are still the only ones playing D: ))
Thaddeus thought on Aurora's question for a little while before responding, "Yes... I feel as such all the time." he said as he sat down in a plush chair near the fire, "While I may live within my element, when people visit, I see the outside world. I feel like I should belong there, but can't." he said, his voice far-off and almost dreamy. He got like this often. "And you, milady? Do you ever feel quite out of place?" he asked her as his sapphire eyes traced up her warming figure back to her face. |
((Lol, I thought you got bored. But Yeah >.< Could always start it over if you want. Start fresh. But it up to you ^_^ ))
"Of coarse I do." Aurora replied to him. Without even missing a beat it seemed. By this point, she did pause. Running a few fingers threw the bottom of her hair. "I am one who studies death and life. Although I simply do not do half of the things I am required to do for my profession... Making me sort of an outcast for my.. people." She was speaking very generally. Thaddeus could probably tell it wasn't what she wanted to say. It was what came out though. "As you can probably tell, my scent is very strong. That is my curse." By this time, Aurora turned towards the vampire. "I am sure you know how it is like to outlive everyone you meet. Right?" Her mind traced back to the two girls. It saddened her to know what they would become, and what eventually would happen.. |
((If you want to start fresh, we can. I can send PMs to those no longer playing. Or, I can send them PMs saying I'm taking them off the list and I can write something up that had them leave the palace and we could in a sense start new...))
Thaddeus watched her face and heard in her voice that she was finding it hard to get the right words to come out in the right way. But he said nothing. When she noted about her scent, Thaddeus couldn't help but to smile slightly. It wasn't like he was going to ignore the amazing smell. He wasn't going to act on it either, though. Not unless she let him. Thaddeus was better than that. Right now anyways. He had fed recently. "I know the feeling all too well." Thaddeus said sadly to her asking him if he knew how it felt to outlive someone, "I have a graveyard for those who had decided to stay here with me... I recently lost someone to Death's grip." he said as he looked down and over to the fire. That man had been a good friend of his. |
((Im good with either. If you want more people. I mean more people could be fun^^ If we did start over new, I may have Aurora already be there lol))
Many others would find the king having a grave yard rather creepy. Aurora on the other hand thought it to be a loving gesture. Something over came her when she heard him mention loosing a friend. Aurora took a few steps towards the king. Embracing him in a simply hug. It was all too human of Aurora to comfort another in that way. "That is sweet of you to do such a thing." She finally said. Letting go of the man. In simple case he did not want to be touched. "He did not go anywhere horrid though. Death being a very nice individual." |
((What do you mean by more peoples? I'm confused now o.o))
Thaddeus didn't quite know how to react tot he hug. Or the compliment. For some reason, it was as if he hadn't ever been hugged before. Not like that, anyways... It was strange. But in a good way. The touch was nice. It was honest, and caring. "Thank you. And I know Death must be truly a kind creature at heart, but it's sad to see friends go like that." the kind said with a sad sigh as he looked up at Aurora. How long had she lived? She had lived long enough to know what it was to loose a loved one. At least a few generations old. But to know as much as she did... She must have been much older than that. Thaddeus wondered if she would live forever. Maybe he would too. Maybe she could stay... His eyes betrayed his loneliness. |
((Other players with other characters of coarse!))
Aurora took a seat in one of the chairs in her room. Offering Thaddeus the other seat. It was nice speaking with him. Since she rarely did seem to get to. Usually either being put down by her elders. "There is no need to wonder. I am not that old. Maybe a couple hundred years or so. Lost track to be honest. Reading about the past can do that to you." She said with a laugh. Although Aurora was far off. She was truly close to a thousand by now. Maybe even two thousand. After all, it was far back when even god would speak to his people one on one. That was when she was personality cursed. Other necromancers now a days do not have a thing done to them. "So tell me. How did you end up living in such a place?" |
((Oh, I feel smart now XP I think I'll send a PM and send those characters off. I like our little conversation here :D))
Thaddeus smiled as he found his estimate being close tot he mark. But something told him that Aurora was much older than only a few hundred. Her scent -like wine, which only gets richer with age- was near overwhelming. So, maybe she truly had just lost track of time. Or she just didn't want o touch-down in that part of her life. Either way, it was nice to know someone who had years behind them. "It was a birthday present." the king answered when Aurora asked him how he came upon the castle, "Mother and father thought I would like it." he said with a small chuckle. |
((I do too ^_^ but Im having slight writters block if you can't tell xD))
Aurora smiled towards him. Well, she always had a smile on her face when in the presence of others. But this one was slightly larger. A birthday present. It was all too simple it seemed. "This is a lovely present." She stayed quiet for a few mere seconds before crossing her ankles and pushing them a bit under the chair. "And do you?" Aurora asked Thaddeus. |
((I'll send the PMs later tonight and them we can do a time-skip of sorts to refresh things, get a new-ish start, and hopefully negate the writer's block. I was thinking about making another character to play. Maybe you could do that same and that could help as well :D))
Thaddeus watched her body language. That was something he liked to do. Watch people. It might have sounded weird to watch people, but oyu coudl learn very much from people just by looking at them. "I love the palace. It's a wondrous place. Exactly my element. and the people here are simple. They don't ask for much. Simply my protection from the outside world and fair laws." the kind said with a small, yet enthusiastic shrug. He returned Aurora's broadened smile with one of his own. His fangs glinted oh-so-slightly in the firelight. Thaddeus could feel out of the corner of his mind, that the young girl who was ill and the warrior princess were leaving the palace. Most probably to get the young girl some more medications. And a not-so-secluded area to heal in. Thaddeus had noticed that even though illness may spread faster among large groups of people, having many people there for you while you healed made the process better. |
The world was white. Everything was white, from the little flakes of white flying into his face, to the endless expanse of white crunching beneath his feet, to the fluffy white clouds hanging in the air above him. and the white was cold. Wind cut through his many layers of clothing, manifesting cold whenever it reached somewhere warm, and bringing even more cold where there wasn't. Why he had thought journeying to this desolate, frostbitten wasteland was a good idea, whatever the reason, was a complete mystery. to see the snow, he thought derisively. Ha! I've seen enough snow to last me forever and a day. I'll be glad to make it out of this alive. And to make matters worse, he was quite sure he was lost.
After a while, he decided to send a seed ahead. It was about time he figured out where he was and left. He reached into his coat, and pulled out a bad that was maybe the only thing with more layers of clothing than himself. He opened it and pulled out a tiny seed, one of the Frostflower, which he had discovered near the edge of this place. It was built to handle the cold, but not this much cold. He would have to use some of his own power to keep it alive long enough for it to tell him where he was. Taking out another bag, he spilled some dirt, then planted the seed in it. He then used his magic to make it grow, putting emphasis on large roots and warmth. A stem arose, then leaves, then a bud, which finally opened into a bright blue flower, white around the edges. This he placed his hand over, and the flower began to "speak". It told him that he was currently facing northwest, and that there was little other foliage nearby. Then it told him something that made him reconsider his destination. Not far to the north, there was an extremely large growth of crystal. This alone wouldn't have interested him, plant lover that he was, but it was hollow, and that made an impression. However little he knew about minerals, he knew that a hollow crystal growth was unusual, perhaps impossible. So he chose to force his way through the cold for a few hours longer, and journey towards this phenomenon. Taking a seed from the Frostflower, he set off, the blizzard engulfing his form once again. |
Aurora too noticed to two girls were leaving. So it would only be Thaddeus and she in the castle alone. Well for the most part. The invisible help were always about also. Aurora was glad, he at least was a very civil man. And a walking dead at that. She noticed it seemed to dim out. Was the sun setting? Meaning it would only grow colder out on the frozen wasteland. She worried about the girls. But at the same time knew they would be alright. Worrying was only human of her, right? Out her window she could see the tower, the one Thaddeus had asked her not to go into. Aurora had to wonder what was in the far place. Although that was just her curiosity speaking. If she were a cat, she would certainly be dead by now. "What do you do around here for fun?" Aurora asked him. It was a bit ill-mannered compared to her usual way of speaking. But most likely her more modern way of speaking. |
Thaddeus smiled lightly at her. The cold king was glad to have her for company. It was very nice.
"For fun?" he asked when she put the question to him. Thaddeus had to think on that one. He wasn't quite sure. He didn't really have fun. There wasn't really anyone around to have fun with. "I don't really. My fun is had when there are guests in the palace. When they are gone... I either read, sleep, or play the harp until I can play no longer. Solitude doesn't hold much fun." he said with a soft sigh as he looked at her with his icy eyes. He would leave. But the world out there... He would rather be alone than be in that world. It almost was if hell had come up and swallowed it all. |
Aurora looked away for a bit. Complete Solitude. Aurora could not imagine such a thing. She at least had always been around people. Weather or not she wanted to or not was a completely different story. Aurora though decided to zone in on a simple part of the sentence. "You play the harp? I would love to hear it." Aurora, though never interested in learning how to play an instrument herself, did not mean she did not enjoy music. She followed the great writers of the time. Well, everyone was back then at the very least. ((Beh short >.<)) |
"Yes I do. Here," Thaddeus stood and extended his hand for her's, "Let me take you there."
The cold king took Aurora through the vast crystal halls. In some of the ballrooms, she could see ghosts of guests and friends long gone, still dancing to a silent tune. He took her up to the top-most level of his palace. What was left of the sunlight shone in through the thin crystal glass and lit the room with purples and orange. In the center was a silver harp. A large one at that. Thaddeus let go of Aurora's hand and sat by the harp, pulling it onto his shoulder. Then, with pale, slender fingers. He began to play. It was a beautiful tune. It was almost sad. But one could also see it as a song that spoke of tears and joy. Like the music you might hear at a wedding. ((I don't think hauntu4ever is gonna be on anytime soon... We might have better luck making this a one-on-one D:)) |
She was led threw the castle. It seemed each hallway she was brought down turned out to be entirely different from any other. One thing that caught her fancy were the ghosts still roaming the place. Normally because something was holding them there, but these ghosts seemed happy to still be there. They did even seem to know they were past. At least that was the feeling given to Aurora Aurora listened carefully to the tune he played. The room seemed to change and shift as he did play. She was standing just behind him. He played beautify. It reminded of her the ocean for some reason. But more so a tune you were to hear at a wedding. It was beautiful to say the least. Aurora moved slightly, resting her hands on his free shoulder. Although she dare not Disturb him in his prime. Once the king's song was finished though, she chimed up after letting the tune settle in. "Truly beautiful." ((works for meh^^ lol)) |
((So I'll set up a one-on-one? Where would you like to start?))
Thaddeus played and played. He didn't even feel Aurora place her hand on his shoulder until he was finished. The entire palace was filled with the music. Carried through the walls and the floor. "Thank you. It's my favorite. My mother wrote it." he said softly as he turned to look up at her. |
(( It could start a week or so later. Something like that maybe? lol.))
|
((Cool. I'll set that up then :D))
|
((NONONO, WAIT!!!!! sry, I keep forgetting that Mene doesn't email me about these things... I'm not too late, am I?))
|
((Um... I think that'd be up to Black. I'm cool either way it goes. But if this is going to work, we have to keep things moving :\))
