That's what I'm afraid of wherever I move... That there will be some scary natural phenomenon. Where my family lives it's really just lake effect snow and a bit of flooding sometimes.

maidenroseheart 01-02-2012 03:49 PM

Hawaii you can tell which ones are active... I am not sure where is worse... twisters scared me like none other. I was near Joplin last spring when that storm went through. Scared me like none other. I really want to be somewhere a bit safer.

Dottie Mae Evans 01-02-2012 03:51 PM

There is no where safe. >_<; An earthquake happened in DC metro area of all places. So I mean, no place is safe. :P An earthquake could happen in Miami for all I know. :-X

Kirin Rosenbaum 01-02-2012 03:51 PM

Floods are no fun either. Been through floods and a tornado where I am. I think, personally, that earthquakes would be the worse though.

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2012 03:52 PM

We had a small earthquake here over the summer. It really scared the people in New York City but I didn't feel it myself.

Kirin Rosenbaum 01-02-2012 03:54 PM

Hurricane's would be scary as hell too. Never been in one myself.

maidenroseheart 01-02-2012 03:55 PM

I wouldn't want to either

I had been through Andrew and other hurricanes. Although Andrew was more scarier because I was a little kid at the time in a hurricane shelter. At least I wasn't in the south end of Dade county. ^_^;

We had a hurricane here over the summer but it didn't hit us directly. The power was out for two days but that was about the worst that happened in our town.

Dottie Mae Evans 01-02-2012 04:01 PM

Yeah. I remember one hitting Virginia in 2011, although it wasn't that "bad" per se. Some people had it worst than others. Some people didn't know how to prepare either.

maidenroseheart 01-02-2012 04:02 PM

yeah... I'll stay inland :D thank you though!

zigbigadorlube 01-02-2012 04:04 PM

People were going crazy here buying out water and batteries and everything else they could get their hands on including milk and eggs. To me the milk and eggs seems moronic. If the power goes out, those things are just going to spoil. V_V

Fiona_Watergate 01-02-2012 04:05 PM

hello everyone ^_^

I went to Myrtle Beach this summer and prayed that we wouldn't get a hurricane. The whole time we were there that silent prayer was going through my head. Once we had gone to visit family in Massachusetts and like two days after we got home a hurricane hit.

maidenroseheart 01-02-2012 04:05 PM

The eggs should be fine for several days. They actually don't need to be kept as cold like milk. Milk on the other hand... feel like making cheese?

I know, I was thinking to myself... Man some people are just dumb. They need to watch all the hurricane specials I watched over and over again. Especially the one the county puts out. XD! Or have them learn what "dot" to do during a hurricane. Some people buy alcohol during one and that just baffles me.

Ugh... :( That sucks. At least you weren't harmed during the Myrtle Beach one, although it must of been boring during the storm. :(

Thanks. I like him. Though I wish I had something besides the halo for the silver on top. Like the crown that matches my staff.

Fiona_Watergate 01-02-2012 04:09 PM

I have it if you would like to use it. <3

Yeah, getting drunk during a dangerous event like that is not the brightest thing to do. And the sad part is that if they end up in trouble, it's honest hard working firemen that put their lives in danger and sometimes die trying to save idiots like that.

Dottie Mae Evans 01-02-2012 04:12 PM

Yeah, and yet some people still do dumb things.

Anyways hello to everyone. :D! I think I should get something to eat other than cookies.
