my vday went well, Hummy! it was really laid-back, we just watched TV. my partner hurt his back really badly, so he was pretty bedridden. :( our real v-day date is gonna be going to see Les Mis soon. :D (the stage version, not the movie)

will do!! i always have too. i listen to the soundtrack a lot. it's not on Broadway, just at our local theater, but still! i've only ever seen one musical on Broadway, but i've seen a good handful of musicals, and i was in some too in high school. i used to want to be a musical theater actor, but all the auditions and rejections or being in the company just weren't my style.

the Lion King sounds good!! my partner already saw it though and he doesn't watch anything twice, so i'm prolly never gonna see it. [lol]

That is understandable. Being in theatre isn't for everyone.
I love acting and singing, but personally, I could never do theatre! I would much rather do film as it's more forgiving and it seems like less pressure. Film is a much more relaxed atmosphere.
I kind of wish that I'd done musicals in high school, though, but I went to a different city's high school than the city I lived in, so I had no friends and I didn't have any confidence that they would like me because I was new. :c

I liked the Lion King. :D It was really good! I hope you get to see it someday.

aww, i hate that feeling! i was always the new kid in elementary school because i switched schools so much, and then in middle school i lived in a city really far away from my school, so i totally get that feeling. i only ever really got involved in high school, which was 5 minutes away from where i lived and where i stayed all 4 years.

film does sound more relaxed. i did a little film at an acting summer camp i went to and i remember feeling more self-conscious than with stage, but otherwise liking it. much less sitting around backstage doing nothing...

oh yeah, definitely! i had a hard enough time making friends as it was. u_u;

It's an awful feeling. I didn't really change schools a lot, but my friends I grew up with were in elementary school and middle school with me, then in high school, I changed schools and ended up not knowing anyone there. My high school was a lot bigger than any school I've gone to, so it was really hard to get to know people. And then my last three years of high school, I ended up doing online anyway...

I graduated early, but I was still able to walk with my high school class at graduation when they had theirs.

Making friends is hard. I wish it were so simple, but I am really shy and it's hard for me to find things to talk about, and I never talk to strangers (except online, which is so much easier for me)....

that must've really sucked, Ava! altho i would've loved online high school tbh... but not losing all my friends. :( i'm so the same way as you, i'm really shy and socially anxious so making conversation is hard, much less new friends.

I totally get how crazy life can be and pull us offline - that's me most days. I totally meant to be more active in this thread.. Oops! Yeah,that didn't go as planned! D: (2 little ones, while pregnant, plus trying to keep the house in some sort of order = one crazy Luna!) [lol]
