Artemis smiled at him. "You're more than welcome Lčan," she told him, giving him a quick hug before hearing her watch go off. "Well, that's my cue. I'll be back to get you in the truck, OK?" she told him.
|
Léan nodded, feeling too tired to respond to her hug. He laid his head down on the cool metal once more and impatiently awaited her return. He couldn't wait to get out of this hellhole of a tank.
|
Artemis left, making sure everything worked and hiding everything before Aidan walked in. She then hid her suitcase in the back of his large moving van-like truck. "Hey Aidan!" she said cheerfully, walking over to him when she went back inside.
"Oh, hey Arty!" Aidan said cheerfully, hugging his friend. "How are you?" "Getting bullied as usual," Artemis said dryly. "What else is new?" she said, laughing a little. "Aw, that sucks. Is there anything you wanted to do before leaving here and going to the beach?" "Yeah, I need to make a quic trip to the ladie's room. I'll be back, OK?" she told him before running off towards the restrooms and taking a diffrent route back to Lčan's tank, pushing the button on the remote so Aidan would go look. When he left for the first recorder, Artemis ran into Lčan's room and kneeled next to him. "Time to get you out of here Lčan. We have about 10 minutes until the last recorder goes off, so I'm going to carry you to the truck, OK?" she told him. "Don't worry, I usually ride in the back anyways, he won't think anything's wrong." |
Léan managed to lift his head when Artemis returned. He looked unhappy about having to be carried, like he was just a bunch of dead weight. But, he nodded idly. He took a minute or so to pull himself out of the water, tail and all, and waited for her to scoop him up.
He still didn't look pleased about the whole ordeal. But he would be willing to do a lot more to get out of this tank. |
Artemis smiled softly at him, picking him up and carefully walking out of the room and down the stairs. Once down, she ran as fast as she could to the truck, jumping up and uncovering a large tank full of seawater. She then placed Lčan inside, glancing out to the exit, then to her watch. "Alright, he should be coming back any minute now, so I'll have to put the cover back on. Stay as quiet as possible until the truck starts shaking a bit. That means he started the engine and we're on our way out of here," she explained.
ooc: OMG it's past 12 AM where I am! D: I need to get off before I fall asleep at the keyboard. TT^TT Night! *hugs* |
((Night!))
Léan was barely listening, but he nodded. The fresh seawater felt better than the water in the tank had, but it was still missing something...something only the ocean had. What that was wasn't clear... But the lack of it was making him fall ill. He stayed quiet, sinking to the bottom of the tank and curling up to rest a while. |
Artemis then put the cover back on, and a few minutes later Aidan came out.
"I was running all over the place trying to find you!" he exclaimed, trying to catch his breath. "Sorry about that, I was impatient," Artemis said, "Please forgive me?" "Of course Arty. Now are you going to stay back here or do you want to come up front this time?" "I'll stay back here," Artemis said cheerfully. "Don't worry about me." "OK then. To the beach!" Aidan said with a smile, closing the truck before going into the front and starting it up, pulling out of the aquarium/merpeople death trap and heading for the beach. Artemis sighed a breath of relief before uncovering the tank a littl so Lčan could come out. Seeing that he needed to rest, Artemis put the cover back on, and laid down on the floor next to the tank to get some rest as well. |
Lčan opened his eyes to look at her. Underwater, he seemed to have a certain glow to him that he didn't when he was above water. His hair billowed out above him, shimmering golden, and the scales on his tail seemed to sparkle.
Right now, he didn't look so hot, since he wasn't feeling well. But once he was better...that beauty would be quite noticeable. |
Artemis turned over to look at him, blushing a little when she saw him underwater. She hesitantly put a hand against the glass, smiling sleepily at Lčan. Artemis's hair was fanned out on the floor, and her eyes looked curious as she looked at Lčan.
|
Léan placed his hand against the glass, as well, before dropping it and settling down to rest once again. He could think of nothing right now but the open ocean, the various kinds of fish swimming around him...
He was homesick. Literally. |
[I'm going to have to draw that. XD It'll give me something to do since I CAN'T SLEEP. D:]
Artemis smiled softly at him before dropping her hand as well, yawning and drifting off to sleep. |
((I can't sleep, either! D: ))
Léan was awakened by a particularly nasty bump, which shook the tank. He shook his head a few times, startled, and slowly began to regain his bearings. He didn't like being woken up so suddenly. |
Artemis woke up too, sitting up and looking around. "Well, Aidan always seems to hit that bump. Meaning, we're almost at the beach. I guess it's his way of telling me we'll be there soon... Sorry about that Lčan," she whispered, smiling softly at him.
|
Léan shrugged, running a hand through his hair absently. He could already smell the ocean, even through the water he was in. He was dying to get back into it.
|
Artemis smiled softly at him, sitting up when the truck stopped at the beach. "Stay quiet Lčan," she told him, covering the tank.
Aidan then opened the back of the truck. "We're here Arty! I have to run to the gas station because the truck ran out of gas. Be good while I'm gone OK?" Artemis nodded, hugging Aidan gently. "Of course. I'll see ya later," she told him cheerfully. "K bye!" Aidan said cheerfully, hugging her back before walking to the nearest gas station. Once he was gone, Artemis grabeed her suitcase. There were backpack-like straps on it, so she put it on before uncovering the tank and smiling at Lčan. "Time to get you back in the ocean," she told him, smiling softly. |
Léan rose up out of his resting spot, joyously. His tail flicked back and forth eagerly. It would take him a few days to fully recover, but he would be back to normal in no time. His eyes shone with excitement, eagerness.
He moved to the top of the tank, to make his removal from it much easier. |
Artemis grinned, picking Lčan up and carefully climbing down from the truck, running down the beach and into the water. She ran until the water was up to her knees, placing Lčan in the water and smiling at him. She looked out at the ocean. Soon, I'll be living in the ocean, she thought, her smile growing a little before looking back at Lčan.
|
Léan immediately shot out to seek deeper water, and rolled around in the waves. He was feeling better already, for he leaped up out of the water, much like a dolphin would, and swan-dived back in. He was a quick swimmer...
He poked his head up to look at her, curiously. |
Artemis grinned, smiling as she went back to shore and took off her T-shirt and skirt, revealing her bathing suit. She had wanted to swim for a bit, so she hid her clothes and suitcase and swam out to Lčan, ducking underwater and swimming quite fast for a human. Because of this, her mother often called her "Little Mermaid".
She resurfaced next to Lčan, her hair now shimmering from being wet. |
Léan laid back, so that he was floating on his back. He drifted as he floated, farther out to sea. He closed his eyes, relaxing as he did this.
He was so happy to be back where he belonged. No tank could ever live up to his glorious home. |
Artemis smiled when she saw how happy he was. She was delighted that Lčan was where he belonged, and not in some tank that put him on display like a circus animal. Lčan was no animal. He may be part fish, but he was also human too... Unfortunately, Artemis wasn't sure she could swim as far as Lčan was going- she got a bit scared when she couldn't touch the bottom.
|
Léan noticed this, and stayed a good distance from her, so that they could still see and speak to each other. He, of course, wasn't worried about how deep the water was, since he could breathe underwater.
|
Artemis smiled softly at Lčan. "How's the water feeling?" she asked, looking from Lčan to the beautiful night sky.
ooc: Gaaahhhh, writer's block. I'm getting really tired though, so I'm going to get off.... Night! |
((Night!))
"Nice and cool," Léan crooned, rolling around several times in the water. He ducked under for a brief moment and then resurfaced, shaking his hair out and splattering water everywhere. |
Artemis grinned, diving underwater as she decided to face her fears. She swam through the water, resurfacing behind Lčan silently before giving him a quick hug and swimming back to where she was. She resurfaced, giggling and shaking her head, sending water flying from her hair.
