Coincidentally, they all meet at the museum's newest artifact; titled the Jian De Chi Cun or the Sword of Dimensions. And the moment the last person touches the glass, they are suddenly taken back into the Imperial Era of the Yuan Dynasty; some years after the Mongols defeated the Jurchen tribes or the Jins. With no other choice, the six individuals--who are also rumored to be the Six Heroes of Yuan--travel around, searching for a way back into their original time. Liu Guo De Gu Shi the.Story.of.Six;; - - Origins of the Three Sects - - the.Lotus.sect;; One of the earliest recorded fighting styles in China and the members of this sect know it well. Many years prior to the start of the Yuan Dynasty, they say that two sword dancers once lived. Xiao Li Lan; the Mistress of the Wind and Yang Rong'er; the Lady Tigress of the Earth. Both beauties and both at their prime, they often greeted one another in friendly swordplay. That was until they fell in love with the same man. A bitter rivalry grew between the both of them... However, during an angry fight, the man they both loved had sacrificed himself before both women finished one another off. Devastation and guilt plagued these two women and a long while after the man's burial, the women had found three lotus flowers on top of the man's gravestone. This symbolizing the special bond the three of them had shared... This was the birth of the Weeping Lotus fighting style. A bittersweet yet powerful style that takes two to master. However, before learning the Five Petals of the Weeping Lotus stance; both warriors must master two other styles. The basic element of which they represent and the Three Points Palm stance. the.Yin.Yang.sect;; To those who lived and trained under this sect know of the the truth and the outcome of how their sect came to be. A long while ago two elementalists of the names Liu Jin Ru and Long Renshu were forever cursed as rivals. Liu Jin Ru, the Master of the Eastern Seas and Long Renshu, the Master of the Sacred Sands. Fire and Water, a weakness of one another. Both clans were bitter enemies, causing all sorts of destruction in their wake... Until another evil rose. A master of both Fire and Water; knowing and fighting its own weakness; this Master knew of nothing but bitterness and hate. This caused massive damage on both clans. At first both warriors worked solo and the outcome came for the both of them; both were at lost... Not knowing what to do. That was until another idea came to play... Like the old saying goes "Fight fire with fire"... And this was the birth of the Yin and Yang fighting style. A powerful and highly effective style that takes two to master. However, before learning it's signature Seven Strokes of the Yin and Yang stance; both warriors must master two other styles. The basic element of which they represent and the Three Stances of the Circle of Life: Birth, Life and Death. the.Celestial.sect;; The Disciples who live and strive under this style know of how this bond came to be. A myth similar to the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet; this story begins with two Masters. An unnamed male who mastered the Art of Darkness and the unnamed female who fought under the Holy Light. Two strangers who dueled and fought a lot; however soon enough fell in love. But the moment their love was discovered by the both clans, they were forbidden to see one another. A civil war broke out, but the unnamed female was forced to stay behind. Of course, the female hid herself and managed to follow the army to the battlefield. As she made her way to the front lines, she found her lover fighting with one of her clan's best warriors and it was clear that he was losing. Before the warrior had the chance to even use the final blow, the female jumped into the aid of her lover and used her body as a shield. She died almost instantly, bidding her lover her final farewell. Out of grief and a broken heart, the Dark Master used whatever he left to slay the warrior; however he was so engrossed in his rage, he was struck down by one of the arrows of the Light clan. Slowly, he crawled to the dead body of his lover... Took her hand and died right then and there. The civil war then stopped, both clans staring at the dead bodies of their best warriors... This was the birth of the Art of the Jade Heart fighting style. A tragedy within its own origins but powerful at the same time; it takes two to master this style. However, before learning it's final stage--the Ten Points of the Heart; both warriors must master their respective element and the Five Petals of the Falling Star stance. |

the.W a t e r.lily;; &so the s k i e s cried Zhou Meiling woke up with a start; her eyes snapping open as she bolted up from her bed. Her body shook, small beads of sweat had formed onto her forehead and there was a dampness on her neck. Her breathing had labored heavily and out of pure instinct, she quickly checked around her surroundings. I'm still... Alive... she mentally reassured herself as she dragged her fingers into her hair and pushed the front locks back. She then covered her face with her hands, before leaning back and returned to her laying down position. That dream again, why did it just suddenly return? The Chinese girl merely groaned, removing her hands from her face and glancing at the digital clock, which rad to be 9:30 am--She had another thirty minutes before the teachers did their rounds and woke up the rest of her fellow classmates. I'll save them the trouble... She sighed as she stretched out her body, listening and wincing at the loud cracks. Once she felt relaxed, a gentle yawn escaped from her lips before she pulled the covers off and dragged herself to her luggage. Today was officially the first day of her four day school trip. Her school had arrived at the capital yesterday evening and they spent most of it on some sight seeing before they were ushered to retire for the night. Meiling couldn't help but smile at the fun she and her had the night prior... They had found a nice area where a lot of teenagers had hung out for the evening and there was a lot of flirting. However, she hardly spoke... But at least her (more or less) date didn't seem to mind. He talked a lot and she merely listened. Well, at least we had some fun before the school stuff started, she couldn't help but giggle as she grabbed her bathroom things and walked over to the bathroom she and a friend shared. Luckily she had woken up before her friend did... That girl had a thing for using up all the hot water. Once she had finished her shower, she quickly hopped out of the stall and wrapped a towel around both her hair and her body. The moment she opened the door, it seemed that the teachers had yet to start their rounds; however, she found her friend going through her own bag and apparently was looking for something to wear. Both girls greeted one another as Meiling walked up to her bag and placed her bathroom things back into the case. And once the girl found her outfit (tote bag included) for the day, the knock of the door interupted the quietness of the room. "Alright girls, get up and get ready, we're leaving for breakfast and it's off to the museum. Be at the lobby in 45 minutes!" Meiling's friend ended up answering for the both of them, which allowed the teacher to move onto the next room. Taking this moment, Meiling then rushed to the bathroom as her friend began to grab her things. Quickly drying herself off and slipping on the outfit, she then allowed her friend to shower. After the girl had fixed her hair into two low pigtails, she then slipped on her boots and quietly waited for her friend to finish up. It didn't take long for both girls to get dressed and ready. Before they left the hotel room, Meiling had grabbed her favorite fedora hat and made their way down to the lobby. The moment they entered the lobby, they were greeted with the rest of the group. Giggles, laughter, talking and squealing echoed all over the bus and when the students of Xiao Yen high school ate the mid-morning meal. And by the time they were all through, it getting closer to the time of the revealing of this new artifact. The students quickly filed into the bus and enjoyed the sights as they awaited for their main destination. While her friend continued to giggle and gossip, Meiling decided to look out the window... Her mind preoccupied about her dream from earlier. It was a bit odd that her dream return after they had stopped for a long while. She couldn't help but sigh as she leaned against the window of the bus and closed her eyes for a moment. "I want to hear your voice..." she found herself saying before she was jabbed roughly on the arm. This caused her to jump as she turned to her friend, who merely laughed. "Who's voice, Sleeping Beauty?" her friend questioned, causing her to blush heavily. A soft huff emitted from her as she crossed her arms and sank lowly into her seat. Of course this made the other girls giggle before they started to apologize, while still giggling. However, they knew that she couldn't stay mad at them for long... So they decided to change the subject about the night prior. Soon more squeals and laughter echoed all around, but that was short lived when they finally made it to their destination. Once everyone was filed out and accounted for, the teachers quickly ushered the students to go straight to the new exhibit. More mindless talking echoed within the giant group as they made their way toward the new exhibit hall. And seeing that Meiling's attention started to wander, one of her best friends quickly linked arms with her and guided her back into the horde of students... Making sure that she didn't get lost for some ungodly reason. Soon enough the students finally made it to the new exhibit, adding to the pile of people who decided to join into the action and see what this new artifact was about. The students then waited as the event began. For awhile a speech made by the founder drawled on, almost making her fall asleep. Why did she suddenly become so tired? Meiling quickly shook her head, attempting to brush off the tiredness that suddenly appeared within her. Soon enough, the founder finished his speech and lifted the drape that covered the artifact. The moment that happened, her sleepiness disappeared as her eyes were practically glued to the artifact. Was it just her or did the thing start to... Glitter? Again Meiling shook her head before attempting to more closer to the artifact to get a better look. Hmmm... Kinda pretty... If it wasn't so rusted looking, she mused inwardly as she leaned forward a bit. "Excuse me!" she heard someone call out before she felt a hard shove. The girl couldn't help but squeal loudly as she tipped forward, both her arms instinctively stretching forward. Before she knew it, she heard a few more yells before both her hands came in contact to the artifact's glass. Never in her life did she ever find herself regretting that she couldn't have at least fell onto the floor... Instead, she just had to touch the glass... |
the.Everglow Light my way and fill me with hope Li Chang Ming stirred in his sleep, rolling over in his hotel bed and kicking away his blankets. The phone was ringing, signaling the wake up call that had been prompted for him around this time of day. His eyes slowly opened to reveal dark brown eyes and show him the dark room that he slept in as well as the still ringing phone. He would have let it keep ringing, but decided to pick it up, figuring that it would keep calling him until he picked up. "Hello?" His sleepiness showed in his voice as he murmured his one word responses to the person delivering his wake up call. Eventually, he hung up and fell back on his bed, recalling the dream he had. The case used to be that his dreams of a past life would come once in a blue moon, but ever since he had come to Beijing, they came to him every time he tried to get some shut eye (even on the damn plane!). Admittedly they were pretty cool, but still! Why did he have to die in the end? And why was he so in love? It was weird. But when haven't your dreams been weird? His mind had a good point. Getting out of bed, he slowly dressed himself, grabbing a white button up and then layering a gray shirt on top. And as if to contrast his semi-formal top half he wore a pair of sneakers with his khaki jeans. His school had only picked a handful of people in the essay contest as sending one would just be a waste of a contest so he ate breakfast with four others, two of them around his age and the other two about a year or two younger. Most of them, he knew only as the smart kids who were already shoe-ins for winning a contest like this with the youngest and him being the only real surprise of the group. They ate in relative silence, though mostly because only he and another were the only ones talking. The other three seemed to be more interested in their music or breakfast. Nonetheless, breakfast was finished and they headed off. The National Museum of China had many artifacts on display and a good handful of them were weapons, but none were more attractive than the museum's newest artifact: the Sword of Dimensions. Supposedly, it was found to date back all the way to the Yuan Dynasty, but that part didn't really interest Chang Ming. He cared more about the design of the sword and how the light would the glass case it was set in. He promised the school newspaper, that he would take pictures of all of the artifacts and possible write up a paper on his "adventures" there. So far though, it hadn't really been an adventure. For the most part, he became bored of bland descriptions and the "history" behind it. As interesting as it could have been, he felt better straying away and taking his own personal tour. This tour had taken him from the most well known of the artifacts in the museum to the more obscure ones, Chang taking pictures of all of them. The current "tour site" was the Sword of Dimensions which he still had yet to take a picture of. Putting his camera up to the glass case, he turned it on and started to adjust the settings, focusing in and out whilst making minute changes in the white balance in order to get the perfect shot (these were going in the paper after all). One would call him a bit of a shutterbug, but Chang didn't mind because that was precisely what he was. He liked taking pictures of different things whether it was objects, people, or animals. It was fun and he felt as though he were making art. After a few shots from different angles, Chang scrolled through the different pictures he took and deleted the ones he did not want. Overall though, he liked the results. The sword was in pretty good shape and it showed in the pictures with the light that penetrated the glass case and gleamed off of the sword a slight bit. This shot's definitely going in the paper, he thought to himself, seeing the best out of the assortment of pictures he had already taken. He was undecided about the rest, but he knew this one would definitely be there. Switching back his camera to taking pictures, he looked for some students to pass by so that he could possibly take a picture or two of them. He welcomed any new friends and possible models. He hadn't really met anyone since arriving at the museum, only learning a few names and perhaps those who had also been on the trip with him (then again they weren't the most social of people). A few people passed by, though put off by Chang Ming's camera and because of that, he had decided that he would be his own model. He didn't mind taking pictures of himself, though avoided it when he could. He preferred to take pictures of others, lest he seem like a narcissist. Backing away, he faced his camera towards him, frowning slightly in the fact that he wouldn't be able to see the picture before it was taken. Oh well. He had been taking pictures long enough to get good at this whole trial and error thing. Looking back, he saw the glass case and the sword, deciding that it would be there that he would take his picture. Smile! he said to himself, resting his elbow on top of the glass case. Oh if only he had found a model instead... |
//airvortex\\ as swift as the wind, just not as graceful Bai woke up with a low yell. His hands balled up in a rock hard fists. Why does this happen to me was all that was running in his head. His attion was forced to the copper taste in his mouth. The tightness in his hands went away. His toung felt the warmness coming from the side of his cheek. It seems he bit it in his nightmare again. The hotel room was dead quiet. His bunk mate still fast asleep. The pain from his mouth hit him in flash. He went into the bathroom to flush it out. The warm watter felt just right on his open wound. He looked at himself infront of the mirror. It looked like he hasnt slept for days. His shirt drenched in sweat. The shower head turned on after he twisted the knob to make a luke warm streem flow. His shirt hit the ground followed by his boxers. He let the watter rush over his body while his mind went on a race. A race to see the reason behind his nightmare. Every time it was differnt never the same one. The only thing thats the same is he wakes up befor he dies. A knock at the door made him come back from his toughts. His bunk mate needed the shower. He finished up got dressed. After his mate was done they went down to the meeting area. They were the first ones there. The both sat on a far table in the back. Bai started to talk mildly to his friend. Nothing to fun going on in his life. He started to say he was sorry for what happened. His friend waved him off as his gang came over to the table. Bai didnt like groups so much. If it was up to him he would be alone. He sighed a little when the tought came to mind. He used to be all alone seeing how he was white. Kids always picked on him in school. It wasnt until high school when he made friends. The four of them became best of friends over the years. The first reason why they talked to him was his nick name. They got a kick out of how he went by Bai which means white. His friends became his family. They always did like everything together.Bai started to play with the cut in his mouth. They just brang out food when he checked his wound. The cut started burning at the touch he gave it with his toung. At this pain he knew he couldnt eat. Everyone around him started to chow down. His friends even asked him what was wrong he just shook his head. After everyone was done the teacher stood up. "okay kids gather round. We have a big big big day. First we have to go over the rules. Rule number one..." Bai started to drift of into a nap. This teacher was so dull. She started talking about the rules and yada yada yada. Befor he knew it they were on the bus. Bai was so beat after the flight and the dreams of late. The bus got to loud to try and take a nap. A few of his friends were talking and playing i spy. Bai didnt want to participate in such childish games. He looked at the sites while they were driving. They pulled up to the National Museum of China. Bai was astonished with the way it looked. The firt thing that caught his eye was the gold star. He pushed his face to the glass of the window. The pillers were so unreal. He started to count them one, two, three, four. The teacher interupted his counting. The bus was almost empty by the time he looked up. He grabed his bag and ran off the bus. "Okay stay with your partners and dont get lost. Make sure you are not late to the meeting spot. Have fun and stay out of trouble....." When the teacher was done with her speach Bai found his friends. "Are you guys read?" Bai asked with a cute smile on his face. Him and his friends walked around for what seemed like days. Then one of Bai's friend's made a bet with him. Oh how Bai loved a good bet. The bet was to go next to the exibit of Jian De Chi Cun or the Sword of Dimensions. He was to talk to a girl that was touching the glass. Bai jumped up put down his bag and said "Thats it whatch this white guy work." Bai started to walk over to the Sword of Dimensions. As he walked he started to go over what to say. Should he pretend he was lost? Maybe say a corky joke or somthing. What ever he would say he knew his smile would be key. Thinking to much Bai triped over his own foot. He braced himself with the glass that encased the Sword of Dimensions. His breathing got shallow it felt like a ton of bricks landed on his chest. The thing he hated most was to lose a bet. After almost falling he knew he lost this one. He herd his friends laughing. He knew he had to atleast try. Bai closed his eyes took a breath and everything fell silent. if only he knew why it was quiet... |
Like a Rock I must stand hard Miyako Tukiko woke up early in the morning to the sounds of the bed next to hers creaking. Tukiko was a light sleeper and heard everything, this creaking did not help. She sat up in her bed and wiped her eyes, looking at her own bed she saw clothing, not her own clothing, but someone else’s. Her eyes widen as she figures on what the creaking might just be. She turned her head only slightly, “EW!!! Can’t you guys do that in someone else’s room!?” she yelled out to the two in the bed next to her. Getting up she grabbed some clothes and walked into the bathroom. Sighing softly, she turned the water to run and create some heat; she needed to get that mental image out of her head. Finally she undressed and walked into the tub, sighing softly she smiled and just laid there for a while, just relaxing. |
From The Shadows Darkness our guide, Despair our leader was The almost painful ringing of the little alarm clock beside her bed caused the figure to wince. Despite being curled in a tight ball with the thick covers cacooned around her and her head beneath the pillow, the alarm was still able to penetrate through to her ears. With a faint groan she slowly unravelled herself from her sheets, sitting up and rubbing her eyes. Mornings were bad enough, especially for one who liked the night more then the day. Having school for most of those mornings though just seemed to make everything a whole lot worse. That night's sleep had been a bad one. The same dream had come to her, for what felt like the millionth time. One of darkness, a brief glimpse of light, sounds of blades clashing, a flash of someone charging towards her, someone yelling in fear, a terrible pain in her chest, then darkness again. She would always wake up after that, before drifting back to sleep slowly. In silence she padded through to the bathroom, quickly changing out of her pajamas and stepping into the shower. It took a couple of seconds for the warmer water to kick in, and only a few minutes before once more the girl was stepping out again, wrapping herself in a warm towel and trudging back to her room. Her morning ritual was always the same. Get up, have a shower, brush her teeth, dry her hair, put make up on. The only thing that really changed was what she would be wearing that day. Mai-Jun settled for a long t-shirt, black skinny jeans, red converses and a zip up hoodie. Once she had decided she looked decent enough, she slowly made her way down stairs. All this time she had remained silent. It was as if she were listening out for something, for anothers foot steps, or a quiet voice. But no, as she arrived in the kitchen the all too familiar, and loathed note was pinned to the fridge by a colourful magnet. Mai-Jun, Gone to work early, important meeting. Go to school as normal, ready meals in the fridge. Mum and Dad She crumpled up the note, throwing it carelessly into the bin before taking a swig of juice from the carton. It wasn't as if anyone else would drink from it. Grabbing a cereal bar, she snatched the money her 'loving' parents had left for her on the table before departing the house, leaving the door unlocked so she would be able to get back in later. Jun had been planning this day for a while now, ever since she had heard of the new exhibit being prepared. She was a regular visitor to the national museum, it helped it was only a half hour bus ride away. To most people that seemed reasonable enough. However, for someone who didn't like being in crowds, or with other people in general, it was a half hour of torture. She sat hunched in the window seat, staring resolutely out of it to avoid having to speak to anyone. Most people ignored her anyway, something she was thankful for. When the bus grinded to a stop, Jun stepped down from it, not before smiling faintly to the driver. It was the same guy who drove it each time she came to the museum. While they would never call each other friends, the man had grown on her a little. "Have a nice day Jun, tell me about the exhibit later alright?" He asked in a cheerful tone. She nodded slightly before jumping the last step and letting the bus doors close so it could move on. After taking a couple of seconds to take in the familiar surroundings, Jun travelled quickly into the building. Every step was comforting, she had gone through most of the corridors and halls enough times now she knew them almost by heart. That is to say, she was unlikely to get lost any time soon. Hands in pockets, she turned a corner, mildly surprised by the amount of people gathering now. Obviously, they were clustering to get a good look at the Jian De Chi Cun, the Sword of Dimensions. It was said to be dated back to the Yuan Dynasty. Biting her lip, she drew her arms close to herself before slowly stepping closer, slipping through the crowd. Everyone was jostling her, pushing at her from every side. It was making Jun want to turn and snap at them to back off. Just as she reached the exhibition, she took a slight intake of breath. It really was a beautiful weapon. Admittedly it looked a little rusted, but that was to be expected. Smiling faintly, she reached forwards, almost touching the glass when someone accidently hit her arm. Turning she glared to them. "Do you mind backing off a little?" She growled angrily, reaching back to steady herself a little. Jun felt the cool glass beneath her fingers and her eyes widened slightly as darkness flooded in. |
Luke wanted to take a glance at his wristwatch but refrained from doing so as the atmosphere was too solemn. His parents and extended family members had accompanied grandma to pay their respects to step-grandpa. Grandma was one of those people who did ancestor worship and would present food to the grave and such. Holding a burning incense stick, Luke bowed his head respectfully before placing it in the small ash bowl and returning to his place beside his sisters. Discreetly glancing around, Luke’s mouth twitched upwards for a fraction of an inch at the notice of food offerings at other graves. There were potato chip bags accompanied with boxed juices at the faded red grave next door. Well, it was smarter than leaving rice bowls which would only mold and waste a small ceramic bowl. Oranges were a good choice but everyone knew that it was the greedy raccoons who feasted on them in the end. The family eventually moved onto burning the papers after Grandma had asked for her husband’s protection and luck over the family and Luke checked his watch. Twenty-seven minutes have passed already…well; this was his duty to the family so he could bear with prolonging his visit to the museum for a while longer.
Unlike the rest of his extended family members, Luke’s family were Christians and therefore they refrained from shelling out yellow paper into the enormous stove whose small doors were black from the previous fires inside. The old traditions believed that burning paper that symbolized as money would send real underworld money to their dead loved ones and that their dearly departed would watch over the family and bless them in return. In Luke’s cold eyes though, this was just air pollution and a waste of good paper. “Jie-jie, when I die,” he whispered to his sister “, you can just burn a simple check for me. That way it’ll be sure to reach me since it has my name and it’ll kill fewer trees if you specify the amount.” Rolling her eyes, Luke’s sister reached over and pinched him. “Don’t say such things, its bad luck,” she muttered “, but if you ever want to die, I’ll gladly kill you anytime.” Better yet, why not just shred a credit card? Luke thought but refrained from saying anything else as his mom threw him a cold look to silence him. Staying quiet throughout the rest of the ceremonies, Luke breathed a sigh of relief when the family dispersed and parted from each other with a flurry of hugs and good-byes. Piling into the car with his elder sisters, Luke waved a fare well to his parents before sticking his head up to the front seat. "C'mon Jessica, I want to get to the museum as quickly as possible," he begged. "Hold your horses and buckle up. A please wouldn't hurt as well," his eldest sibling retorted while revving up the engine. Turning out of the parking lot, the car drove down the road and after many turns and many more red lights, they finally pulled up to the museum. "Finally," Luke said under his breathe ",I thought I was going to reach my next birthday in there." His sister didn't catch what he had said and rolled down the window. "I'll pick you up at six ok? You better be by this lamp post and if you keep me waiting, you'll be taking the bus next time you need to get anywhere," she said before popping an air kiss at him and driving away. Luke jumped up the stairs, taking the steps two at a time. Reaching inside the museum, he showed the guards the tickets he had purchased online. Taking his time, Luke opened the phamplet with a layout map of the exhibit. "Art...art...ah, here it is, ancient paintings and pottery," he said with a smile. Finally, an in-person look at the historical brush strokes of calligraphy and scenic landscapes of his artistic predessecors. Running around the many corridors, Luke went through the open doors of the art section and touched the nearest display with excitement. His eyes studied the first scroll with hunger. Suddenly his eyes started to hurt. Rubbing his eyes to wipe away any access moisture, Luke reopened them, only to find his vision darken and disapear into blackness. |
This was too much... How did she end up in such a state and in the middle of some giant blood bath? Here she was, battered and beaten, dressed in some elaborate costume; kneeling on the earth below her, and she was crying again. She felt herself look around, her environment watery and blurry as she watched as bodies began to pile all around her. She couldn't hear anything though... No screams, no cries... Just her heavy breathing and the thumping of her heart. And even if she couldn't hear anything, she found herself turning her head, facing a figure not too far from her; however, this figure was still blurry. Her heart began to beat rapidly... A bittersweet smile appearing on her lips as she slowly reached out before more tears cascaded from the corner of her eyes. "Wo ai ni (I love you)..." was the first time she heard herself whisper, before she felt her chest suddenly becoming heavy and painful. My only regret in this time... Is that I couldn't tell you earlier. Please, grant me this simple wish... May it be our next life that I was able to give you my heart... - - - - - For once she didn't wake up startled, instead she found herself stirring gently. Her lower back ached though, which caused her to wince loudly as her hand slowly brushed along some grass--Wait, grass? Meiling's eyes snapped open as she sat up; ignoring the ache in her lower back. How the hell did she end up outside? And why was she in the middle of a forest? However, her unanswered questions only piled up when she noticed the rather beautiful blue and white hanfu getup she was wearing. Also the fact that her hair had grown longer, thus the elaborate hairstyle, which included the ribbons and fake flowers. She also noticed two giant rings clipped onto the sash she was wearing. What in the world was going on here? After examining herself, her eyes began to wander; landing on five more bodies who seemed to still be sleeping. A look of sheer concern and worry soon appeared on her young face as she tore her attention from the other five people and looked around for anything that was familiar to her. That was until she spotted the tote bag she had brought with her to the museum. The black bag was laying on top of a bush... Meiling sighed heavily as she pushed herself up and somewhat wobbled a bit. Her legs felt like they just tasted the motion of walking for the first time and again, a sigh emitted itself from her lips. After stepping over the unconscious male who had laid next to her (a really good looking one too, but not like she was going to tell a stranger that), she quickly made her way to the bush and plucked out her tote bag. Everything better be in there, she told herself as she opened the said thing and began to sift through the stuff. It seemed that everything was in there... Her make up, chapstick, cellphone, wallet and her... Homework? Geez, I can't even get away from homework? she questioned with a mildly disgusted expression. Brushing off the whole homework thing, Meiling reached in and pulled out her purple cellphone before she flipped it opened. No bars... she frowned slightly, Well, at least I charged up my phone overnight... This should keep me occupied for a few days... Taking this moment, she placed her bag back on the grass before taking a seat on the grass. Her eyes then landed on the group of people before they stopped at the male who had laid next to her. An odd sense of familiarly radiated from him; however, she had never talked nor seen him before. Before she knew it, a soft blush suddenly appeared on her cheeks, which caused her to tear her attention away from the group. No stop that, Mei! she inwardly scolded herself as she patted both her cheeks, Well, it's not like I have a boyfriend or anything... Unless he has a girlfriend... Oh, that'd be bad. Meiling once again shook her head... That wasn't right. Sure, she had a lot of inner conflicts with herself but this was a stranger! A person whom she had never seen or met before. I think I hit my head earlier, yeah that's it! I hit my head! Again... She quietly sighed. As much as she believed that she should probably take this chance and run... She couldn't. Meiling wanted to make sure that these people were at least alright. Besides, she had this really bad sense of direction and like hell was she going to suffer getting lost in the middle of some unfamiliar forest. I rather die by the hands of these people than die all alone in some forest... But who am I to assume that they're going to kill me? she silently smiled as she looked down at her waist, her eyes staring at the two rings clipped to her. An amused expression appeared on her young face as she reached for one and unclasped it. The girl blinked a few times, flipping it over; watching it glare as the shiny metal met with the dim sunlight. It was sharp too, she could easily see that. And seeing as no one would be awake anytime soon, she pushed herself up and stood up, waving and tossing the sharp ring around. Meiling couldn't help but giggle softly, playing with the ring... As if it were a second nature to her. But as she swung her arm to the side, the ring suddenly stuck itself into the tree that was near her. The girl gasped loudly, turning her attention to the ring and began to frantically yank it back out... Which seemed to be utterly futile. The ring seemed to have dug itself deep into the tree's side, clearly not wanting to be released from it's wooden prison. Meiling couldn't help but groan... This was going to be awhile... [OoC| Yeah, whatever you were holding at the museum... It followed you to the past! xDD] |
The battle field looked much more clearly this time with corpses and weapons strewn on the floor, where every bit of blood and every iota of his body felt pain was felt as if it really were happening to him. His breathing became shallow, labored as he felt his eyelids closing and that love he felt for his significant other overwhelm him. There was no regret there for doing what he did, dying in the place of someone else and instead just the warmth of light. It was soothing and relieved the heart-wrenching pain of his death. In his final moments he uttered a soft phrase: I love you and only then did he die...
...Only to wake up from his dream, sore and sluggish as if he had been tossed to the ground and knocked unconscious seconds ago (which is what he suspected happened). Chang Ming's dark brown eyes widened at the sight around him, not only because unconscious bodies were around him, but also because of where they were and what they were all wearing. Where were they? The set of some Wuxia movie? Granted he would have loved to star in a Wuixa movie, but not if it involved being knocked out, dragged, and undressed. He looked at his current clothing and tugged at the vest, raising a brow before tugging at...something else. When had his hair grown long enough to be tied into a ponytail? His hair still retained its light brown color, but the length was different. And...and what was this thing? He pulled the sword out and heard it make a slight clinking sound as the rings hit the metal of the blade. Well this isn't going to be the stealthiest of weapons is it? He gave a few experimental swings before stopping, hearing a thud. One of the girls had already woke up and apparently was trying to pull something out of a tree. Did she know what was going on? He ignored her for a moment to examine the others, only one of which he thought he knew. It was a girl, possibly a year younger than him that he knew he hadn't seen before. Yet, she felt so familiar. Had he just forgotten her or something? He didn't think that he did since he had a good memory for faces and even that was unfamiliar to him. He didn't know why this was, but it wasn't like he'd go over to her and wake her up to demand answers. Wait...speaking of forgetting do I still have my camera? He checked the area next to him and breathed a sigh of relief when he found his Olympus camera undamaged. He had fully charged it last night, so at the very least he could take some nice pictures of this place. His first one (of course) was of the girl yanking out something from the tree. He turned on the camera and adjusted the focus, snapping a quick shot of her. It made a slightly audible sound, but he turned the flash off so it wasn't all that conspicuous. After the picture, he walked up behind her, tapping her on the shoulder. "Hey uh...do you know where this is?" He figured that finding out the location was a good enough ice breaker as anything else. |
Her breath was ragged, pain spreading from a single point in her back that pierced through to her heart. Attempting to prevent a groan of agony sounding past her split and bleeding lips, she slowly began to crawl across the dirt and mud. Clawing at the earth, she finally collapsed beside a body that seemed for some reason the most important thing on the earth. The sounds of battle and cries from the fighters had begun to die away as people slowed to a halt, turning to stare at her and the figure who's hand she now clutched. Her sight had become clouded, dark, she couldn't see their face. However a faint smile flickered over her lips as she whispered final words of fare well. With a wince, she stiffened a little, finally gasping before letting the darkness flood across her vision. For a moment she felt as if she were falling...
Jun's eyes snapped open and she gave an involuntary jerk. Panting raggedly, Jun reached up with a strained hand, clutching at her chest. She could almost feel the pain that she had dreamt of. That hadn't been what had woken her so violently. It had been the feeling of falling, something that always brought in a terrifying fear to her. With a soft groan, Jun let her hand move up to rest on her head. It was throbbing, an irritating head ache that had no reason for being there. It took a couple of seconds before she could sit up properly, letting her eyes open a little more from their strained squint. "I hate bad dreams..." She muttered quietly to herself, rubbing her head as she did. Now that Jun had fully woken, she was able to properly take in her surroundings. Well, she certainly wasn't in Kansas anymore...Well, in the national museum anymore. Jun hated when she woke up in the mornings because she sometimes couldn't remember where she was straight away. However, she was definately certain that she had not been here when she'd fallen asleep. The last thing she could remember was telling someone to back off as she touched the glass of an exhibit. Then an on-rushing darkness, then that dream. Looking irritable, she glanced around again, confusion flitting over her face. There were three figures lying on the ground as well, fast asleep. Two others had woken up, one seeming to fling around a deadly looking metal circle while the other taking photos. Oh great, if they came near here with that camera she would destroy the film in it. The guy looked vaugely familiar though, like a figure in a dream, or perhaps a story she'd once heard. Finally Jun's gaze flickered down to herself, and she felt her eyes widening in shock. Something strange had happened, so why couldn't she just remember it? Instead of the jeans, shirt, hoodie and converses she had been wearing, she was now wearing some sort of dress. It was admittedly quite pretty and seemed easy to move in. This was proven by her ability to, very shakily, clamber to her feet. Both arms flung out to help keep her balance and she wobbled before falling still. At this point, her hair came into view. This shouldn't happen, it wasn't that long. "Someone better explain what's happened." She growled angrily. Again her attention was caught by another strange object. The clinking chains were wrapped around her waist with a handle at one end and a sharp metal spike at the other. Gently stroking the metal, it seemed to almost soothe her. The chain whip was destinctly familiar, which unnerved her. |
After grasping the handle portion of the ring with both hands, Meiling then placed her right foot against the base of the trunk. The soft sound of some shuffling and metal clacking against another metal soon echoed into her ears; however, she chose to ignore it for the time being. As of now, her first priority was to release this stupid metal ring from the tree. Using whatever strength she had in her, she finally yanked the metal out... Even if she stumbled back a bit. Finally! I win! I win! she mentally cheered as she held a silent celebration.
However that was short lived when she felt someone taping her shoulder. Her back still faced the person and it took her a moment to comprehend what was going on. The girl then turned around, her weapon snuggled her close to her chest as she faced the person behind her. And the moment she saw his face, she couldn't help but stare; a somewhat dazed expression appearing on her young face but she brushed it off the slight moment it appeared. Her expression was then replaced with a troubled look before she shook her head. For a slight moment, she could have sworn that he looked a bit different but like a flash of light, he returned to well... This. Not like it was bad or anything! "Your guess is as good as mine," she answered, almost shyly but loud enough for him to hear, "Last thing I remember... I was inside, not out. And there wasn't a forest nearby either..." Well, so much for asking if he knew. But then she overheard someone stirring, causing her to lean to the side slightly to get a better look as to who finally decided to wake up. Oh, the really pretty girl who was wearing dark colors. However, she held this angry aura... Causing Meiling to somewhat sink a bit. The last thing she wanted was to end up in a fight she knew she couldn't end. Meiling slowly began to turn her attention away from both strangers... Making look as if she was a bit more interested of her tote bag than them. Well, who could blame her? She didn't really like talking. |
Once the girl actually turned back, he noticed not only her weapon, but also her dazed (if not a bit cute) expression. It was weird though when a flash of something familiar hit him. For a second, just a second he thought that he had been daydreaming as she looked different from before. What was that exactly? He didn't know, but it was just another question that would need to be answered. "Great. Guess that means we'll have to wait for some others to wake up and see if they know anything," he said, with a sigh.
Chang Ming heard another person's voice, signaling that they had woken up (and they were cranky too). He turned back to find the girl he had been so focused on earlier up and awake in the same garb that everyone else was in (surprise surprise). He was about to make a move to take a picture of her, but refrained when he saw how angry she looked. It seemed like she'd break his camera if he tried (and he had a bunch of fond memories in here that he didn't want to lose). She too had a weapon, but unlike his it looked more suited to range combat and taking care of multiple enemies than for a one-on-one match. Not that it made the weapon any less deadly. |
Meiling quietly watched as this stranger sighed and suggested that they wait for the others to wake up. She had this deep feeling that no one would know, but she decided to keep that pessimistic idea to herself. Who knows, someone could have known! She was praying for the latter, but she didn't want to keep her hopes up either. Taking this moment, she then decided to clip the ring back onto her waist, not wanting to have another incident like earlier. I'll have to find a wider area... She mentally sighed as she decided to lean against the same tree that wanted to eat the ring.
Shyly she stared at the back of this stranger's head. Her mind still occupied about this annoying sense of familiarity radiating from him. She wasn't one to get annoyed easily, but it was the fact that her chest began to hurt and she had this sudden urge to touch him. Why was her body and mind so... Attracted to a complete stranger? Ugh, I hope these people wake up soon...! she mentally pouted as she hugged herself and turned her head to the side. Not only did she began to get uncomfortable (mainly because a stranger was giving her all of these... Uncomfortable yet highly familiar feeling) but she was beginning to feel homesick. It's not everyday that you get knocked unconscious, dragged to the middle of some random forest and find yourself dressed in a different set of clothes than what you were wearing earlier. Sure, it was pretty... But who knows who could have done it! But... If she was actually dragged and dressed by some people, who did they manage to get her hair this long without her wake up? Hair extensions took hours to put in... With that in mind, she unclasped one of her hands and began to gently play with her hair. "This is actually real..." she muttered as she rose her other hand and gently pulled on it, "Oh God this this actually my real hair..." |
The earth started shaking, the walls started quaking. Her mind ran through different things, her heart raced and her sole felt as if it was being ripped from her body. Looking up at the sky, tears in the corners of her eyes, she took in a deep breath and then stood up slowly. The red sky mirrored the battlefield red stained everywhere. The girl knew what she had to do, her heart skipped beating as she looked over to her side. Leaning down she pulled out KitRae from a dead soldier’s chest. His own blood still squirting out as she walked away. Her mind set on doing just one last thing. One last thing for the man she loved. One last time she would see him, the next life might not be the same. |
Bai opened his eyes and started to say "Sorry if i startel....." the blue sky his eyes were looking at cut him off. What the hell was happening was running around in his head. The warm air crosed over his face and body. The wind caught the grass under his fingers. Bai had that feeling like he was missing somthing. He closed his eyes and saw a faint guy trying to reherse a fighting move. He couldnt make the guy out but he knew what move it was. It was the Three Points Palm stance. Bai only herd of this move and saw pictures of it because of his father. Why was this guy doing it. Bai opened his eyes fast as he noticed a bug on his chest. He felt the slime of it as it moved on his bare chest. He smacked it off and sat up. He looked down at were it was and his clothes were diffrent. He felt his hair it was a little longer then it was a few seconds ago. It went down to his shoulders. His clothes looked like the belonged on Bruce Lee. He looked at his new clothes and dicided it was to warm for the top. He took it off after he stood up. As he was tieing the top around his waist he noticed a Bo Staff on the floor. It was right next to the spot he just got up from. He picked it up it was black with a dragon on it. Bai liked how it looked and held it on his shoulder. Bai didnt care were he was he knew he had to be here. It was like his dreams but this felt so real he knew he had to stay calm. A few people were on the ground but what caught his eye was the girl with the Kit around her waist. He started to walk to were her and afew other people sat. "Hey guys have a nice nap." Bai said with a smile as he walked over to them. |
Tukiko looked at the people that were up and whom she was standing with. One girl had on a blue Hunfu dress and then other had on a dark purple one. She noticed that each had a weapon, the blue girl had these ring like weapons and the other girl had a whip-like-chain. Smiling softly, Kiko looked over at the boy that was also up. He had a camra in his hands and this made Kiko wonder on who he was exactly, he was very good looking as well. ’Now remember Kiko, no flirting until you find a way out of this place, oh keep the dress once you get out, we like it!.’ Kiko laughed at her own thoughts, however soon interrupted as someone form behind her spoke. |
"mmpharRGH!" Luke transformed what had been a wakeup groan into a inarticulate yell. Staring at the surroundings in front of them, he scrambled backwards in a what his coach would call a crab walk before trying to get up. Not looking where he was going, he almost rose into a stand before bumping into a tree. Or, on second feel, silk clad buttocks. Of a girl. Releasing his hold, Luke jumped back and straightened out in a stand. "...sorry about that, a little surprised to be here..." his words drifted off to silence as he took a glance at his clothes. Someone seemed to have knocked him out and put him on display in this ancient china-like town. He was wearing..a dress or some kind of a robe. Something light slapped his back and Luke reached out and felt a braid in between his shoulder blades. "Um, the costumes are epic but I should be getting some pay for the curators to put me on display," he muttered. Was this some kind of a movie setting? There were two strangely shaped swords at his belt which had hooks resembling those of a shepherd's crooks. He looked at the other people standing there with a face of apology. "Would you guys happen to know where I am...?"

It seemed that two other people began to stir. A really pretty girl, who's hanfu dress actually showed her stomach, but it was still rather beautiful. And her hair as well, super cute... She couldn't help but become a small bit jealous, but she still found the getup she was wearing rather pretty. For some reason, it felt like she and the other two girls were royalty in their own way. And next another male had woken up. Although, he didn't really look like he was of Chinese descent... But he was here anyway.
Well, this girl had the decency to tell everyone her name... Even if she seemed rather sultry. But regardless of that, she was probably going to like her. Letting go of her hair, Meiling awkwardly bowed a bit before giving her a small smile. Slowly, she began to play with her hands as she gained the courage to speak, "Uh... Hi... I'm Zhou Meiling," the girl greeted, flashing everyone a small smile before turning away slightly. However, out of nowhere, she heard someone practically roar, causing her to jump from the sudden noise. But before Meiling could do anything, she suddenly felt a bump of someone touching her rear end. As a reflex, the girl couldn't help but yelp and squeal loudly before she flung herself forward and held onto the nearest possible thing she could find. Which just so happened to be the boy with the camera. And the moment she felt her arms wrap around his upper frame... A memory of some sort soon erupted within her thoughts. For just a few seconds, she found herself in the same situation before; only this time... In her memory, she was super happy, a grateful smile was one her lips and it felt intentional. But then she returned to her reality and ripped herself from the camera boy's backside. As much as her body wanted to return to that moment, Meiling had to restrain herself from doing that again. Even though she knew he was a stranger, the rest of her... Acted like she had once knew him and cared for him deeply. The thought of that caused her to blush heavily, "I... Apologize!" she said quickly before she turned around and couldn't help but glare at the person behind her. The moment she did so, she couldn't help but blink a few times... Now that she thought about it, all five of these people felt familiar to her. It was like... She had been with these people once before... But once again, she brushed it off, she was still angry at the male who had bumped into her. Even if he apologized soon afterward. He dressed rather nicely though, like he was probably part of some nobility, unlike the other two. "We're just as lost as you are," she told the braided hair youth, who she was now going to label as a pervert... A decent pervert at least... Though, that had an awkward ring to it, "None of us really know how we ended up here." |
Bai looked at the boy that yelled and spooked out. Bai started to laugh as he hit the girl. "Sorry didnt mean to laugh." Bai then turned his eyes apon the crazy beautiful girl. "Um...Miss i have nothing to do with this. Just like all you i was at the exibit. The only reason why in not wigging out is i had a dream like this once. Only you guys wernt in it and i had on less clothing." Bai started to laugh as he sat down. He put his Bo Staff between his legs while he had his right knee up. He felt the soft wet grass with one hand. It reminded him of home. He started to think about what his family was doing. His dad would be out back training with the boys. Mom will be tending to her garden. O how he wanted to be home at this momment. Bai started to look at the other people around him. Some were in goofy outfits others looked cool. What realy caught his eye was the girl with the Kit even tough she yelled at him he couldnt be mad at her. "Hey you wana go on a date?" Bai put on a smile when he asked her out. He looked at his chest and made his pecks jump up and down. He tryed to hold back a laugh but it came out anyways. He started to think about what they must be feeling maybe if he jokes about it it will lighten the mood. He knew when he looked around they went in Kansas anymore so to speek. "O almost forgot my name is Yaozu Minsheng but you all can call me Bai." |
