Some People Think They've Heard Enough of Silly Love Songs

Clearly, we haven't!!!

Let's share some sappy, but really nice and unique and fun love songs!

I'll start first!

hummy 02-11-2017 08:04 PM

*hums along*

Kory 02-11-2017 08:13 PM

Oh, I forgot to mention in the first post that this is definitely a musical hangout...

Oh well. I hope people know they can always chat in my threads unless I state otherwise. :P

hummy 02-11-2017 08:36 PM

I chat, therefore I am

star2000fire 02-11-2017 11:25 PM

I chat as well there for I am, star's also trying to think of a panties avi to make.. 'frown' and coming up blank.

Tom Hiddleston 02-11-2017 11:53 PM

I have a song to share! :)

Nephila 02-11-2017 11:55 PM

I've been feeling 90s Alternative music lately.

hummy 02-12-2017 02:10 AM

hmm, thinks of a love song

Damia Flagg 02-12-2017 12:26 PM

Good morning thread.
I can't really think of a sappy love song at the moment.

This is all I can think of at the moment.

I can never get the youtube stuff to work. [cry]

hummy 02-12-2017 02:04 PM

I forgot to find one

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 05:56 PM

Aw, I'm such a sap for love songs! Thank you for this thread.

The one I've been getting gushy over lately:

Kory 02-12-2017 06:00 PM

I am loving these songs!

:)

I have an indie song:

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 06:05 PM

Oh I love Kimya Dawson! Now that you mentioned indie, I gotta post another song. I've been loving this whole album lately, and I actually even sent this song to my partner the other day:

edit: I guess Kate Nash is technically indie too, lmao...

onsenmark 02-12-2017 06:07 PM

And now, in the interest of "equal time" -- the J. Geils Band:

(sorry, but it was the only thing I could think of off the top of my head. [sweat])

(it could be worse; Rick Astley, anyone?)

I CANT

I LOVE THE WEEPIES I HAVE THAT ALBUM!

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 06:12 PM

OMG DO YOU REALLY?? Like, on vinyl or CD? Either way OMG!! It's such a freakin' good albummmm. What's your favorite song on it? Mine's either Gotta Have You or World Spins Madly On.

Kory 02-12-2017 06:21 PM

ARE WE TWINS?!?!?!

I have it on CD, bought it at Half Price Bookstore.
Those two are definitely my favorite songs too. I also loved Painting By Chagall.

hummy 02-12-2017 06:31 PM

kindred spirits

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 06:49 PM

Haha, what hummy said! We totally must be.
Painting by Chgall was really good too! Those lyrics... [heart eyes emoji]
Ahh, it's so cool that you found it there, I love half price or thrift bookstores, you can find some really great stuff there.

hummy 02-12-2017 06:51 PM

don'tcha just love when you click with someone so easily?

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 06:54 PM

I do! Music is definitely one of the biggest things I click with people over. That's why I feel like this thread was such a good idea on Ava's part; music brings people together. :')

hummy 02-12-2017 06:55 PM

totally agree. it is usually hard to not bond over music

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 06:59 PM

Right?? Especially when you've got an ~eclectic~ taste in music like I have. You could play me almost anything and I'd at least appreciate it at face value. I can't jam out to just anything, but I love knowing what kinds of music other people are into and I'm willing to give basically anything a chance, as long as it's music.

Audiobooks and podcasts, on the other hand... not so much. I like Welcome to Night Vale, and that's about it. I've got the attention span of a kitten.

hummy 02-12-2017 07:21 PM

I spit my tea with the 'attention span of a kitten' comment

ghostPastry 02-12-2017 07:34 PM

Ahaha, yess that's exactly the reaction I was going for! My partner's roommate has a kitten and let me tell you, she has been zipping around the house for the past 6 months at least... sometimes she'll nap, but even then she only naps for like 5 minutes at a time.
