Vanora 05-20-2012 04:57 PM

Hello and welcome to my Spring Garden!
I am your hostess, Rozalyne!

After much debate within myself, I decided to open up a threadie.
This is my first thread in an Event, so I hope it goes well!

I might set up some games or hand out freebies, depending how many people I can squish in here. Ahaha.
Anywho, I hope you all enjoy your stay in my garden that I've kept nice and clean for my lovely Guests!

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:12 PM

Hey, I was the first post!
Yay!

Oh wow... are those azaleas?

We've done the azalea trail in Houston before.
It's just beautiful!

Vanora 05-20-2012 05:12 PM

Thank you, llonka!
I might open up a thread in Nations after the Event ends.
I'm still a little shy about it though.

Jean;
Yesh!
You were my first poster! ^^
Hmm, I'm not sure if those are Azaleas, I found image on Google. Dx

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:17 PM

I'm pretty sure their either azaleas or rhododendrons.

I'm always happy to have places to post, Roz!

llonka 05-20-2012 05:20 PM

oooh those are so pretty... i should try them. my dad says they don't do well here though.

go for it rozzy! i'll always stop by! if don't ping me. haha

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:24 PM

You need an acid soil for azaleas.

Here in Austin, with all the limestone, we're a basic soil, so they don't do well.
Houston has a more acidic soil.

We had them in North Carolina.

llonka 05-20-2012 05:26 PM

hmm i'm not sure what kind of soil we have. prolly not the right kind.

hummy 05-20-2012 05:28 PM

i love azelaea's.

llonka 05-20-2012 05:31 PM

i like rose bushes! i can't wait for my blue one to start blooming.

---------- Post added 05-20-2012 at 12:36 PM ----------

well i'm gonna get off for a little while, be back soon.

good luck with your thread rozzy!

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:39 PM

See you, llonka!

Vanora 05-20-2012 05:39 PM

Ah, Sorry I disappeared!
I was called down to breakfast!

I think my mom is going to start planting flowers soon!
Her and my dad were in the back cleaning out weeds and trimming some trees.
It's about that time of year.

Hiii hummy:!

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:41 PM

We used to plant flowers around the house, but we gave up.

Austin is in continual water restriction, and they just die.

Vanora 05-20-2012 05:44 PM

Oh wow, really?
We were under water constriction for a while, but it got lifted.
They wanted us to only water our yards at night and for a small period of time.

hiya, Rozie!

Vanora 05-20-2012 05:54 PM

How's hummy today?

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 05:55 PM

They let us water our lawns only one night a week, for only a few hours at night.

Vanora 05-20-2012 05:59 PM

Yeah, sounds pretty much like how it was here.
It's ridiculous really.

When it rained here for almost two days straight, I was excited and not at the same time.
Loud thunderstorms frightening me. :gonk:

the page keeps stretching.
O.o
i don't know why.....

Jeannesha 05-20-2012 06:10 PM

I had that problem once.

It was because somebody had put in a really long url.
Once they deleted it, then my page went back to normal.
