Feeling confused about how the Valentine's Event 2011 event works? Read on and hopefully your questions will all be answered! If not, please feel free to ask questions below!

But be warned - off-topic chatter will be removed from this thread, and deleted outright (meaning you lose gold for the post) if it's spammy enough!

Frequently Asked Questions

♥ When will the event end?
Valentine's 2011 will end sometime on the evening of Monday, February 21st.


♥ How do I participate in the event?/How do I earn event currency?
There is no event currency for this event. This is a very 'low-tech' event this year!

You participate in the event by posting in the event forum and hopefully entering the various contests or games that are stickied to the top of the event forum!


♥ Are there event rares? How do I earn them?
Yes - there are four event rares. The EI STORE contains just the event rares. You may purchase them directly for gold, but you can win one for free by participating in any of the stickied staff contests and games.

Please note that after the event, the rares will be removed from the shops and discontinued, just like regular event rares.


♥ I don't have enough time to participate in games/contests during the event and I don't have enough gold to buy them - that's not fair!
Sorry you feel that way! We did our best to figure out some non-coding way to distribute the rare items fairly, and this was the best solution we could come up with.


♥ Are there event commons?
Yes! Just head down to the Special Event Store. Not all of the commons will be available right away. This post will be edited when all of the event commons have been added to the shop. All in. :)

Please note that these items will be available after the event ends. However, they will be moved to different shops (for example - the Heart Pillbox Hats will be in Headworks) after the event for twice their current price (for example - if something cost 50 gold now, it would be 100 gold after the event ends).

So, is the lack of EI store and closed Special Event Store just one of those "It's the beginning of the event, we'll get to it in a second" things?

I hope so, I'm lurking in the store, and all OMGOMGOMOMG COMMONS?!?!?
I saved up 6k for this, I'm unreasonably excited. xD

It's more like "while we're finishing tying up loose ends, we might as well open the forum so folks can at least get their threads started while they wait" -- the items should be available momentarily. :yes:

What is the difference between an EI store and a Special event store?? Where can I find the EI store?

The EI Store isn't yet open while we get stock together. Just enjoy setting up your event threads for now. ;) I'm sure you'll know when everything is good to go by the Announcement posted in the Announcements forum. ;) (Or when you see people sporting new items.)

I have a question about the Love Connection Thread, can you submit written entries as a Valentine? Like a poem?

Why be scared, you look as if you'll have the funds >.< Plus there's always games to replenish for more stuff XD

Because when there was one of the larger events out last year, I ended up spending all my money & still couldn't get everything I wanted? I don't have time to do gaming here anymore, either.

You will need to ask ToriKat or HamletSpamlet that, as they are the hosts and they'll be the ones to decide - I'd suggest posting this question in the Love Connection thread so they're sure to see it. :)

well as long you get the ei's your not at a total loss, and the exchange is good to check, (I've gotten to excited and bought some twice XD) Gaming is a bit time consuming, I devote half an hour to tertis generally o.O
