A Second Life http://c1710402.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...6pupil_art.jpg After a few thousands of years pasted of living on the earth, and continuing to pollute it with gasoline not to mention with all the littering people always did. Earth had finally become a planet that no human could live on anymore. Thankfully by this time, the human race had learned enough knowledge to go into outer space and start to colonize other planets. Doing so, several ships were built; each one leading to a different planet in the solar system. Thousands among millions of humans had each went to a separate ship. Some had went onto a ship that lead to Mars, others went to mercury, some even went to Pluto. Once every human had gotten onto their own ships and went to the planet; it hadn't taken that long for them all to get used to the conditions there, due to the fact that they had made large domes that held oxygen for people in live in. The domes had pretty much everything humans would need, and they were all humongous. Since there werent really any animals on these planets besides the ones that people took with them as pets; the human race had to begin planting their foods and growing it. It had seemed that each and every person was getting along just fine with the fact that they were all separated like this. Though, soon enough; everyone began to have strange mutations giving them strange powers as well. After the scientists had found out these 'mutations'; people had immediately begun to create a school for the people who had these powers on Neptune. It had been most of the teens that had received the strange powers from the planets though. So most of the adults didn't really care for the powers anyway, but there was one problem. Most of the older adults had begun to despise their own children for having these powers; so they had called any and all who had the strange powers 'freaks' and many other names. Figuring this out, some of the teens never really went back to their parents as they either went to the abandoned earth to live away from the pain of being called names and even sometimes hit. Other teens were getting rather angry with this; so much, that they had even start a war with the 'normal' human race. The government had actually accepted the proposal for war even if it were from children and teens. Knowing how they had their strange powers, people were getting rather afraid that they wanted the children and teens dead. Some teens even were afraid of the war so much that they went back to the adults and got their powers removed by using science. Those teens, were than forced to face their other friends that had powers and fight in the war as well; even if they didn't want to. |

Scarlett sat beside a huge crater. It was starting to acid rain again. This time it wasn't her fault. She missed the clear rain on earth, she remembered she used to sit by the window until the rain ended and pull on her boots to play in the puddles. Then the maids would come out and scold her for getting yet another dress dirty. Slowly she got up and opened her umbrella, the rain didn't affect her like it affected the others, for normal people the high amounts of acid in the rain was too much, they would all scour inside. She had none of those problems, probably the only thing useful to this power was the immunity to rain.
" Hem Hem" she said as the cleared her throat signaling to a maid. she bowed then put a cloak over her shoulders and escorted her inside. |
Trayyx was just getting off work he was still new to this hole power thing and living on a planet covered in rock but he wouldn't let it bother him he still needs to care for his family so Trayyx Thought that if he could use his power for the grater good that he would be able to show people that hes not that bad and maybe they would leave the people on earth alone but he new this would be a long shot so he decided to find a place to train but were would Trayyx go were no one would find him

Peering past earth from her telescope to the next planet Mars, Scarlett asked herself, I wonder what its like there, must be nice and dry, my Father once told me there used to be life there long long ago. Until the Ice cap Froze and no more water was available.. She must have said this out loud because a nearby maid replied,Yes m'am would you like to visit now?. Thinking for a moment Scarlett looked at her and said, Sure why not?
A few moments later she found herself in a planted like Venus except completely covered in red dust. The air smelt kinda rusty as she called for her handkerchief. Walking along a path for a few moments, Scarlett spotted a teen about 16 years old with spiky black hair and a pointed face. Excuse me, where can I find a good spa and resort here? I need to get off my feet for a moment, T doubt shes strong enough to carry me. she said to him as she glared at her lady in waiting, ignoring her shamed I'm Sorry |
Katashi during this time was actually no longer on the planet he was sent to; Mercury. Rather he was sitting on top of the school's rooftop, the school itself wasn't exactly standing on solid ground due to the fact that the entire planet itself was a planet made of plain gas. The only reason this school has been able to be built here along with the other domes was thanks to the intense wind speed in the area; the amount of wind around is strong enough to hold up anything in the air, and even if it were not able to be held in the air; there were other domes deeper down into the actual planet itself. Further down the planet toward the core was an actual solid surface where one could walk, but only those who have been mutated like the teens would be able to walk on the actual surface of Neptune. The adults wouldn't really be able to do that without instantly dying as they approach the core. Katashi wasn't exactly blown away from the intense wind while sitting on the rooftop of the school; he always came here everyday as though he were going to school back on his and everyone's home planet. Earth. Sitting there and staring off into the foggy-like distance of the planet, Katashi could see multiple dome's with all their lights on. Just seeing that, it made Katashi think that the war that was proposed toward the government had never even happened as everything was just fine the way it was.

It was cool, as it always was, underneath the water. The blue strands of hair flowed around her, and she couldnt help but smile softly at how lovely and peaceful everything was under here. Ever since she gained this ability - she'd been nothing but happy as one could be, even if the beginning was rocky but now - it was pleasant. Except the fact that she was driven out of her home and the fact that her brother was gone... that wasn't a positive outcome but under the water, everything was acceptable to her.
Smiling even more, she sat down and let her tail curl around her, the transparent, natural additives to her tail flowing around her still. She wasnt like other mermaids - she didnt have a shell bra or a tail that curled to her lower stomach anything like that. No - not in the least. The scales that were on her tail curled up around her body, covering her stomach and chest where it then curled over one shoulder and scaled down to underneath her shoulder blades, covering her skin once more. Her hair was long, thick, and blue - but she did dive into the tradition of mermaids and have shells in her hair, and a shell bracelet around one wrist - which she made herself. But she supposed she should get out of the water for a little bit and go for a walk, she did need a little sunlight anyway. Shrugging to herself, she swam to the surface to climb out of the water, pulling herself onto the stone that outlined the water, which used to be a sidewalk. Sitting under the sun, she let herself dry off and the more the water went away, the more her legs showed through until -finally- two legs came from one tail. Reell smiled and stood up, grabbing the dress she kept near the water and put it on, beginning her walk through the destroyed land. |
Trayyx saw a girl asking around if there was a spa he Trayyx smirks and starts to walk over to the girl you look lost there are now spas on mars where are you frum he turns his head to see a maid now he new she wasn't frum here what do you want

"Yes, Dusk," she replied, climbing into her mecha. "I have enough fresh diapers and wipes for the journey. And clothes too. I just want to get going. We'll need time to set up shop on Earth, after all." Then she threw the duffel bag into the cockpit before clambering in herself. The pink and gold jumpsuit she wore was meant to protect her in case someone got lucky and broke through the mecha with a bullet. It was made of carbon nanofiber, after all.
Once inside the mecha, she pulled the matching helmet over her head before closing the cockpit. Guided by her technopathy, her mecha started up, the engine whirring to life. The system she had developed was ingenious. It used the natural energy given of by decaying baryonic particles for fuel, basically giving it an infinite power source. As she powered it up, the particles were emitted by the baryonic drive, giving off a pink and gold aura. "I was just making sure, Dawn," Dusk answered, chuckling good-naturedly at his twin. Then he threw his bag into the cockpit before clambering in after it. An incident when they were here with the adults had left her permanently incontinent. Not that he minded. She was still his twin, after all. He just wished that she hadn't made the jumpsuits. They weren't very cool, despite the navy and black colors. The helmets were though. Unlike his sister, he had to start up his mecha manually, which took a bit longer. After a few pressed buttons and flipped switches, though, his own baryon drive was powered up, spewing out an aura of navy and black particles. Checking the power readings, he directed his telepathy towards his sister. "All systems go," he announced. "You ready?" "Affirmative," Dawn replied. "Prepare for launch." Almost simultaneously, they plunged the lever forward to send the mechas out of the bay, giggling to each other about the oddity of the situation. They seemed to synchronize a lot of their movements. Probably part of the twin-bond thing. "Increase particle density by one hundred percent," she said, initiating the same process in her mecha. Suddenly, both of them were covered in an almost opaque layer of particles. Again at the same time, they accelerated to maximum speed, breaking the sound barrier several times before they broke free from the tiny atmosphere of the dwarf planet. They would be on Earth in a little under twelve hours. |
Makina walked the Earth as if it was still alive. There was no water, no trees or animals anymore. There was nothing but dessert. She was ok with thought, Makina was already part dead and she was ok with the earth being dead, even thought she was missing her left eye and had tattered & torn clothes that made her look exotic. The Dead Earth was able to speak to Makina better than anyone else. Makina has been dead since she died from dehydration and became a shikabane hime. She loved being a shikabne, with this she didn't have to worry about everyday life and learned to get use to the smell of a dead person. "I do enjoy walking but I often wonder if you enjoy being walked on Mother Earth." she said in a soft and gently voice, a soft and slow moan escaped the cracks within the earth as if spoke to Makina. Makina considered the Earth her mother since her parents were dead and she was alone. "I wish I could end your pain Mother, it's not fiar how humans mistreated you. I would take care of you if I could." she said softly using her powers to summon a dad flower and tried her best to bring it back to life. After finally bringing it back to life, Makina placed the flower in one of the cracks in the earth and vanished, the Earth moaned and summoned dead trees to hug Makina happily, "You're welcome Mother. I love you." she said softly and giggled softly to herself as she sat down under the tree in exhaustion.

She glared at the boy, who was he to smirk at her? Scarlett, daughter of the wealthy lord whose name brought both fear and admiration. " Venus thank you very much." she said to him coldy before looking him over and stated." I wish for a place to stay, take me there." Doubting whether he had a place worthy of her. Mars was certainly a strange planet. Taking out her umbrella she waved it in a circular motion sending puffs of red dust flying in the air. At least the Air didn't smell like rust anymore. Ah that's better Smiling at the looks of confusion from the people around her, she looked at the boy indicating for him to lead the way.

Emerging from her nap, Dawn blushed slightly at Dusk's teasing. So what if she had fallen asleep? Sending back an equally joking retort, she grinned when he shut his mouth. He would hate for others to know he was terrified of spiders. She herself had a phobia of the dark, and needles, but that was beside the point.
"Increase particle density by one hundred percent," she said into the mike, mentally ordering her mecha to do so. The particles became almost impossible to see past, obscuring her vision of the upcoming planet. What she did see was blue, oh so blue. Ceres was simply bland by comparison. The blue must be the water, though the landmasses were strikingly brown and dead-looking. Suddenly, Dawn felt a force begin pushing her down, and it terrified her at first. Along the telepathic bond they shared, she could feel the same terror in Dusk, until they realized that it was just gravity. Laughing over their stupidity, they directed some power to their weapons. There was no telling whether or not something would be waiting to tear them up. Once he got the okay from his twin, Dusk cut back on the particle density, allowing him to see clearly as they streaked across the sky. With the ease acquired by months of practice, he flipped the sword around on the left fist of the mecha. The red blade that appeared was quite large, but it was all baryonic particles, though it could slice through most metals. As they neared the ground, he cut off the propulsion system, dropping to the ground, and sliding the last few feet. His telepathy immediately detected an individual in the vicinity, and he set the scanners to full alert, fully cautious with his little sister landing nearby. Granted, he was only the elder by twenty minutes, but still, he was the elder. Almost immediately, his mecha picked up the... girl on the scanner. She didn't seem to be in good shape though. All grey and lifeless-y. It wasn't the prettiest sight. But she could possibly give him directions, and so, he opened the cockpit, stepping out before shouting. "Say! Miss! Do you happen to know where we are?" |
As Katashi sat there on the rooftop of the school building after escaping from the human teachers who were telling him to get back to class. He just continued to sit there, hearing the teacher's voices from inside calling out to Katashi on wondering where he had gone. Many of them were also seeming to curse at him saying that this war against the inhuman teenagers was right and they were hoping that the teenagers would soon be all killed. Just hearing that caused him to bite the bottom of his lip as he thought about the whole fact that there was a war going on between the teenagers and the whole entire human race. It made him feel rather uncomfortable as he placed a single hand onto his chest; even though the teens including himself may had become different with powers also changing their race and all that. That didn't mean that their memories were wiped away, deep down they were all still human and they knew what it felt like to be human. So just thinking through that and knowing that once the fighting all started, many humans would be dying all because the adults can't approve of the sons and daughters of their own were now different than them. Continuing to think it through, Katashi couldn't hold down his sadness any longer as he jumped off the school rooftop as he fell through the gassy air of Neptune. All of a sudden, while he fell through the groundless planet; his own body had just exploded out of nowhere only to form itself into the phoenix as he flew right back up into the air until he had left the atmosphere of Neptune and was flying through space itself. All the while he flew through the endless space, the last thing he was expecting was to see two strange looking machines go bolting through the air right pass him. Noticing how they both were heading toward the now dead earth kind of confused him. What could be gained from going back there? So with curiosity, he followed them at his own speed just so that he wouldn't end up losing sight of them. Soon enough as he also reached the dead earth, Katashi landed himself on one of the ruined skyscrapers with his firey talons gripping onto the rails from about a good 3 to 5 miles. Sitting there and watching the two large machines also land he tilted his own head to see how they were standing in front of what looked like a person on the ground.

Makina was resting as dead Mother Earth was 'sleeping', she enjoyed the sun on her dead gray pale skin. The stitches holding her face together shifted and as she moved to the side and stretched. "If only all days could be like this." she said softly as she heard a sudden explosion in the atmosphere and loud thuds. Makina growled through her dead lips as she felt the vibrates but pretended to remain asleep, using her only eye she seen that they were somkind of mechic, 'What are the other planets coming to? Making such mockery that can easily be manipulated.' she thought to herself closing her eye again and looked at the dead tree Mother Earth formed. Suddenly she heard someone coming to her and spoke to her by asking where they were. A creepy chuckle escaped her dead chapped lips as she stood up like a healthy person and stared at the boy with her only eye and the empty eye socket that appeared to reveal what was left of a 'human' brain and possibly a cord that would have held the left eye. She decided to use her normal voice but she was ready to defend hersaelf from these travelers, "Ah lost travelers. I thought you could tell from the sky that you now call home. If you don't know what it planet is then you will be enlightened. This is Earth. The first and last earth the humans destroyed." Makina growled as Mother Earth started to wake and moans softly to Makina, telling her to please be nice. "As you wish mother." she said softly and crossed her arms angry still at the human race for killing Mother Earth.

"I think you misunderstood me, ma'am," Dusk called out in response. "I meant where we are on Earth. What continent is this?" A large fiery bird was currently perched on one of the buildings from the faraway city. At least, he thought it was a large fiery bird. It was rather hard to tell at this distance. One thing for certain was that it had a sentient mind, much like a human.
Opening her own cockpit, Dawn stepped out into the light as well, pulling off her helmet. Even from the distance between the girl and them, it was obvious that the two pilots were twins. They looked exactly alike, except for the clothing. "The satellites are off-line," Dawn said, frowning as she looked towads the sky. "But whether it's because they're old, or because they've been turned off I don't know." Pulling a water bottle from her bag, she took a large gulp before turning to look at the city. A city would have factories, and factories meant metal. "Do you..." "...want to check out the city? Sure," Dusk finished, before turning to the girl once more. "Do you want to come with us?" If she didn't, he wouldn't push it, but she seemed in real bad shape to be by herself. |
Makina glared at the girl that came out the other mech as the boy spoke to her again, saying that she misunderstood him. Crossing her arms, Makina looked around and saw what they were looking at, the city or what was left of it. "You're in America if that answers your question, but since you plan to go there I have no other choice but to go with you. The city is decaying slowly and the dust storms are horrible here." she said turning around and started to walking and started to see something on a skyscraper ruined building, 'More humans.' she thought to herself and looked at the boy and girl, "I wouldn't use your machines either. They won't work here...anymore. What are your names anyway?" she asked narrowing her eyes a little seeing Mother suck the tree back in the ground and summoned a skeleton horse for Makina to ride. Makina intended to protect dead Mother Earth, 'she' was the only thing to a family she had left since Makina's actual parents were dead. She stared at the living siblings as her only good eye looked at them.
|
"What do you mean they won't work?" Dawn asked, controlling the mecha's arm with her technopathy. "They're just fine. This place is almost as desolate as Ceres, and they worked well up there."
Then she and her brother stepped back into their cockpits, engaging their baryonic drive when they were situated. The mechas powered up like always, but they only committed enough power to flight to make them float over the ground. No sense in using the legs to walk when it wasn't necessary. "America, huh?" Dusk repeated, looking over to his sister with the mecha. "America was industrialized, right? That means metal and technology. This should be a bountiful harvest." His sister gave a mumbled yeah, but she seemed rather down. He would have to make sure she was okay when they stopped. While the skeleton horse the girl was riding would've been shocking, Dusk slapped it down to to being a fellow mutant, and so left it alone. Their arrival at the city was just on time, with the giant red bird still perched on top of the building. "Hello there?" he called out, using the mecha's speakers. Maybe the bird was a mutant too? |
Continuing to sit on top of the large skyscraper with his talons holding onto the top railings of the building so that he wouldn't end up falling off the large building; Katashi watched as the two large machines ended up causing what seemed like two humans stepping out of it to speak with the figure down below them. Tilting his head lightly and squinting his eyes closely toward the small figure on the ground, it took a lot of concentration but soon enough he was able to make out that the figure was a female on the floor, although taking a good look at her he could tell that the female wasn't exactly human. What exactly she was made a complete mystery for Katashi to figure out as he could listen lightly to some of the conversation going on between the three. Hearing that they were in America kind of gave a little shock to Katashi as he looked around the area once more to see the large wasteland of nothingness. Truly, this place had changed alot since he was last here when he was still a normal human being rather than the phoenix he was now. Giving a small sigh and shaking his head before turning his eyes toward the three once more seeing how the young female had created what looked like a skeleton horse. With his eyes widened up when he saw the horse, Katashi had nearly jumped in his spot when he had heard the speakers of what sounded like a male calling out to him. Giving a small screech toward the sound of the voice calling out to him; he simply jumped right off the skyscraper building. Flying his way right over toward the three, by the time he had reached them; he folded his own wings together keeping himself in the form of the phoenix that stood about a good 20 to 25feet. "Who're you?" he asked through his voice even though his words sounded almost as though there was a bit of screeching in them.
|
Makina gallped away as the two followed her to the city as looked at the large bird on the building. She glared more angrily and tried to hold in as much as she could. The twins were in their mechs and she galloped only closer to the skyscraper as the Phoenix landed on the ground and asked who they were. "My name is Makina. The Shikabane of Dead Earth. Who are you?" she asked getting off the horse and was soon sucked into the ground by Mother Earth after Makin was done with it. Looking at everyone with her good eye, shebecame more angrily how they has just come to the Earth and get what they need them just leave. Growling lightly, Makina held in her angry and crossed her arms to stay calm.

Scarlett sighed, Mars had been a waste of time going there. She had been so looking forward to seeing Earth up close. She missed sitting under a tree on a hot summer day sipping lemonade which her servants had prepared moments ago. Lifting up her skirt as she walked into a shallow pond. All that was gone now. Her family had owned the last trees on Earth until they came to Venus. They might still be there she though.
She suddenly had an urge to go to Earth. Not for a long period of time, just a quick walk wouldn't hurt anybody. She had enough power to make clean air there without tiring herself out. She would sneak out on her own before anyone could notice. Moments later, she floated across the planets towards Earth. Supported by her umbrella she almost forgot her reasoning staring at the stars. Things that could not be seen on Venus because of the Clouds or Earth because of the smog. Shaking herself she drifted off towards Earth smiling as she landed on a building. A bird-man was seen perched on top of a building, a few people below and a thing that didn't seem human screeching at the man. Fools she said to herself as she stared at the buildings. It wasn't as pretty as she imagined it to be but it was better than nothing. |
