This is because of our gold-earning system.

On Menewsha gold is earnt per character, so adding random images or decoration to all your posts would unfairly increase your gold earning. It is seen as image spam.

Also, a great many of our users do not like flobs/decoration in posts as it can make the post itself hard to read. There's also the issue of them slowing down page-loading times and creating server lag.

Post decoration is only for the start up posts of a permanent thread, e.g. a hangout in the Hangouts forum, an art shop, or a thread in the Exchange, Charity, Quests or Contests and Giveaways forum.
