Introduction

It was a cold night in September when it happened. We were all sitting about cramming for our first tests of the semester. Groans and little sounds of shuffling papers could be heard as everyone flipped from page to page of their massive texts trying to figure out exactly how they were supposed to remember one page of the material, let alone 200. It was going to be a long semester—if only we'd known the half of it.

The first we knew that something strange was going on was when we saw the flashing lights just outside the windows. Blue. Green. Purple. All of them unearthly. Yet, at the time, we all imagined it was just a group of frat boys having a little too much fun. Being study-o-holics, we simply ignored it.

That is, until we heard the sound. It rent the air like a sharp nail through silk, and made the hairs on our necks stand straight on end.

"OMG, WTF IS THAT?!?!?!?!" screamed a girl sitting in a wing-backed chair by the encyclopedias.

Before anyone had time to reply, the library's double doors burst open and two massive alien figures exclaimed loudly: "WE HAVE COME TO PLAY CHESS AMONGST THE BOOKS WHILE WE WAIT FOR OUR STARDUST TO BE COLLECTED, PEONS. MOVE OR BE EATEN!"

And that is how we ended up in a corner watching aliens play chess for a week.

I can't believe I didn't know an event was happening. XD I guess I'll have to get on more.

It was kinda a surprise thing, I guess. Unless I just wasn't watching the announcements.

With all the bugs Mene's been having, I haven't been paying much attention.

I didn't realise it till someone mentioned it in another thread O_o

I noticed the little event currency thing at the top and was like wha? O.o lol.

I saw earlier today that one was going to launch, but I didn't think it was going to be today. Then I saw the currency like you, Saro, and was like: ooohkay, then.

I am a little lost, admittedly, on how to design this thread, though. Kinda have an idea.

Ah, you should at least use your event currency to buy stuff to sell for gold. :) I do that.

Depends on how much I'm around. Once the school week starts up -I tend to hide from people, and don't chat much. XD
I should be doing some of my homework that's due tomorrow right now, but I don't wanna. xD

We should all be doing something more productive, I think. [lol] Don't worry, though, most of us are on way less during the week.

It's alright, just peddling around at the moment trying to push myself to do something useful x3.

I really want to make a few things for the Celestial Cuisine, I just don't know what to make! What's a pretty looking dish? It'll give me something to do tomorrow night. One thing I might make is sushi, that always looks nice.

I did most of my work due for this week. Just have a few things to do left and then have a project due next month that I need to get my group working on.

I only have my class tomorrow, so I have nothing due this week (thank you Yom Kippur). So, I'll have time to post this week.

@nonsense: Hmm. Desserts are usually pretty. Or perhaps a pristine looking lasagna...

@Ser: Yay, group project. [sarcasm] I wish you luck with that.

I need to sign up for research studies.

Yeah, we've been in a group for the past couple weeks, we havent started it yet. ^^" But, it's not too challenging. I just have to e-mail the girls and start a thread on our group discussion board ^^
