I'm good! How about you? I'm listening to BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs while I chat. Ehehehe

hummy 04-23-2013 05:59 AM

hiya, Seki

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:00 AM

I should watch more BBC than just Doctor Who >>

I actually just finished up writing a paper for one of my classes and had some extra time to kill before I force myself back into study mode. 9 more days and the semester will be over!

Hey hummy! I saw your post count over in Maria's thread. You're crazypants you know that right? <3

MaxxR 04-23-2013 06:11 AM

I have to wonder how much of BBC's dinosaur shows are based off of solid archaeological facts, and how much is fanciful theories. It's fascinating, but I don't believe half of it, ahaha. The dino-graphics are amazing though.

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:13 AM

hi nova youre outfit looks pretty :o

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:14 AM

Isn't that the truth though. So much stuff based on fiction. And yet I continue to fall prey to such things.

Speaking of prey and dinosaurs, I wonder if Jurassic Park is still in theatres. I meant to go see it while it was still in 3D, because let me tell you something. If you're going to watch a movie in 3D, it's Jurassic Park!

Thanks Bot! It was my entry for bloodstainedwing's avatar contest!

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:20 AM

nice it looks cool i noticed it earlier in another thread.

oh they released Jurassic park in 3D?o.o (didnt know that)

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:22 AM

Yeah, it's been out for a while now. I think I might have missed it :(

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:25 AM

oh :( that would suck. since 3d things better in theaters. though not bad on tv >->..

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:29 AM

I don't even particularly like 3D movies. I just think that Jurassic Park (which is awesome) would be awesome in 3D!

Chexala 04-23-2013 06:31 AM

Jurassic Park 3D is still playing in my town, which isn't the biggest city ever, so it might still be playing where you are, Seiki. I'm planning to go see it tomorrow night. (:

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:31 AM

yeah it probably would be and same im not a big fan of 3D looks better normal most movies >->

@Chexala the colors of your outfit look lovely together o.o

MaxxR 04-23-2013 06:34 AM

I haven't been able to see Jurassic Park in 3D [gonk]. If it's still playing I should try and see it tomorrow. I love dinosaurs so much I often dream that I'm a velociraptor! Majungasaurus is my favorite though. It had a teeny horn, that kind of looked like a party hat. XD

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:34 AM

Chex, ooh have fun! I'll have to check tomorrow to see if it's still playing here in Phoenix. There has to be at least one theatre still showing it! It's a busy week and a half for me though, so hopefully it'll still be there for a while if it is!

Bot, I think it's just because it's such a new (not really; 3D has been around for ages) technology that filmmakers haven't really quite figured out how to do it properly yet. The current technology has only been around for a few years now so a lot of what they're doing is post-production and not entirely realistic just yet. There are some films which have used 3D brilliantly, and others which have been more of a gimmick to get larger audiences to buy tickets.

Maxx, awe, tiny horn is cute! I want one! haha!

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:39 AM

yeah that is true some look hardly 3d at all and some do look super 3D :o. wonder when they will make things realD jk

Chexala 04-23-2013 06:39 AM

@girlbot9: aw, thanks. :3
Also, realD is totally a thing. I don't know what makes it different from 3D exactly, but I know they used it for Avatar.

I haven't seen Jurassic Park in ages, so I am excited to see T-rex and the (outdated) veloceraptors get all up in my face. :D

wish 04-23-2013 06:40 AM

seiki what is the eye you're using? :O like the under eye bags. XD

you're welcome :D
oh i didnt know that i knew there was 4D out at some places for things but not realD wouldnt be suppriseing though o.o

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 06:47 AM

Bot, I just think that they need to work on making it more.. substantial. It can be small 3D if done well, and it can be lots of 3D of not intrusive.

Chex, I'll probably want to cry seeing it that close. I'm a sucker for a quick scare (even if I've seen the movie several times)!

Wish, it's the Shiner pose from the Makin' Moar Faces CI, coupled with the freckles (MMF) and the red blush from the Cheezy Romance CI.

Oh man, I totally forgot about 4D movies! I don't think I've seen one since I was a kid, probably the last time my dad took me to a theme park.

Turns out RealD is just the latest tech for 3D movies, made by the aptly named RealD Inc. company. lol. They use those black polarized glasses instead of the old red and blue kind. (Thanks wiki!)

@Seiki: Yeah! I've seen it enough times that I think I won't get scared, but it will probably depend on how good the 3D is. I kinda hope I do get scared. I never got to see it in theaters when it first came out, so that would be fun.

girlbot9 04-23-2013 06:55 AM

that is true. its still cool how they can make movies and stuff 3D now that dont need the red and blue glasses anymore though o.o

lol just posted about the glasses so that is the realD thing then XD interesting to know that

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 07:01 AM

I have a small collection of the 3D glasses they give you at the theatres actually. Like, oh.. 120 pairs or so? I'm a hoarder in training really >>

Chex, same. I wasn't allowed to see it in theatres, so it would be a treat to see it on such a big screen.

girlbot9 04-23-2013 07:04 AM

nova i think everyone hoards at least something XD in there life time

Seiki Nova 04-23-2013 07:06 AM

I mean, they're not all mine. I just keep everyone's glasses when we leave a show. What am I going to do with them? Probably nothing. But if I ever get a 3D television and host a viewing party for forty people (please never let there be forty people in my living room), I've got everyone covered!
