Krampus' Slay Ride - monsty's hangout

Simple, post, hangout, memes.

Only rule? NO CHRISTMAS MUSIC. It angers Krampus. D:<

Smaller gold prize will be given to last poster if it doesn't.

Amane 12-23-2017 05:16 PM

Fear not. I won't even post my Christmas dubstep.

monstahh` 12-23-2017 05:19 PM

Christmas dubstep? [lol]
Ridiculous. Christmas music has gone one too far!!!

Amane 12-23-2017 05:30 PM

I like it far better than the same old covers of classic Christmas songs I've been hearing on the radio since the beginning of my days on this Earth.

So far, I haven't met a single genre combined with EDM/dubstep that I didn't like.

monstahh` 12-23-2017 06:06 PM

Lol, there's a lot of EDM I'm not a fan of.
But most of what I *do* listen to is EDM, or nu-disco, or indie-dance type music. I can post some if anyone's interested but its definitely not christmas themed. [lol]

Amane 12-23-2017 06:11 PM

I can put up with anything, I think, except for country and rock. And even those sound good with enough EDM.

monstahh` 12-23-2017 06:15 PM

I'm not a fan of most country, but there is a little here and there I enjoy. Mostly just the lyrics though because they get so ridiculous.

Oh, and I'm a big funk fan. :3

Amane 12-23-2017 06:16 PM

Yeah… country lyrics make this little chick cringe. I'd rather hear the cream of the crop K-pop hath to offer, like "put your hands up like the country's been liberated" and "love is not a supermarket."

monstahh` 12-23-2017 06:18 PM

I can't think of any country lyrics offhand... I don't listen or pay attention enough. xD
I've been listening to STRFKR and Passion Pit most of the morning.

Inzanebraned 12-23-2017 06:51 PM

I can't take the twangy-ness of country music...
The BF's favorite thing to say about country music is What do you get when you play country music backwards? You get your dog back, your girlfriend / boyfriend comes back to you and your truck starts running well! Lol!
I kinda like Christmas dubstep...but I am staying with my daughter's family and they don't appreciate dubstep...or anything loud, for that matter!...and what is dubstep if it isn't body-rattlingly loud?

I like the old, classic versions of Christmas songs...but the remixes and modern covers tend to drive me cuckoo...so I don't listen to much.
Music used to be a big, important part of my life until I went homeless and have had to stay with others who don't share the same interests in music as me.
Hopefully, one day soon I will have a place of my own to rattle the walls with music of my choosing.

monstahh` 12-23-2017 06:53 PM

I'm one of those people that does not like loud. xD
My bf plays music or TV too loud sometimes and I'm like AHGR STAHP
Its been a thing since I was a kid. Its not that I hear extremely well, its more that the louder something gets the more likely it is to sound like a freight train in my head and I just can't process all that.

Amane 12-23-2017 07:01 PM

Didst thou ever see my little dubstep poem the last time thou talked about that, Inzanebraned, my scarce friend?

Inzanebraned 12-23-2017 07:08 PM

I don't recall a poem, Amane...but my memory has been failing me lately.
I do remember that you don't like poetry or trying to rhyme stuff.
Please share said poem with us!

Monstahh, I totally understand the desire for non-loudness. Sometimes I really get irritated by certain sounds that seem amplified once they reach my eardrums!
But when it comes to some music, it just HAS to be loud for me! Haha!

Christmas dubstep sounds fun...but I am staying with my daughter and her man while I recuperate from surgery and they are "quiet" people...and we all know that dubstep can not be appreciated without lots of VOLUME! Lol!

Now, if I
liked rhyming, I would sit down and make the entire poem into The Bass Drop before Christmas.

I'm OK with loud music at a concert, but that's usually because I've heard it all before and once I've heard something a few times (and also I had time to emotionally prepare), even at louder volumes its easier to "digest" if you know what I mean. But when I'm at home trying to relax, loud noises and the electronics videos he watches where they'll dissect a motor after running it and such, that motor noise probably gave me a headache.

Amane 12-23-2017 07:24 PM

I don't like being around loud music like that. :x I'd be wildly uncomfortable at a concert. For a lot of reasons, though.

Inzanebraned 12-23-2017 07:32 PM

I am accustomed to listening to loud motors in person...as the BF is a backyard mechanic.
I have been to a fair share of concerts in my day...Static X being my favorite.

How are you feeling today? How is Hope is she excited for Christmas

Amane 12-23-2017 07:36 PM

I can tell thee that dubstep is pretty transcendent when listened to on the intended volume.

hummy 12-23-2017 07:47 PM

Feels walls shaking

ghostPastry 12-23-2017 08:26 PM

Today would be one of my better days, though I still can't seem to find the holiday spirit.
Hope is more than excited for Christmas! ...she has been singing Christmas songs and keeping me entertained.

Amane, it's too bad you don't like rhyming, 'cuz I think that would turn into a great parody of the original!
