Huddling under the Parasol * For those afraid of the burning sunlight

A party at the beach sounds fun, right? Until you remember that there's the annoying bright hurty thing that makes you dizzy, unable to see, among other things beaming down on you. Yet you don't want to be completely left out.

Nocturnal folks, those of vampiric nature, and others who generally detest the sun are welcome here underneath my wonderful shadow-providing parasol.

Kiako 07-18-2010 01:22 PM

Ooo, I like it here! *hides in the darkness, settling in and getting comfy*

Mind if I stick around?

The_Crow 07-18-2010 01:31 PM

You're more than welcome. I'm glad my parasol is sized XXXL. You should be able to make yourself comfortable AND there is still room for more.

Kiako 07-18-2010 02:01 PM

Ooo I like this idea *smiles, nodding head*

The_Crow 07-18-2010 02:07 PM

I also have an Emergency Safety Coffin (tm) here, in case anyone needs complete relief from even indirect sunlight. -A hollow sound resonates as Crow knocks on the now empty towering figure behind hir, well nestled in this little paradise from 'paradise'-

Kiako 07-18-2010 02:09 PM

*giggles, looking up at the large coffin* Well, I am a rather small person, so I could probably fit comfortably in a coffin with another person *is a meager 5'2*

The coffin is a nice touch however. I think I might go and see what kind of outfits I can come up with for my avi.

I can't say I DETEST sun, but I do prefer night indeed. And considering how hot it is, I really would rather lurk here and hope the heat waves don't reach me so easily.

The_Crow 07-18-2010 02:19 PM

The sun has its purpose. Just keep it the hell away from me. My former best friend and former roomate used to constantly muse about finding a way to block out the sun. We would always say, in unison, upon going outside "-groan/hiss- F--king Sun!". One time a different friend was giving us a ride... he rolled his eyes and chided us "Will you two knock it off? Geez!"

Also my doctor had me sent to the lab for five vials of blood to be drawn for labs under the suspicion that I was Vitamin D deficient. Turns out I'm not... barely. >=) No perscribing sunlight to me!

Kiako 07-18-2010 02:25 PM

There we go! I am back!

Oh, and I am very pale myself (in real life). I am actually allergic to the sun XD Its kind of funny actually.

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 03:55 PM

You know, we could just hit the beach at say, midnight. We wouldn't need to be confined to the shelter of an umbrella then. The sun is long gone at that time, and while the water might be a bit chilly for some, there's lots of other things that can be done at the beach. ^^

The_Crow 07-18-2010 04:53 PM

I'm pretty sure all the "Beach Babes and Surfer Dudes" think it's sunny out. At this point it would be our imagination versus theirs. A war of imagination... now that sounds rather fun, actually.

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 04:58 PM

xD Well, in my mind, I'm failing at some after dark volleyball. ;) I suck at sports, but they can be fun when played with friends.

The_Crow 07-18-2010 05:01 PM

Hide and go seek at night is the best. Especially since there are all kinds of caves and nooks nearby. I love it when the seeker passes right by you as you hold your breath. Let the shadows be your friend!

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 05:02 PM

xD Oooh, that would be fun. I honestly don't do much with friends at night. Dx I hate the sun, but I get super sleepy around ten o'clock, so I basically just fail all around, haha.

Kiako 07-18-2010 05:21 PM

Hide and Go seek at night. I am so down to play that you have no idea!

sadrain 07-18-2010 05:53 PM

If I have my sunglasses, I can bear sun. But that's that. I hate being without sunglasses. They savee mee.

The_Crow 07-18-2010 06:08 PM

I can't find any sleek, amazing adult sunglasses that fit my 12-year-old sized skull. I can only fit in cheap and/or rediculous children's sunglasses. -grumble, mutter- At least my black umbrella doubles as a parasol (and lights up and night, and can be used as a cane once inside to support my messed up back).

Xx_IwIshIwasafIsh_xX 07-18-2010 06:17 PM

I hate sunglasses.

Sounds like you have a friggin' amazing umbrella.

The_Crow 07-18-2010 06:31 PM

This is my umbrella, except it glows white instead of blue and has a cane tip at the end (to try to prevent damage):

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 06:43 PM

O.O That's a sexy umbrella. Can I... Hold it?

sadrain 07-18-2010 06:47 PM

Ahh, yes, that can be a problem. About sunglasses, I mean. I'm sorry. I have always hated that the sunglasses for smaller audience are always... so lame. @_@ I mean, I never liked the heart shaped, pink ones, too. >o>
Oh, that's awesome umbrella. O: Wow. ^^

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 06:48 PM

I cannot wear sunglasses, as they don't really fit well over my seeing-glasses. xD But I have those nifty transitions lenses, so it's okay.

sadrain 07-18-2010 06:54 PM

My mom just wear glasses with dark glasses that also works with her sight problems. It's all in one.

Xx_IwIshIwasafIsh_xX 07-18-2010 06:54 PM

:o
I want those transition lenses. But all the other peopl I know with them say they're a pain.

*slaps hand away*
NO! You'll ruin the gorgousness of the umbrella.

RisikaFox 07-18-2010 06:59 PM

I like them, and I've used them for several years. I don't see how they could be a pain, as they change automatically when you go in or outside. After a while, you barely even notice it happening. ^^

Awww... But- But I just want to touch it. It's so- glowy. <3
