Introduction!

Hey everyone and welcome to Menewsha's Celes Paradi event! I'm super excited about this event and I hope you all enjoy it! Now, to the important part ... welcome to the Music and Lyrics event thread! There will be 2 contests within this thread, so hopefully you guys will find something that suits your taste as they are pretty different to each other. ^^

Contest 1

Contest 1 consists of using your imagination and writing skills. I want you to create either a short story, a poem or write your own song, which involve the Celes Paradi goddesses in some way. You can include all three of the goddesses (Song, the Feast and Dance), or 2 of them or even just 1. The story, poem or song does not have to relate to the Menewsha story line but the theme of your chosen goddess(es) must be used (eg, if you chose the goddess of the Feast, the story, poem or song would be of a food/feast nature). There is a 1000 word limit (roughly one page of A4 in Microsoft Word) for whatever format you chose and you may only submit one format (you can't submit a story, poem and a song). Rules and prizes are described in the next 2 posts, so go check them out!

Contest 2

Contest 2 is testing your knowledge of modern and older music videos. There will be a total of 20 music video images, which will be split into 2 sections ... the first is that of 'Older music videos' and the second being 'Current music videos'. For the first 3 days of the event, you will be attempting to guess the Artist and Song Title of the 10 Older music video images with the following 3 days attempting the 10 Current music video images. On the final day I will announce the winners. So, to sum up, you will be trying to identify the artist and the song title of the images I display. ^^ Please be sure to check out the rules before attempting this and also see what prizes you can win!

About the Hostess

Just a quick note to briefly introduce you to myself. I am 18 years old and have been a member of Menewsha for almost 16 months now and have been a member of staff since October. I am lucky to have met some wonderful people on here and have enjoyed every aspect of Mene so far. This is my 4th event thread that I have either hosted or co-hosted and I must say I thoroughly enjoy doing it and I'm looking forward to how this event thread turns out!

Rules!

The rules are pretty simple but please make sure you read them all!

- Follow the sites Rules and Terms Of Service at all times,

- Please submit entries with your main account,

- I would like all entries to be sent via pm using the correct submission form. Do not post your entry within the thread,

- Please title pm's "Music and Lyrics Contest (1 or 2) entry",

- You may enter both contest 1 and 2 (including both sections of contest 2),

- Entries for Contest 1 must be submitted by midnight, August 9th,

- Entries for Contest 2's first section must be submitted by midday, August 6th. Entries for section 2 must be submitted by midnight, August 9th,

- I am in GMT timezone so please be sure to get your entries in at the right time. I won't accept entries after the times given,

- Do not discuss any aspect of contest 2 within the thread, which includes giving hints or telling other users the answers. You will banned from participating in these events if you do. You may discuss if you are finding it easy/difficult but please do not spoil it for others,

- In the event of a draw in Section 1 and/or 2 in Contest 2, the winners will be determined by the time and date of their submission. Those who submitted theirs earlier will be the winners.

- You may ask any questions that you may have in the thread or you can pm me at any time.

There will be 2 sets of winners in this contest ... one set for section 1 (older music videos) and one set for section 2 (modern music videos)

1st Place - 1,000 gold worth of event commons
2nd Place - 500 gold worth of event commons
3rd Place - 250 gold worth of event commons

Section 2 - Modern music videos
1st Place - 1,000 gold worth of event commons
2nd Place - 500 gold worth of event commons
3rd Place - 250 gold worth of event commons

Prizes refer to commons when they are half-price during the Celes Paradi event.

There's always the writing contest for those of you that may struggle with the image contest xD Or you can just guess them all. =p

I'm no good with music videos. ^^; But I AM a bit of a songwriter...*plots*

It's a shame the one I'd enter would have to be in English. I'm pretty sure I don't stand a chance. XD; But I'll do it anyway!

...and just a quick question - I do plan to write two versions; one English, one Japanese. Is it okay if I provide you a link to the Japanese version on my dA when I send the English entry? Will it hurt me any? :sweat:
