Holiday Haikus!
Hi, everyone!
Let us write holiday-themed Haikus, just for fun! ~*~ Basically, write three-line verses where: Line 1 has 5 syllables Line 2 has 7 syllables Line 3 has 5 syllables |
What is a haiku?
I have never heard of one. They sound really weird. |
Oh Captain Howdy
Your haiku has missed the goal. Holiday, it's not. |
I guess we can write
Haikus about other things If that's what we want. :) |
I know full and well
That none of these haikus are Holiday-related. |
Haha, that's okay.
What are all of your plans for This fine New Year's Eve? |
Hm, lazing around...
Watching a shiny ball drop When the clock strikes twelve. |
I have never been
To see said ball drop for real. Only on tv. |
Nor have I traveled
To see a rather large ball Plummet to the ground. |
I chuckled aloud --
The thought of a plummeting Ball does not sound safe! |
It's one such reason
That I try to avoid such Heavy, falling objects. |
I imagine it
Is dangerous to be in Such a big crowd, too. |
Relax I am here
To bring haiku cheer to you Have a good new year! |
Hooray, it's Sporcle,
Coming to join all of us In making haikus! |
We speak in haikus?
This sounds challenging, but fun. I'm tired. It is late. |
Spuddie Buddie's here!
You look a bit like a rock Using the EI :P |
All hail the gumdrop! [illgetu]
Salvete looks very cute [love] So many colours! |
Thank you very much! <3
Sorry, almighty gumdrop. Did you come from space? |
Worship the gumdrop!
For those who don't shall perish Encased in gumdrops. |
Quickly gets on knees,
Bowing to the gumdrop gods. Does not want to die. |
Offers many sweets
To the one true gumdrop god In hopes of life. |
Oh my goodness me --
What if the gumdrop above Is the New Year's ball? |
The season of light
means the candle bill goes up sure is pretty though |
