Paper Faces On Parade: An Arts & Crafts Contest

What's a masquerade without a mask? A flop, that's what. Unfortunately, a few of our guests didn't have time to purchase or craft their own glorious face coverings before the event.
We asked the Queen to let them in without them, but she wasn't having any of it, and we just don't have the time to make them ourselves, what with hosting this, and that, and all of the dancing. So now, we... uh...sort of need you guys to pick up the slack. No worries, you'll be properly compensated for your time and effort. |
This is the obligatory arts & crafts contest. Here you will be asked to submit masks that have been either drawn (the medium is irrelevant), or handmade out of materials that you have laying around. You can find more details below. Do let me know if anything comes off as unclear, and I will do my best to clarify. Please remember: All entries are due by the end of the event. PRIZES for each section of the contest: 1st Place 4,000 gold + Head Wings (dove for art contest, raven for crafts contest) 2nd Place 3,000 gold 3rd Place 2,000 gold And best in show overall winners will receieve: http://www.menewsha.com/images/items...d18ca8542e.gif bee slippers Gold, CIs, and EIs will be given out as page prizes and as honorable mentions. |
The Art Contest This is the "art' portion of the contest. All entries are to be hand drawn, be it on a piece of paper, a chalk board, a tablet, what have you. Do note that all entries are to be submitted in this thread using the form below. RULES ✵ Your username must be somewhere in the picture. ✵ You may submit a maximum of two entries in this category. The Crafts Contest This is the "crafts" portion of the contest. All entries are to be hand made. You may use any materials that you so desire in order to craft your mask. Q:Is my username really required to be somewhere in my entry?
A: Why yes, yes it is. We have to ensure that nobody has plagiarized their entries (and trust me, you don't want us to catch you doing that, so no trying to edit your username into someone else's work. I will know if you do). Q:When does the contest end? A: The contest ends when the event ends. Check the Event FAQ for details. Q:I want to fix my submission, what do I do? A: PM me the fix or post it here and ping me to let me know that it needs changing. You may change/edit your entries until the end of the event. |

Hey there Seri. I'm going to actually be around for the event this time. :P Might not get time to do this contest, 'specially since I'm all clumsy with my hands but we'll see. Can't wait to see what others come up with though. o3o

Does the design of the mask have to be related to the theme of this event or can it be any design of mask?
Also, does it matter what type of mask? For example, there are some masks that cover the whole face, or whole head some that cover half...and if it is a craft mask does it have to fit a real person's head or can it be smaller or larger to fit a doll for example? |
