Please note that this thread is for questions and answers only. General chat should be kept to the main event thread (Mr. Mayor and Nalin's thread) or user created threads. If you are simply chatting in this thread you may be asked to stop.

Orchids ... and Buds?
That's right! The collection method has changed! :squee: Now you will be collecting both orchids and buds in order to get items during the event. The orchids and buds will appear in the forums in people's posts, over their signatures, on the main pages - everywhere on the site! Keep an eye out for them!

Buds: You can collect these to help you earn event commons. Each bud will be equivalent to 25 gold and can be traded in for commons in the Special Event Store.

Orchids: You can collect these to help you earn the Event Items (rares). Each of the event items costs a certain number of Orchids. Collect all you can!


Overview

• Buds = Event Commons
• Orchids = Event Items
• Clues will tell you where to find the event items.
• Clues will not appear until you have enough orchids to buy the day's item. To see them click on the 'Orchids' link.
• You must click on chibi Nalin to trade in your orchids for event items.
• Unused Orchids and Buds will carry over day to day until the end of the event.

No event item will be released on the last day of the event.

This is Nalin Sun, owner of the Petal Paradise, and he can't get enough orchids. He only likes them when they are in full bloom though. When you are collecting orchids you will find clues that will lead you to where he is hiding. Trade him full grown orchids and he will reward you!

Note: You must 'click' on him in order to trade him orchids for event items.





Commons

The 'Special Event Store' has all of the event commons for the Phoenix Jubilee inside. Get them now, because they are HALF OFF. After the event, they will be put into the regular stores for FULL price.

Also, remember that buds are equivalent to 25 gold in the Special Event Store. So trade in as many as you can before the event is over!

Items & Clues

Everyday a new clue will be released. (The new clue is released at approximately noon Central Time Zone.)

These clues point to various parts of the site where Nalin is hiding.

You trade orchids to chibi Nalin by clicking on his image. A window will appear asking you if you would like to trade "x" amount of orchids for an item. Click on the button to trade complete the trade.

You can only get the clues after you have gotten enough orchids to see it. To see the clues, click the 'Orchids' link.

Common Questions

* When does the event end?
Approximately noon Central on May 22nd.

* Can you trade Orchids or Buds to other users?
No.

* Will Buds and Orchids convert to gold after the event?
Yes and No. Buds will convert to 25 gold each, Orchids will simply vanish.

They just float around the site. Gotta keep an eye out, and when you see one on the page, just click it :]

I saw a couple buds floating on the main forum index for the event.. but when I clicked, nothing happened. =\

Has anyone else had a problem with the buds? I didn't get 2 of them after clicking on them. :cries: A message came up saying there was a problem collecting my bud and to contact the Admin.

I'm still a little confused on to what to do with the orchids themselves. Is there an event store for those as well? :s

Wait, so they're in posts?

They're a bit hard to see, in my opinion. And they appear randomly around the screen, so keep your eyes open for them, Logan.
