Veggie Dogs!
 

For all our Veggies, Vegetarians, Vegans, and Vegheads in the house, let's have a party! Here on the grill we have veggie dogs, veggie burgers, Boca burgers, spicy black bean burgers, portabella mushrooms, veggie corn dogs, and just about everything you can possibly imagine! :D

Yay for fun in the sun that's kind to our furry friends. :)

Ke$ha did frighten me a bit. However, I did just have a veggie sub for lunch.

It was just one of those moods. ^-^ I do like the song Stephen though. The video is so funny. :) You know what, I was travelling today and I really wanted falafel but my map took me to a very not sandwich place. It was fancy Italian but thankfully I was with my mom because as a student, I am broke. I had the best eggplant!! It was sliced thin, fried lightly in breadcrumbs and covered in marinara on spaghetti. Delicious. I think it was a foodgasm. <3

Eggplant is so great. I eat Balkan style eggplant a lot. I am extremely jealous of people who get to order it on pizza. No pizza place in my area has it as a topping yet. :illgetu:

And yes! I love sweet potatoes!!! And sweet potato fries are the best! :D

Sweet potatoes are fun. I'm making a two potato soup in my crockpot this week sometime so I have a sweet potato lurking in my kitchen.

Have you guys ever had zucchini fries? We make them all the time at my house. Delicious!

No, but I sautee zucchini and let it simmer in a little bit of tomato sauce. It's one of my favorite side dishes to go with a more plain pasta. Zucchini fries seem a lot crisper. Hmm...

Yeah, you bread them in panko and a bunch of herbs and flour. :) Very tasty.

I had a pita with lots of veggies and cheese today for dinner/lunch.

cool I'm trying to switch to vegetarian but my family isn't making it easy. :( they invited me to a picnic a couple of weeks ago. I told them about me going off meat but that's all they had. I was stuck eating sides. it wasn't fun

It helps if you explain to them why you want to stop eating meat without making them feel like they're bad guys for not doing the same. Personally, it's been pretty easy for me because I gave up meat for spiritual reasons. It's kind of like Daniel's fast but I didn't mean for it to be. Haha My family's fairly religious so they understood... after a while. :) It helps that my mom is on Weight Watchers and already cooked vegetarian sometimes.

I think most vegetarians have some trouble adjusting at first but it gets better. :)
