Hello and Welcome. I am Bloodstainedwings better known as BSW. I have been on mene for a few years now and have won admin pick a few times and user picks once. I had an avatar challenge previously and after running it for a few years have decided to open an advice thread. So, if you would like some advise on your avatar, please post a picture of your avatar and I will give you my opinion on it and a rate if you would like one. Please also state how detailed you want the advise to me as I can go on and on with item suggestions at times. Also, feel free to hang out and chat with me anytime. [:)] ps. yes we totally did have this convo before. but its ok. i remember hummy was part of it and we decided we should all meet up in Niagara falls because it was a close middle ground. but it was a pretty outrageous idea to begin with, so it never happened... yet...

I do remember this now. There are others in our area as well. I know Ari is somewhere in canada, but I am not exactly sure where. But Knerd is really close to me last I knew....somewhere near buffalo as well. |
That's super cool. We should have a mene convention or something. I used to go to Anime North, but i havnt in many years due to too many young men thinking its ok to sexually harass me. But if its mene people, I'm sure it will be alright because you guys are sometimes closer to me then my 'real' friends.

i would say that the teal flight jacket is too dark a deal. you need something lighter. I suggest the cathay sleeves or just a teal shirt like the posh one or the sugarplum one to get the teal at your shoulders. I also find the head layering a bit awkward. the pin looks strange. I would change it up entirely, because im like that, with the hair being the pirate purple, using some teal head item like the new head bow that came out or the head goggles and then adding some silver hat deco item from the steampunk event. I would also change the hair to the super long one so that the purple is balanced at the feet without having to change up the layering. i do love the over all steampunk feel, particularly the inclusion of the robotic arms and the background layering. However, you need to balance the silver and gold together a little more. a hair pin and a belt aught to do it. other then that, its just the orb that doesnt really make any sense to me.
