Oh my gosh, I love it. It's a blend between cel-shading and the type of shading that I use for my own art. I think it's fantastic, really, even if you're not completely done.
The shine on the cheek is what really catches me. And then the random blue of the eye -- the colours are really bright so they stick out very very well. :D You officially HAVE to post this when you've gotten it completed -- well, you'll have to anyway to enter it, so I can't wait until you do. Again, I envy your lineart. @_@; |

No problem, it's the truth. ^__^ She kind of reminds me of Yoruichi from the anime Bleach -- she's a black cat, but has a true form that looks similar to that, except her hair is purple and her eyes are golden. :o

Nonono, not at all! She's completely unique from Yoruichi, really. Yoruichi doesn't retain her cat ears like your Yumeh does, has a lighter skintone, golden eyes, fang-like canines. . . and what's more, purple hair.
You're totally fine, I wouldn't think of it as an impersonation at all. She just reminded me of her, that's all. XD; |

I wouldn't say so. o_O There are a lot of differences, really. The only similarity I would think of to begin with is that they're both "cat girls" and they both have fairly dark skin -- other than that, there's no other real comparison. I wouldn't sweat it at all.

Well, I just saw it, and I think it's absolutely gorgeous and adorable. The birthday cake is so cute. And you did it so quickly, too, and it looks amazing! @_@ I wish I had your skill to do stuff fast but wonderful in quality, too.
