I wanted to start my own hangout thread!

I don't know how popular this will be, but I thought it might be a fun idea for people who like the Organic, Natural lifestyle to get together and talk about their hippie stuff.

I explained a little bit in my second post what I want for this thread... But I'll explain again here because this is the OP and you're all going to see this one first!

So, this thread is just a place for naturalists, organic junkies, and veggies to get together and talk about the stuff they use, their lifestyles, healthy eating, etc.
But, this is also a HANGOUT so people can feel free to chat about anything they want to! Doesn't matter to me!

Want to talk about juicing? I'll recommend a juicer!
Want to talk about eco-friendly menses stuff? I'll talk about Aunt Flo and her monthly gifts with you!
Want to talk about the weather? I'll tell you how cold it is here and how much I'm wishing for some warmth!

Anything you want to talk about, the floor is yours!

Also, if you are organic/natural, tell me WHY you chose to become so! I'm interested in why people do it. I know usually it's for health, but are there any other reasons that we don't know of? Share your story, please! :D

Being "natural" can mean a lot of different things to different people.
For me, being natural means that I use products that have no artificial flavors, chemicals, scents. For me, it also means being as close to my natural state as I possibly can... meaning, no chemicals in my hair, no make up, no shaving. I'm an animal, (literally!) and I like to be as natural as I possibly can!

I do my best to be as "natural" as I possibly can, but certain things I have no choice but to use, such as my prescription medication.

Please be aware, this thread isn't so you can bash people who are not natural and it's not for people who are not natural to bash people who are! Everyone is welcome, whether or not you're natural and I would like for this hangout to be a friendly, welcoming place for people to chat about anything they want, and if they're interested in natural products, being vegetarian or vegan, juicing, using eco-friendly products for menses or baby, I'd be happy to help and I'd like for other naturalists out there to help as well.

There are many organic and natural products out there to use!
I'll gladly list the few that I can remember off the top of my head for now that I have used and liked,
Products for different areas of life I'll list!

And when I think of more, and when other people can suggest things I'll add those to the list as well. :)

Amane 03-28-2015 12:24 AM

*whispers from the shadows* I am so in.

Kory 03-28-2015 12:26 AM

Amane! *drags you into the thread*

I JUST REALIZED I MADE A MISTAKE IN ONE OF MY POSTS.
I will have to fix that like right now! I didn't think this through!

Amane 03-28-2015 12:28 AM

You made a grave error? [rofl] Willing to share?

Kory 03-28-2015 12:30 AM

NO. >:B

All that matters is that... no one saw it.............. [ninja]

Congrats, Amane!
Welcome to the cult club!

Amane 03-28-2015 12:32 AM

I'm more an observer than a member. [sweat]

Kory 03-28-2015 12:33 AM

Observing can be just as fun! >:B

I'm super into organic mac and cheese right now. I mean, people think it's gross, but I love it sooo much better than like, Kraft dinner.

And don't even get me started on juicing! I could ramble in this thread to myself about how much I love it.

Amane 03-28-2015 12:36 AM

Lactose.

I HAVE WANTED ORANGE JUICE AND GRAPE JUICE TERRIBLY.

Kory 03-28-2015 12:39 AM

Aw. :(
I've managed to find some dairy free Mac and Cheese at my local co-op once! (But it was horrible! Really gross.)

OMG. Together?! How does that taste?!
I should probably try that in a juice recipe someday. My parents like to mix the craziest things together into juice. My mom made strawberry, mint, apple and carrot juice and it was soooo delicious. You'd never think those things taste good together!

Amane 03-28-2015 12:40 AM

LOL, not together! [XD] It crossed my mind as I was typing it. I wonder~

Kory 03-28-2015 12:41 AM

I'm going to try it now... One of these days.
Orange juice and grape juice! >:D I don't normally like grape juice unless I make it. But I don't really drink any juice unless I make it. Picky.

Amane 03-28-2015 12:43 AM

← Won't eat mashed potatoes unless momma makes 'em from scratch.

Kory 03-28-2015 12:44 AM

Tell momma to make me some. [cry]

Mashed potatoes are only good if they're made by scratch!
I don't go for that cheap, powder shit. I bet it probably has so many additives and horrible processed stuff in it anyway!

Amane 03-28-2015 12:45 AM

I don't like mashed potatoes otherwise because they don't look the same. And they have all that gross seasoning sprinkled on.

Kory 03-28-2015 12:47 AM

What does your momma usually put in her potatoes? :)
I don't like seasoning sprinkled on my potatoes either! I prefer just scallions, salt and pepper and that's it.

---------- Post added 03-27-2015 at 06:48 PM ----------

Weren't you the one that also didn't like the seasoning of fries?

Amane 03-28-2015 12:50 AM

There's some salt.

Yep, that's me!

Kory 03-28-2015 12:52 AM

Potatoes without salt is like.... Thor without Loki. o-o

Ahahahahaha. I'm sorry I am bad at analogies!

What is your favorite food, Amane?

Amane 03-28-2015 12:54 AM

Man, I don't know. I don't eat a lot of foods, no, but I love what I do eat. When I have to pick, I say spaghetti, but I don't know.

Kory 03-28-2015 12:59 AM

Spaghetti is good. I'm a noodlehead, I absolutely love noodles all the time. D:
Do you like anything in your spaghetti? My mom used to put hotdogs in my spaghetti when I was little.

Amane 03-28-2015 01:01 AM

I like spaghetti with meatballs and the sauce that doesn't have seasoning in it. Of course. *grins*

Plain noodles at the Chinese restaurant are THE BEST.

Kory 03-28-2015 01:04 AM

Plain Jane!

Oh wow! I just tried plain lo mein from a Chinese restaurant in the city recently and it was amazing! I tried it the next time with veggies and it tasted WAY better just plain.
How do they do it?! I love noodles. I think I have an addiction.
AMANE. We should go on "My strange addiction" We're addicted to noodles. We need intervention~

Amane 03-28-2015 01:06 AM

I wanna be on an episode for eating ice. Remember me talking about the fancy place that gives you cinnamon sticks? At that same place, sometimes I order a cup of ice.
