Favorite Magical Girl Anime?

What's your favorite magical girl anime? My favorite is probably Princess Tutu because that was the one I watched first and its very nostalgic to me.

I really haven't seen so many...

...but mine's gotta be good ol' Sailor Moon. No getting around it.

Shadami 06-06-2016 02:50 PM

I don't know. i've seen a few. sailor moon, card captro sakura, some netflix orginal one which i couldn't figure out if it was american or japanese. (it was that strange)

Sailor Moon for me and Shadami was the anime. called Glitter Force? cause if so it's form Japan but it's name is different.

Shadami 06-07-2016 01:17 AM

I think that might be it. But its just the way they were talking in the show. especially on the vacation trip. they were acting like they were seeing JAPAN for the first time.

In Japan it's called Smile Percure but I forgot which season. it is the Pretty Cure Franchise has been going since 04. one your watching is 9 one,but Saban only order 40 eps. in Japan there is 48 ep's.

But I never watch this season of Percure franchise. when it first came out in 2012 not fully any way. but if you want to try watching it in Japaneses. the show mighty more since to you then.

I hope this was some helpful information to you.

Mine has to Madoka Magica, its so much different than the average magical girl anime, that's what I love about it.

Shadami 06-11-2016 12:10 AM

I only understood bits and pieces of that honestly... ^^;; unless i touch the information in some way myself. in a book, seeing the actual site. ect. It doesn't always process in my brain. Though smile precure isn't that much better of a name than glitter force :3

That would have to be Sailor Moon, the classic series. I grew up with it, and it inspired me in so many different ways. I have a sea of Otaku Senshi, several fanfics, and so much fanart. <3

I also really like Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica (Puella Magi Madoka Magica). It has a darker theme, sort of like Sailor Moon versus Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In my younger days, I was a grand fan of Tokyo Mew Mew and Mermaid Melody as well. :)

Shadami 07-09-2016 11:11 PM

oo oo i thought of another one. though its a manga not an anime. Dream Saga!

SpiceSoul 07-15-2016 07:10 AM

Not sure if this counts but Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is mine....fight were awsome

okios 07-15-2016 09:50 AM

Pretear because it was the first magical girl anime that made tear up a lil.
I don't usually favorite tragedies, but Magi Madoka is also up there on my list because of the mind fudgery.

Shadami 07-23-2016 08:13 PM

I'm clueless to most of these . isn't that sad. xD

VixieMooCow 08-30-2016 12:55 PM

Magic Knight Rayearth <3
more people need to watch that

Ok, nothing beats (in my book and opinion so don't quote me!!!) the original magical girl...Sailormoon and then in the mid 90's Cardcaptors/Card Captor Sakura!

Both embodied the spirit of the magical girl and still have laughs and heart, not everything has to be violent, but they do have their own suspense episodes and in the movies.

As i said before, do not quote me, it is only my opinion and i'm sticking by it!!!

Madoka magica is my favorite magical girl genre, most likely because of the deconstruction of the genre. It's not your typical magical girl anime. The music added more to my like to it however.
