Here is something I recently finished.

A wooden base. You know, Like Pinocchio!

I remember someone wishing for an Alice in wonderland CI and it got me thinking. As well as Linnea's current Cheshire Cat invisible avatar.

This is what I finished this morning and I wasn't happy about it. For one it wasn't natural looking, the stripes weren't curved to the body, etc.

And this was my attempt to make it look more natural, but I am still not to sure on it.

Some feedback from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

What cute and creative bases! I like the wooden one, but perhaps the lines need more variation in color to make it more natural. :) The cooler lines are great, but some warmer ones would be nice too, towards the light. You could also curve some of those lines against the base, but that might complicate things further, so I think the way you have it now is alright. Just adjust the shades of the wood lines.

For the stripey base, I do agree the latest version is the better one... but yeah, it still seems a bit off. Perhaps clean up your curves more? Some of them seem to not go across evenly around, while others do. (For example, the belly is not an even curve, but the lower right (our right) calf stripe is even.) Other than that, looks cute as a button.

Okay lina. I have been working on cleaning the lines up this evening and I fixed it to where both hands and feet were symmetrical with the color. What do you think know? I am not sure if the palettes I have used if I like it or not. One minute I think it is perfect and then the next time I see it it just looks displeasing. Color of course can be easily changed.

I am not to sure how much I like the shading on the emote bubble now that I see it here, but :/ oh well. I do like the chocolate bar though! Yummy *wishes she could eat chocolate without getting sick*

Oh, the lines look perfect!
Yeah, I can understand what you're talking about. Feel that way sooo many times.
I think the base looks great so far. Not sure what else to suggest. O:
