Hi everyone just wanted to say hello and Happy Halloween to everyone. What makes Halloween special for you?

For me, it's the picturesque scenery that comes to mind such as "The Legend of Sleepy Hallow" (The one with Johnny Depp is my favorite -- because they capture the very essence of Gothic to the core and the scenery is too perfect! --Of course Depp is a great actor too!) I also like the time of year when people seem to pay a bit more attention to the supernatural realms and really appreciate our history and stories! I used to dress up for halloween but quit a few years back, but not to say I don't enjoy the fun of it :)

Halloween is what i have always wanted to celebrate but we don't in our country and i always felt left out. But here on Mene i can do that, dress up as however i like and feel a bit of the spirit of it all so for me Halloween is the most special event [:D]

I made a really dumb video for the national park that's going up on facebook tomorrow.

I adore the candy and dark themes Halloween brings with it. I love buying halloween themed stuff and getting stockings since they appear in walmart every time halloween rolls around haha xD Generally though I love the spirit around it and the fun times that can be had ^u^ I also stuff my face with candy around that time..gives me an excuse to do so XD

Have you ever seen the 1949 Disney version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow? I used to watch it all the time as a young kid. That and The 12 Dancing Princesses were probably my most checked out VHS tapes from the library.

I remember the Disney thing, I don't remember the 12 dancing princesses.

I don't know if it was a wide release thing. Probably more like a fairytale filmed for the kid's direct to video market that was more of normal thing at the time. It was just something my library had. It was live action.

Hmm interesting.

I was similarly obsessed with the nine virtues in Greece/Roman mythos. They had such pretty flowing gowns in the picture book. I took it out SO many times. XD

Halloween is all about making sure the kids have a good time. I enjoy eating their candy while they sleep, and watching Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Somebody absconded my copy of Rocky Horror Picture Show....I love that movie! RiffRaff is my favorite character and the song he sings from the window, near the beginning of the movie, is my favorite song.
I have never been able to eat meatloaf for dinner, without thinking of the dinner served in the movie, since the first time I saw the film...in a theater....at midnite....in about 1980! Lol!
I never liked meatloaf much anyway! Lol,
