Namune 11-16-2019 04:00 AM

Shall I try to send in money then? I'm still debating on which form to use. I should really be working on these events but meh.

hummy 11-16-2019 06:25 PM

I would not, repeat not NOT send in money

There haven't been any contribution items to buy since March 2019. I think the best bet is to see if maybe a group of us can purchase it from him. So save your dough, yo

I wish someone would get back to me! I can totally drop some $$ in here if only I knew it would do some good! [insane]

Kaderin Triste 11-24-2019 01:58 AM

Tbh, I don't think I can help out too much as I don't have many/any site-running skills and I'm kinda broke atm, but I can offer....support?

And depending on the system/program used or needed for item recolors, I might possibly be able to help out with that when/if that is needed. I'm not super familiar with most programs and the way recolors are done on sites, but could probably learn pretty quick and I used to have fun recoloring stuff way back in the day, but back then I was just playing around in ms paint, so it's probably a lot different now...
>.>

Namune 11-24-2019 02:20 AM

Definitely different. I recently caved and downloaded krita because the new 3D paint is ridiculous and not useful at all. I'm thinking of exploring other programs, as well as getting one of those drawing pads. Nothing was more frustrating than spending the money on a bamboo pen and finding out it didn't work with my computer.

Kaderin Triste 11-24-2019 02:44 AM

Yeah, I know when I was thinking of maybe offering recolor help to another site they did want either the most recent version of photoshop or....some other program I can't think of right now, but I know I'll need something better eventually. Not for my own art because I'm a....mediocre artist at best, but just for dabbling in when I'm bored and procrastinating.

Namune 11-24-2019 02:54 AM

That is the rough part. I, too, feel like I need to put out and just buy a good program with all the bells, but I want to improve. Drawing on a screen is harder than I thought it would be.

To be honest the tablet I talk about getting is weird too. It's like old keyboard classes where the teacher would have you put blinders on while typing to practice your strokes. I want it though. The bamboo pen was exciting even though it didn't work out. Maybe one day if I get a new computer I'll make sure they're compatible.

Kaderin Triste 11-24-2019 03:01 AM

I've never actually used a tablet, but I've always been curious about them.

Namune 11-24-2019 05:45 PM

The curse is that I'll go big and by doing so I'll literally go BIG. The smallest is the size of a kindle, and the largest is like sitting a small desk on your lap. Honestly with the ambitious projects I think of that sounds best. The pro of a tablet like this is my hands won't interfere because it's not a touch screen.

Kaderin Triste 11-24-2019 06:06 PM

Wow, I did not realize they came that big. O.o
That's crazy! But I can see how it could come in handy.

Namune 11-24-2019 10:53 PM

The problem is they're ridiculously expensive. Like $400. They also probably have better software than I could download, which would also cost money. Why do I always choose expensive hobbies?

Kaderin Triste 11-25-2019 01:56 AM

Ouchies! And I thought my hobbies were bad.
XP

Buuuutttt....for good, high-quality items it's just gonna cost a lot for any hobby I suppose.

Namune 11-25-2019 02:37 AM

The truest of facts! The nice part being if said hobby can generate cash.

Kaderin Triste 11-25-2019 03:05 AM

And art can be very tricky for making money at...
