Easter Plans?! :D (or Passover!)
What are everyone's plans for Easter or Passover (or another holiday)? :D
|
it is Easter for me. I am going to dye some Easter veggies pretty pastel colors how about you, our pal sal? |
I think I may try go to church this Easter Sunday. just to try make my mom happy since I have not. done that in a long time with her.
|
I'm not planning to do anything for Easter.
My parents and I always forget Easter each year and my grandma was the only one who really celebrated Passover, (but is was towards the end of her life, as she was married to a man who didn't let her celebrate Jewish holidays until she divorced him) so we probably will just stay home all day. |
will you do sadder? dinner tomorrow? I don't know how to spell it...Shabat Shalom |
A WILD SAL APPEARED
also, I have no plans, since I have to work. |
Apparently I might be going to a Bday party.
|
I'm going to eat color-dyed chocolate covered matzah balls.
|
We're going to be hiding a few plastic eggs with some chocolates for the girls in the grassy area of our apartment complex but other than that, no real plans.
|
I usually make vegetarian matzo ball soup,
But lately, I can't have eggs so I can't make any matzo ball soup because most recipes for the matzo balls use egg as a binder. It might work for me still, but I've been getting terribly sick when I eat eggs, unless they are mixed into things, so I get a little scared of recipes with eggs in them. My mom wants me to try being vegan again too instead of just vegetarian... and tofu is not allowed to most Jews during Passover, so I can't use that as a binder for matzo balls either. :c Basically, you're fucked if you're a vegan Jew. |
A little change in my Easter plans my dad. came down form North Carolina for a visit so I will go. to my big sister's house for some Easter bbq.
|
The little kids Bday was cute. There was a egg Hunt.

everyone we have to roadtrip to sailor star rainbow's big sisters house for some Easter barbecue~ |
Ava: My family barely followed passover rules, it was just not "leavened" bread, we didn't really fret about things that were not kosher in general :<
but my family was not really religious at all, i think the only reason they did it was to put some "structure" into our lives. |

My family is pagan. We celebrated the spring equinox (Ostara) on the 20th of March. We do all the usual Spring holiday things, dying eggs, receiving baskets.... Most of those were Pagan traditions long before Christianity adopted them anyway. ^.^
|
happy belated spring equinox <3 |
yup for pagan bunnies and eggies make sense.
|
Ah, saw all the brothers and their families, kids had egg hunt, celebrated my dad's birthday, and played no April fool's jokes.
|
I got my bf a couple of times. >:)
|
Good, then you made up for my lack of pranking! Lol, although I am not very good at it.
|
Honestly it was more of a random scare than prank. I popped out of the closet and He died. XD
