Not that kind of lucky, guys! [oops]

This is just a nice place for all the lads and lasses to gather round and search for those elusive five-leaf clovers.

Misha-chan 03-15-2015 11:11 PM

Hello!

Liztress 03-15-2015 11:12 PM

Top of the evening to you, Misha-chan!

Dystopia 03-16-2015 12:00 AM

Huh. There's five-leaf clovers, too?

Liztress 03-16-2015 12:02 AM

Mhm. And six-leaf ones.

Dystopia 03-16-2015 12:06 AM

Are they less common than the four leaf one?

Liztress 03-16-2015 12:09 AM

I want to say that my luck in finding them has been the same finding a four-leaf one.

HamletSpamlet 03-16-2015 12:12 AM

Whoa! That's an awesome clover! Too bad most of the leaves are lacking the signature heart shape...

Liztress 03-16-2015 12:13 AM

I know. :( And all the ones I've found lack that signature shape too. It's a shame.

zyne 03-16-2015 12:14 AM

... that's an interesting question actually?
is it so that when a clover diverges from a 3 leaf it's an equal possibility to have four, five, six.
like a deck of cards where you think that one hand is more plausible than the other even though it's not really.
or is it really harder to find??
dang it, dys.

that sounds like extra luck though 0: although it's kind of backhanded that you'd have to be lucky to get a clover in the first place.

Liztress 03-16-2015 12:22 AM

It's something I've wondered about before. But, in my yard at least, finding a clover with more than the typical 3 leaves isn't super hard to do.

zyne 03-16-2015 02:01 AM

really? 0: you must have some serious good luck spirits hanging around haha. blessed ground.

Dystopia 03-16-2015 02:20 AM

x___o It depends on if there's an equal number of each type of clover or not.

hummy 03-16-2015 01:46 PM

super luck

Dystopia 03-16-2015 08:47 PM

I am curious about the clover leaves and the frequency of each kind now tho. xD

Liztress 03-16-2015 11:23 PM

According to Wikipedia, the odds for a four-leaf clover are 1 in 10,000. And ones with more than four leaves are less common.

And today's tasty tidbit of useless info is that in 2009, a man found a record-holding clover with 56 leaves. Impressive!

hummy 03-17-2015 01:34 AM

alien clover!

salvete 03-17-2015 04:07 AM

I would love to find a four leaf clover someday

hummy 03-17-2015 07:42 AM

i still have mine in my checkbook

Dystopia 03-17-2015 08:29 AM

... A 56 leaf clover? What did it look like?

hummy 03-17-2015 10:14 AM

HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY LUCK FOR LIZZIE-CHAN!

salvete 03-17-2015 03:04 PM

Happy Saint Patrick's Day to you as well

HamletSpamlet 03-17-2015 04:20 PM

56 leaves?? It must've looked like some kind of clover-rose hybrid. [shock]

hummy 03-17-2015 05:06 PM

Liztress 03-17-2015 05:13 PM
