Marshall was a few beers into the evening when his phone made an innocuous ping sound. It was such a normal noise, no big deal. He had just gotten an email or something. He almost ignored it. Figuring the internet would still be there in the morning, but the game he was watching went to commercial and he took out his phone.

Oh. Hey. Marcus tagged me in a photo, that's nice. Marshall's face fell as another thought, a more realstic thought, crossed his mind. No, that can't be good. He tapped franically at his phone, trying to bring up his stupid brother's webpage. God, what had Marcus found. It could be any number of embarrassing things.

It was a photostrip. From one of those mall booths,. You put a few bucks in and get a few pictures. The pictures were of Marshall and a girl. A girl with a riot of blonde hair. Her curls could barely be contained within the cramped photobooth.

Marcus' comment when he posted the pic was simply: Small world, eh?

That girl was Robin Sparkles.
