As Will I, You. (Loki Song-Shot)

Quote:

I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
'Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here?

Loki woke up, from yet another dream. He looked to his side to see his newly found love, ___.
He didn't know what it was that made him love her. Her Appearance, her Personality, none of it seemed worthy enough for him. Yet he felt he wasn't worthy enough for her.
He saw her stir in her sleep, and peek one eye open to look at him.
"Hey." She mumbled, sleepiness thick in her voice.
He grinned at her, and ran a hand through his messy hair, remembering the dream.
He was lost. He was lost somewhere in the black abyss, and nobody even knew.
Except her.
He could see her, far down on their world.
Everybody passed by her, as she fell down on her knees in overwhelming worry, for him.
Nobody cared about her, as she screamed at them.
She was scared. Scared for him.
He, himself was scared. But not because of what happened to him. Not even because he'd never see her again. Though, that in itself scared him as he thought about it, being awake.
What scared him was that nobody cared. She screamed it to them, and they just continued walking. Most, probably felt happy, having him gone for good.
He was brought out of his thoughts, to feel her hand around his chin, making him look straight at her.
Loki raised an eyebrow at her, as she asked him what was wrong. Of course, he'd be honest with her.
After he told her of his dream, she felt like she had to ask him.
"Loki, if that'd actually happen, as much as I hate the thought, what would you want me to do?"
She hated to ask it, being the thought of never seeing him again, and the fact that it seemed selfish. But, she needed to know.

Quote:

So if you're asking me
I want you to know
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest,
Leave out all the rest

Loki looked at her, and suddenly had a million memories of her fill his mind.
One stood out above the rest, though.
He looked up, and saw destruction.
The day he met her.
Bodies lie on the ground, one remained breathing weakly, and as soon as he saw the (color) hair covering the angelic face, he shot over to it. She'd been all alone, calling out to him. Calling out for him to stop what he was doing, and run with her. To be free, of anybody trying to take him away.
To be with the only person who loved him, for him.
He'd ignored her, though. And continued to destroy his surroundings.
Little to late, did he discover that she was among those he'd tried to destroy.
But she was a strong one, as always.
He kneeled down in front of her, and saw her eyes trail over to him. He picked her up, and brought her close to him, hugging her tightly.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled over and over again, into her neck.
He felt her arms wrap around him, and her a soft "It's okay." and saw a flash of white teeth before she fell limp, passed out in his arms.
Even after what he'd done. She'd forgave him. She'd smiled at him.
He was brought out of his memory, to hear her softly calling his name.
He smiled at her, and wrapped an arm around her, bringing her close to his side.
"Move on. If I somehow die, or go missing, I want you to move on. Go to some good guy that will take care of you. I mean, maybe wait a few years, mourn me, but move on. But, just remember, that if you ever get lonely, remember me. For what good I've done, not for the bad. And, please, help me make my name something that people can hear, and care for. Instead of one to fear."
He looked her in her eyes, and she brought her lips to his.
"I will help, Loki. And I will remember you. I will never love anybody as much as I love you."
He grinned, and lied down on the bed, making her rest her head on his chest.
"As will I you."

Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shed but I'm me
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you

Loki'd been allowed to see ___ one last time, before he was taken back to Asgard. But, Thor and Tony were waiting for him outside.
He looked into his love's eyes, a sorrowful look shading them.
She stood across the room, unable to move from all of the pure shock that he was even there. And, the fact that she didn't know what to think of him, after he'd done so much.
He gave a small, sad grin, and started walking towards her.
"Don't be Afraid, darling." He told her, as he wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm still me." He said simply, and felt her arms quickly wrap around his torso.
He could feel her tears on his shirt, as he held her closer.
He was sure she knew that, he shed tears with her.
"I love you, you phycopathic God." She said, backing away from him, wiping her eyes furiously.
He smirked a tiny smirk, and nodded. "And I you, my little masochistic mortal."
She nodded before looking down at her feet, and when she looked up, there was no Trickster God. He'd walked out to the others to be taken away already.
Loki'd cleared his throat, and nodded to the men.
"I'm ready."
Thor nodded back, in understanding, as they began escorting Loki back to the others. That was it, for Loki's and her time together.
___ knew that, but still ran outside of her house to hopefully find them still there. When she saw they were already gone, she should have stopped, but she ran. She didn't know where she was going. But, somewhere in her selfish mind, she had to go. She needed to have Loki with her, always.

You've learned to hide so well
Pretending someone else can come
And save me from myself
I can't be who you are

When ___ caught up to where they were leaving for good, she was certain that she'd be able to see them. But, it seemed, they had already left.
She fell down onto her knees, and coudn't hold in the cries anymore.

She'd never been able to keep her promise to Loki. To make his name one people cared for. But, she did move on after a while, as he'd told her to.
She looked to Steve Rogers, thoughts roaming her head, as he walked up to her.
He kissed her on her forehead, and grinned, "Hello, darling."
She shot him a small grin. "Hey." She said simply, still deep in the depths of her mind.
He sat next to her, and watched her as he knew thoughts of Loki were clouding her mind.
She'd been good at everybody but Steve believe she was over him.
They'd started dating a few months after they'd taken Loki away.
Steve saw through her love for such an evil man, and began to feel sorry for her. And, as their friendship continued, it went from him comforting her, to him taking her out, to them officially being together.
And, as happy as he was, he knew he'd always be second best.
Loki, it seems, was the only one to make her as happy as she could be.
Steve sometimes even thought that, maybe, they'd been soulmates.
But then he thinks more on it, such as he was now, and thinks that it'd be impossible. A God from another world, and a Mortal from this world, aren't a normal pairing.
But, looking at her, he knows that didn't matter. To her, Loki was her soulmate. Be it truth, or not.
He gripped her hand, comfortingly, and she looked over at him with a sad smile, before getting up.
"I'm going to go to sleep, now." She said, as she looked at the dark sky.
Steve nodded, and let go of her hand as she began walking towards her house.
A few feet away from it, but still, he couldn't shake the feeling something was about to happen.
___ waved at Steve, before shutting the door. She placed her jacket on the rack, and turned around to head to her room, eyes closed, and humming along to a random song that was in her head.
Before, she bumped into something.
She fell to the ground, and as she looked up, she saw Loki, standing there, his arm out to help her up.
She did such, and he pulled her up with a strength that sent her crashing into him, once again. But this time, his arms wrapped around her, saving her from falling, as he held her close.
"I see you've already done some of what you'd promised." She heard his voice ring out, in the silence.
She nodded, and was allowed to back away a little bit.
"But," He started, looking into her eyes. "Are you really moved on, my dear?"
She took a deep breath, before looking him straight in the eye, and lying.
"Yes. Loki, I've moved on."
He frowned, and nodded in understanding. "I see. And, as you know, because you feel that way, this will be the end of us. I won't do anything to make you come with me."
She nodded, and felt a tear start falling down her face.
Loki smirked, and wiped the tear away.
"When I said a good guy, I didn't mean that good."
His smirk turned into a sad grin, as he kissed her forehead.
"But, whatever makes you happy."
She looked at her feet, to try and hide the tears, and he lifted her chin.
"Know, that I'll always love you." He told her before walking away.
Tears started blurring his vision, and he wiped them away.
"Always." He reminded her, without turning around, before he completely disappeared from her sight, never to be seen again.
Just then, she realised, that he'd never actually said those three words to her before. He'd always responded with 'As I, you.' or something like that.
She gave a small, saddened laugh before heading to her room.
She'd only just gotten him to say those words now, as he walked away from their life together.
She grinned as she looked at her bed.
That wouldn't be the end, and they both knew it.
