I got cash, my favorite gift! [mrgreen]
I gave my mom two books that mean something to me (an autographed copy of this, and this one), as well as a little ceramic plant from an art college's holiday fair in a little window-box that says, "Plants you can't kill!" since she's a plant-killer. [lol] I always try to thoughtful when gift-giving, so I got a few close friends something special, too - special loose-leaf teas, cool jewelry made from jeweled beetles' wings, quirky cards from small design companies, etc. etc. |
Cash for me, too :) I gave my brother a tin of football cards he collects and this cool desk toy called Mokuru. Also got my mum two knitted sweaters in her fave green colours

I gave lots of clothes and toys to my disabled daughter and my granddaughter.
I, also recieved clothes. The only thing I really wanted for Christmas was/is a home to call my own. Maybe by Valentines Day... I just love watching the granddaughter open her gifts! She gets so excited and kept saying "Oh, THANK YOU, whoever gave this to me!" She is the awesomest!! |
I gave my mother a subscription for her Kindle. So she can read as many books as she wants each month. I haven't heard if she likes it or not. I always stress getting her present the most. I gave my dad 3 lb of nuts and fruit. Don't laugh he really likes that stuff I think it's called something like squirrel mix? He picks through and eats the fruit. I've asked him should I just buy you fruit? And he's also diabetic and so he's like no you want to put me into a sugar coma? So squirrel mix it was. I gave a friend a popcorn popper because she needed a healthy snack and it was in her favorite color! |
my dad gave me an Amazon gift card, so i got two tarot decks, Pokemon Diamond for the DS, yoga pants and a puzzle book, and i'm still waiting to figure out what to do with the remaining $30. :D
and my partner got me pokemon trading cards that came with a holographic Mimikyu card!!! and a Mimikyu pin. i love it so much. and then he's also getting me a mimikyu plushie and he got both of us this really cool system for his Wii that has thousands of Nintendo ROMs. i'm really broke, so all the presents i've given out have been drawings. :B so i've been a pretty busy bee this season! |

I got money from my mother. A turquoise and teal metal hummingbird plaque. He is so beautiful he's got like little mirror pieces on his wings so he glistens in the Sun. I got spoiled by a friend with a box of goodies a few of my favorites out of the box or a homemade hat, teal, a really pretty scarf a teal star some teal nail polish in seafoam and mermaid and teal glitter. See I told you she spoiled me. And there's a lot more. |
I found a box full of unused Christmas cards that had been sitting at the back of my bookshelf for years. They were a bit ordinary and I had a lot of them in the box, more than I'd use in a year. So what I ended up doing was cutting and folding the smaller ones in the right places to create pop-ups, which I stuck inside the bigger ones. I spent a lot of my spare time making these throughout December, ended up making close to 30 altogether, and the recipients seem to like them, so that makes me happy. [mrgreen]

I got my dad and my brother some nice hooded flannel jackets with sherpa lining, a few t shirts, and some of their favorite candy. My mother some new pizza pans and spatulas because she needed some new ones, as well as some of her favorite gum and a few other small things, my sister got a t shirt, socks, a puzzle that you color yourself, along with colored pencils for it, and lots of other smaller things.
I got some new clothes, a book shelf, a phone card for my phone, and 100 dollars from my parents, which was a bit surprising. |
gift card, some microtransactions for a game, shoes, pralines (home made!!!! they're amazing), and a Kate Spade purse.
So fancy! I didn't really get to give gifts this year because I'm worried about medical bills, but I am hoping to be able to randomly gift my bf's family something soon, and same with my bf i know its kindof crappy, but I'm hoping to make some paintings for them. :3 I like my art at least, I just hope they do |

My husband purchased me a Ozark 40oz cup, something similar to the Yeti cups, only a fraction of the cost. Here is the best part, they are actually rated as good or better than the Yeti cup. [boogie] Plus some cute straws to go with it.
My sister, mom and I purchased my dad four new pair of converse shoes. They are all custom and he's loving them so far. |

A friend of mine and his mother give each other Hotel samples of shampoo and soaps. It's their gag thing. It's really kind of funny |

i just got a tect from my best friend they sent me a cute picture of a turquoise dragon and i was so excited i just couldn't hide it! and then i am told, 'NO! Not your turquoise dragon!' aw embarrassment ensues and then sadness...bye dragon [sosad] |
awww i'm sure a turquoise dragon would be hummywummy's friend! especially after she gets so excited over it! :D
