Eggs For Fledglings!! A Charity Devoted to Throwing Eggs at New Users! It's a good thing...really!! ^_^' Allow me to explain... While tidying up my inventory (a chore which I take on about once a year ^_^' ), I noticed (not for the first time) that my duplicate drawer was overflowing...with eggs. You see, a while back Mene had a fascinating Easter event in which users participated in an Easter egg hunt over the entire site. The eggs we found were the EIs (rare event items) for that event. The game worked beautifully and it was great fun! However, there were so many clues that finding all the answers meant a person could easily rack up almost a dozen sets of colorful EIs. I did just that, as did many other devoted users. So, the site is sort of awash in Easter eggs. That makes them nearly worthless on the marketplace and the exchange.... However, I have occasionally given Egg sets away to brand new users and they always seem to appreciate the opportunity just to have a few shinies to play with while they earn gold to buy the things they really want. I know it's not easy being the nekkid new kid on the site. I remember my own first days on Mene and it seemed to take forever to earn those first real clothes. I've been pondering opening a charity for a while. I like having the chance to pass on some of the generosity I've encountered on these forums...but I'm not a super wealthy Menewshan. I don't have vast hoards of gold stored away on my mule and I don't play games to get my max gold each day. *shrugs* So, I was stumped....until I saw all those shiny little eggs lined up in my inventory. Which brings us to my point (what do you mean "Finally!" ? ;) )... To Summarize My Text Wall: I want to spread these excess Easter EIs to the new and nekkid hoards of Mene!! Please read the thread rules in post #2. If you are new to Mene and want to request a set of eggs all your own see post #3. If you have eggs cluttering up your inventory that you would like to donate or sell see post #4. Post #5 and #6 will be reserved for future contests I may host for prizes other than Easter eggs. See post #7 for links to other fabulous charities (once I get the links up). |

Do you have piles of Easter Eggs shoved in some abandoned corner of your inventory, collecting dust? Would you rather have the warm fuzzy feeling that comes along with helping new users experience the joys of letting a bunny fish off their heads or sporting a stylish carrot necktie? If your answer to both these questions is "Yes!" then feel free to send me a trade with your unwanted eggs (please post here to let me know you've started one, my notifications are borked). I have set up a separate drawer in my inventory containing only eggs in preparation for running this charity so your donations will be safe until a new user comes along to claim them. Those interested in selling their stockpile of eggs, I am willing to offer 1 gold per egg. I know that isn't much but it is a guaranteed buyer for an item that otherwise might linger in your shop for months. *shrugs* PM me if you are interested and we'll work out details. |

Saravi, you should use the [noparse][/noparse] or [html][/html] tag instead of The [code][/code] tag. the [code][/code] stopped working correctly a while ago, so the BBcode doesn't show up in it.
