Really? I think English is pretty pretty-sounding. :O I think Mandarin is more plain-sounding. :XD

lol! :XD I have some others, like the one where I dressed up as a large pink bunny...I should probably add that to my wardrobe if I can remember what the items I'd used were.

Bound Birdie 08-03-2011 04:35 AM

lol I guess it's all just what your used to hearing?

Oh don't you hate that? Sometimes if I really like an avi I'll screen shot the items so I don't have to be all "how did I do that o.O" lol though I see you changed again

*takes out a rather large tug-a-war toy*

Antagonist 08-03-2011 04:42 AM

Possibly.

It's really frustrating because I sometimes forget to save the outfits that I like, and then I can't remember what I'd looked like anymore later on. :XD
Yeah, I might change it again later...I'm trying to do something creepy, but so far it's not turning out right.

*stares at the toy*

Bound Birdie 08-03-2011 05:47 AM

*shakes it temptingly and gives it a good toss to the other end of the room*

I liked the gargoyle one a lot, reminded me that I want to do one with it's wings later XD I know how you feel though, I am either constantly fidgeting with my avi until it's perfect, or sometimes I get annoyed and start over

Antagonist 08-03-2011 06:17 AM

Yeah...I'd often spend hours on an outfit, and then finally just snap and scrap everything. >_>;

Right now I'm the zombie owner of a rabbit farm. XD

*watches Lickie jump past self and lunge towards the toy* o__o;

Whimsical Sadist 08-03-2011 01:52 PM

You're very welcome ^^
No. I hardly change my avatar's outfit so it never really occurred to me...

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:04 PM

Ohh...I didn't think about opening a thread at first, but then I decided to make one so I'd be able to keep track of all the random things I toss together all the time.

Whimsical Sadist 08-03-2011 02:13 PM

I see. Well it could be useful...
If I do create one I'm pretty sure I can remember every outfit I had since I joined (that's how little I change) :XD

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:15 PM

lol Wow :XD I can only remember a few that I'm especially fond of, the rest fade away into obscuration...:XD

Whimsical Sadist 08-03-2011 02:19 PM

Ha ha my mind is a truly odd thing
I can remember things that seem irrelevant and sometimes forget relevant things :XD
My mind stores whatever it wants.

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:23 PM

Same here...sometimes I remember really weird (and useless) things, but the important things like the text I need to study for an exam just slips away no matter how many times I read it and try to cram into my brain. >_<;

WinglessFairy 08-03-2011 02:28 PM

indeed! I effing love chinese characthers!

I wish these computers at work had the language packs installed for chinese >.>
good thing I can find pinyin to characther input things online yay!

我很喜欢中文!中文的字很美!

...but that requires me to always know the tones XD

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:37 PM

I think there are some Chinese typing programs online...I used to download this particular typing program that I liked better than the default, but then the later Windows versions had better typing programs so now I just use the default. :XD

不過要記得每個字怎麼寫真的很麻煩...:headdesk:

lol Yeah...it's kind of troublesome how many different tones there are. (five for Mandarin, and eight for Taiwanese...thank goodness Taiwanese doesn't have a written language for it and it's counted as a part of Chinese!)

Whimsical Sadist 08-03-2011 02:39 PM

Ha ha exactly! :XD
I always try my best to remember things I actually need, but sometimes it's utterly useless :gonk:

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:41 PM

Yeah...I'm just no good at studying some things. :headdesk:

Whimsical Sadist 08-03-2011 02:50 PM

Studying is something I prefer not to do for some reason.
I rather do my school work than study :stare:

Antagonist 08-03-2011 02:53 PM

I hate studying. :XD

I'd rather do assignments too...though when it comes to choosing between handing in a report to taking an exam, I'd rather take the exam. :XD

WinglessFairy 08-03-2011 03:25 PM

I think I mostly understood that...
except for the second character, which you're going to tell me and I'm going to feel dumb about later XD

yikes! D: 8 tones? I would die ._. the 5 in Chinese is bad enough!
I cheat, I mostly understand when people are speaking by context with the other sounds around it instead of knowing the tones XD

lol, that reminds me, when we went to Taiwan, they taught us some Tawainese slang XD

Antagonist 08-03-2011 03:31 PM

The second letter? 過? It's used together with the first letter 不, combining to mean 'But'~ If it's used alone, it means 'pass', 'cross' (crossing over), etc...:3

Yeah, tell me about it. x__x I can't pronounce them. I try, but my friends who know the language keep telling me that I'm pronouncing it wrong. D:

lol Really? What slangs? XD!

WinglessFairy 08-03-2011 03:34 PM

小死
It's a play on Chinese and Taiwanese words. The more polite form is the Chinese, but in Taiwanese it lierally means "Who's sperm is it?" or something like that, and essentially I think it's equivlent to ba--ard.
XD

I'm not terrible at pronunciation, but I'm sure as heck not a native XD

Antagonist 08-03-2011 03:37 PM

Ohh...I'm not sure how 小 is pronounced in Taiwanese, but I know 死 is pronounced something like 'shi4'...might've heard it before somewhere, I hear cusses all the time. :XD

My pronunciation is horrible unless it's my native language. :(

WinglessFairy 08-03-2011 03:43 PM

xiao4 si3 is the Chinese ^.^ si4 is the number 4, where si3 is DEATH! OH MY

...it's the Chinese number 13 X3

Antagonist 08-03-2011 03:45 PM

Oh! I think it's 小子? I've never heard of 小死 before...
It's kind of like yelling, "You brat!!" :XD

lol! Yeah, lots of buildings here don't have the fourth floor (they skip it directly from 3 to 5), and people try to avoid the numbers when picking cellphone numbers or license plates. :XD

WinglessFairy 08-03-2011 03:49 PM

haha, maybe X3
well, they (the Taiwanese) wouldn't tell us the Taiwanese version, the told us 小死 was the Chinese version, so you're probably right XD

yup! When we stayed there we stayed on the fifth floor of a hotel, though it was technically the fourth it was awesome~

Antagonist 08-03-2011 03:56 PM

死 and 子 are pronounced very similarly, so yeah, it's possible XD

It's funny because in Hong Kong, 4 is supposed to be a lucky number...XDDD
Same with the number 6, where a lot of people in other countries avoid it due to the 666 thing, it's considered lucky here. :P The more sixes, the better! XD
