And by "bump", I mean why don't we have a serious conversation about the internet phenomenon known as "bumping". I'd like to know your thoughts.

Some points of consideration:

1. Have you ever bumped?

a. What's the highest you've ever bumped to?
b. When did you start bumping? Was it difficult to quit?

2. How many bumps could a bumper bump if a bumper could bump on Mene?

3. Auto post-merging: is it the death of bumping or merely the next challenge?

4. If a bumper bumps in a forum and no one is around to see it, did he/she really bump at all?

5. Is it still considered a bump even if the word "bump" is never used in the post?


(Please note that quote tags should be used around my questions and any actual bumping is severely frowned upon. ;))

Just kidding. Um, yeah, I've never bumped a thread...That's probably because the only avatar site I have ever played on is Menewsha, and I would hate to have to infract myself!

I did have a dog named bumper once though...

Oh, that's a cute name for a dog! :D I used to bump on Gaia, back when it still kind of earned you gold. The most I did it was in an art auction thread in order to win a prize from the artist. :lol:

I bumped on Gaia but that's it and only cause it was allowed, BUT I prefer being here and talk about everything or nothing...

I have never bumped. I never really felt or had to bump. Probably because the rules says not to. :lol:

my cat was just doing something bad, I had to try and get him out and I got scratched in the process. xP

I havent broke any bones of my body... YET, but since we are changing the kitchen floor we had to move the furniture in the living room and it's pretty dark in here and I didnt see that darn chair -.-*

My dog got her name because she was always digging holes. To get her to stop you had to "bump" her with your foot...She was a sweet dog really...But a bit dirty!

WOOO BUMPING!! ^_^ To be honest and no offence, but this site is not as funny is GAIA. :P

I've wandered around Gaia a tad...Not really a place for me...Some of those trolls are kinda scary...

@Skipe: As funny as it is to completely pull the wool over the eyes of the... less bright members of Gaia, I don't think I'd like Mene better if it was overrun with trolls.

@Daria: Aww, that's a cute reason for a name. I honestly can't think of where a lot of our pets names came from. I think two were because that happened to be the name they'd already been given at the pound.

I rarely bumped on Gaia as I didn't post a lot there.

And I've broken toes from "running" into furniture. So not fun.
