I, myself, really loved it! Can't wait for the new season to come out in 2015!!

I have watched it and can't wait for season 2 to be aired too!!! season 2 is gonna be so AMAZING and EXCITING!!!

I started watching it, and as often happens when I really enjoy it and can't wait to see what happens next on a cliffhanger, I started reading the manga, which is also very good.

The anime is pretty close to the manga. There are some little parts where they veer off, but nothing too crazy. As is often the case with any adaptation, the manga is more rich and detailed.

Even though the manga is complete, I haven't brought myself to read the end yet.

Anyone seen the new episode of the new season yet? :D

watched the new one the other day, hrrr.
it's alright to watch but I'm not too invested in it aha--

The plot is clearly not going to follow the manga, so I'm curious to see what's going to happen.

I've read and watched, but I can't really get into for some reason. It's not bad, but idk. I just don't get that much hype from it!
I might try again, because Kaneki is such a qt.

I like the manga better than the anime. What a surprise. Just because they get to give the subject the depth is deserves. You get more of Kaneki's tortured emotions, as well as the various ghouls. It's not like Tokka enjoys eating humans. She'd like to fit in with her friends. It's a dark subject. It's easy to see why it would be hard to handle, like Attack on Titan. People eating is squicky.

Though, if you do enjoy that sort of body horror, I recommend Parasyte: The Maxim. It's about parasites that invade human bodies and take over their heads and subsequently go out and slice people up and eat them. Izumi Shinichi had one try to do that, but he tourniqueted his arm with an ipod cord and managed to contain it to his right hand/arm. It goes on to deal with the consequences of having an alien parasite in his body and eventually confronting other parasites in the world. Like Tokyo Ghoul, there's body horror, gore, eating people, teenage angst. I've really been enjoying it.

The ending made me so frustrated and left me as an emotional mess like all the ships that didn't sail and all the plots that lacked closure. OH MY GOD, I JUST

I've been meaning to watch that for ages, but I haven't made time for it yet. I hear it's really good!

Yeah, I've watched it, but I don't really like it. Oh well, to each their own :)

It was really good. The music is really fitting to the series, and the characters are interesting. I just wish that we would have been treated to some more in depth about some of them. :)
