Amane's Almost-Summer Cottage - We have AC!

Back for another event! Sorry to say, I'm not too partial to warm weather because with it comes bugs. Excessive heat isn't too fun either. You don't have to mourn the loss of winter all year to come hang out here, though! (I know there aren't too many that do  ) As always, there's a buffet of cookies in the back being constantly replenished.

I don't mind seeing the cold weather go actually. :) but it will be nice to see more flowers blooming.

Amane 05-19-2012 07:48 PM

The majority of people feel that way. I really didn't realize that until last year/ I'm used to it now. *hehe* Flowers are pretty, but bees are not! D:

keres corvax 05-19-2012 07:56 PM

X3 yeah I'm not a big fan of stinging bugs either. I've had bad experiences with stingers.

Amane 05-19-2012 07:58 PM

I get bitten by mosquitoes. They're sneaky little things. I've had some scary experiences with bees, but luckily no stings.

keres corvax 05-19-2012 08:00 PM

Mosquitoes tend to leave me a lone, but I eat a lot of garlic, so that keeps most blood-sucking bugs away.

And yeah, i have mild- allergic reactions to bee stings.

Amane 05-19-2012 08:01 PM

*bounces back from mini heart attack* I thought there were 25 pages of items in the event store. Nope, only 7.

Does garlic seriously do that? That's crazy. That must be where the vampire myth comes from. :P

keres corvax 05-19-2012 08:13 PM

oh goodness, i haven't even taken a chance to look at the event shop yet. 25 pages would be a lot O.O but 7 pages sounds much much more reasonable.

And yeah, it's nature natural bug repellant, plus it also helps keep your arteries clear/er.

But yeah, that probably is where the garlic vs vampire myth came about. XD

Amane 05-19-2012 08:17 PM

I thought it wouldn't be open yet, but now we're earning currency, so of course it would be.

Venya 05-19-2012 08:20 PM

Bee's are actually pretty and won't bother you. Wasps on the other hand have a lets kill everything attitude.

keres corvax 05-19-2012 08:20 PM

I know they've been giving currency for a bit here now, because I had posted in a non event thread and had seen that I got event coins :)

*edit*
oooo Your a Ninja Venya XD posting just before me. hehe

I got stung by some kind of bee looking thing that came flying out of a ground nest. but i was also really young then. got stung three time by it.

Amane 05-19-2012 08:22 PM

I thought I wasn't getting currency when I first got on here. But I just might have, now that I know it's not one full token per post.

@Venya: I have a ridiculous general fear of bugs.

Techiro_Yugota 05-19-2012 08:26 PM

being from Texas my summer's going to be about 110+ bah :(

Amane 05-19-2012 08:28 PM

That is the kind of heat I want to avoid. When I went on a trip to Tennessee, it got past 105 degrees. Miserably hot.

Techiro_Yugota 05-19-2012 08:41 PM

Yeah it's horrible and then working at a place without AC makes it soooo much worse

Amane 05-19-2012 08:50 PM

Oh, dear! No AC. I can imagine your suffering.

keres corvax 05-19-2012 08:52 PM

you must get a lot of dry heat then? we get a lot of we humidity hear near the water when it gets hot out. gets real muggy.

Amane 05-19-2012 08:54 PM

My hair naturally makes tight curls, so it prompty turns into a tangly mess when it's humid or rainy. x.x Not fun to comb out the next day!

hummy 05-19-2012 08:57 PM

woohoo, airconditioning!

keres corvax 05-19-2012 08:59 PM

XD yeah my hairs pretty srait but gets real wavy and frizzy in the humidity. Got to love cool showers in the summer time.

Techiro_Yugota 05-19-2012 09:03 PM

I got hair to my shoulder so mine gets pretty wild in this heat as well. Well,I work in a kitchen so u got 110 outside + like 80 inside

Amane 05-19-2012 09:06 PM

Right, Hummy? :XD

Humidity just isn't kind to hair, is it? :P

hummy 05-19-2012 09:12 PM

i need to wack off all of my hair.

Amane 05-19-2012 09:15 PM

I'm terrified to ever cut my hair! It grows very, very slowly, and I've never ever had a haircut. I'm scared of how long it might take to grow back if I cut it. It's not even an unreasonable length yet.

keres corvax 05-19-2012 09:25 PM

My hair grows at a pretty reasonable rate. I'm actually growing my hair out at the moment. I'd say the majority of my hair is at an inch long. I have my bangs in the front which was part of my Mohawk. then I just got tiered of how thin my Mohawk was, so I shaved it all off except for the very front part which goes just down past my chin.
