What is your favorite/ least favorite part of spring?

I am using spring in general here because I know that Easter is considered holiday under Catholicism. I personally believe in the old Pagan celebration of spring and new life. I want to know what you look forward to, or if you hate spring tell us why. This is a friendly chat and if you just want to talk that is fine to :)

exquisitely delicate blossoms, rain showers in glowing skies, and an abundance of lushness.

i love seeing the first tulip pop up or the first blossom on a tree

Mud and worms, I love them little guys. :3 also the first froggies come out and start singing!

Nature is truly a wonderful thing. I do enjoy all the budding plants as well as the little critters that come to join the world. Another thing I love is that people (atleast used to) dress very nicely around Easter. Girls wearing little tea party gowns and boys in little vest outfits or little suits. It is absolutely adorable :)

mud is good but worms freak me out

ana-loli 03-31-2013 03:27 AM

They are interesting little creatures

Agent404NotFound 03-31-2013 03:42 AM

The squishy squirmy worm! When I see worms coming up after a heavy rain I want to scoop them up and put them in my garden.

hummy 03-31-2013 03:58 AM

are worms good for your garden?

Cardinal Biggles 03-31-2013 03:59 AM

Yes, plus they are very good for the composting process.

ana-loli 03-31-2013 04:11 AM

worms are great for the garden, they keep the soil nice and fertile by recycling minerals.

Agent404NotFound 03-31-2013 04:22 AM

But not this one.

That's probably a Creeper-Worm, only in your garden to peek through your windows.

ana-loli 03-31-2013 04:23 AM

CREEPY!!!

hummy 03-31-2013 06:10 AM

yikes he is creepie!

Cardinal Biggles 03-31-2013 06:21 AM

The footwear/visible leg combo is what I find most creepy.

hummy 03-31-2013 06:23 AM

the whole thing makes me shiver

Nephila 03-31-2013 09:07 AM

I really am not a fan of all the frozen poop thawing smell.

Wonderlands 03-31-2013 10:23 AM

Australia doesn't really get a spring. Well, we don't where I live specifically anyway.. It's either Summer or Winter, no inbetween!

Antagonist 03-31-2013 10:29 AM

I don't think we have spring here. We have summers and autumns, but no winter and spring. Too warm. >_>

Or I guess one could switch autumn with spring so that would mean we have springs and summers but no autumns and winters...

Ah well. No clear indication of 'spring' arriving though. It's just 'oh it's pretty cool today' and suddenly the next day it's 'omg I'm burning up halp [gonk]' >__>

Nephila 03-31-2013 10:35 AM

hehe. That's funny. We have all the seasons here. :)

Popcorn Gun 03-31-2013 03:18 PM

I like Spring because along with all the plants waking up and chlorophyll coming back, we are also one step closer to shorts.
I've missed shorts.

ana-loli 03-31-2013 03:32 PM

I suppose it is a bit hard to like a season you do not get

Agent404NotFound 03-31-2013 04:53 PM

I lived in an area where we had Winter, Mud, Mild-Summer and Winter again.

ana-loli 03-31-2013 06:01 PM

That does not sound fun :( I do love winter but I also love flowers (even if I am allergic
