Help Birdie Pick a wedding dress?

well it's okay... I just wish the word "bridal" didn't add $100 to a price tag

I'm not married (and really plan on never being married) but I am rather good at clothes/dress hunting!

What kind/style of dress are you looking for and where about does your price range fall?

any kinds of stores that do the big sale on wedding dresses aorund you?

I want a a-line halter top dress with a sweep train. Here's the hard part, nothing to fancy. I don't want all the beading a ruffles and sequins and such, which I'm hoping will help keep it in my 100-ish price range >.<

Davids bridal sometimes, and tomorrow I'm going to try a bunch of discount shops and see if any of the clearance evening gowns from Christmas and New years will work

that's a good idea.

Hmm... When I hop on my laptop later I'll start looking around and see if I can find something that fits the description. :)

well I've found a lot of good ones, and one that was perfect at 99.99 buuuuut then the shipping was 80 O.O other sites were like 20 maybe 40 at the most :(
here maybe I'll post some pictures
if you click my sig there's drawings of my perfect dress when I was naive about how much a custom dress would cost XD

Aww, congrats on your engagement.
:' D

And you're absolutely set on a medieval-esque princess gown?

Kamikaze Kendra 01-04-2012 01:46 AM

If you're more set on meeting budget than keeping your dress as a keepsake you could always check to see if a local theater rents costumes. I know the one in my area rents out some superb clothing and I've rented my prom dress and various Renn Faire ensembles there. It's definitely something you could look into.
