The games section will die

So on the issue of Adobe Flash. I usually use Firefox, but downloaded Chrome to see why I couldn't pull up games on Menewsha. (gotta get myself that Tetris fix) Sure enough these games are run through Adobe, and I won't lie I was considering downloading it since I just updated my antivirus, but then I saw the news. As of 2020 Adobe will be discontinued, the software won't be supported, and (I can only assume) the whole system relating to Adobe will eventually collapse.

I know absolutely nothing about making games. But you know what? I've always wanted to learn, and I've just found a WikiHow.

Is there anyone else experienced in this? Anyone who knows if this is endeavor is futile or not? I feel new games on a more concrete system would really help draw more people back to the website.

There needs to be someone who can access to the code and probably change how some of the code in the games work.

HTML5 games will typically post the scores to a JSON file, and then a php file will need to take that information and update the mysql database (giving you gold, posting a high score, or marking that you've earned this much today and have hit your max). Javascript can be kind of easy to manipulate if you know how, so there needs to be something programmed in php to check for cheating factors, like time spent, score, etc. That way you're not going into the console log and changing your top score to 15000 and submitting it. So if say, you've been playing for 20 seconds and your score is way too high, well it knows something is up and doesn't report the score or does some other action (like timing out, temp banning, etc)

The problem is, even if all of us got together and made some games (I'm learning to do so and have made a few platformers and some other silly games), if nobody is around to make those changes, it's sorta moot for the sake of mene. :/

This is the key issue Menewsha keeps hitting everywhere I look. So help me we will get it figured out.

Unless someone gets ahold of Inso, there's not much anyone can do really. :/ It looks like he's the only one with any access to FTP and the files that could be changed to do this.
