Introduction:

Come One! Come All! I am your host Snowflower and I present to you the Festival of Winter Nights Art Contest! This contest has multiple categories and options that will tempt and tickle your imagination. So gather around and fetch your various types of media and create works that will amaze or amuse.

Categories and Descriptions:
Each entry will be judged on creativity, quality, and how well it applies to the category.

NPCs and the Festival of Winter Nights: In this category create a picture relating to the NPCs and the Festival of Winter Nights. There will also be an additional slot for the funniest NPC picture. NPC Guide

User Avatars and the Festival of Winter Nights: This is an opportunity to draw your teammates' avatars.

The Spirits of Winter: This category is for you to depict your own interpretation of the spirits of winter. Snow/Ice pixies, Father Winter/Father Christmas, Ice Queens, etc. are all welcome here.

Rules:

1. All work must be original, if other artwork(s) is used as a reference, then it must be cited and include a link.
2. All work must be submitted to me via pm.
3. You may enter more than one category. You may submit multiple entries for the same category. However, you may not win more than once in the same category. Example: Winning 1st and 2nd in the Winter Spirits category is not permitted.
4. Follow all of Menewsha's Terms of Service.
5. Do not be afraid to ask questions or voice concerns.
6. I reserve the right to edit and add rules at anytime.
7. The deadline for artwork to be submitted is January 4, 2009 at 8:00am EST.
8. Have fun!

Prizes:

First Prize for each category is 2.5k
Second Prize for each category is 2k
Third Prize for each category is 1.5k

**Special Prize for the funniest rendering of a(n) NPC(s) is 1k.
This is a small separate category that will be judged on how comical it is. You are permitted to win this category and win a prize in the NPC and Winter Nights Category. However, you can not win in both categories with the same piece of art. You must submit separate pieces of art.

Hmm, I might try my hand at a picture or two to enter. I've never entered any of the event art contests before.

Oh, I want to try entering, this looks like fun! ^^ I have a commitment to another contest and also to a picture for a friend, but I'll try to make time for this. :3
