Yay for earth day! Springy's thread here! <3
Hello everyone!
I thought I would make my own thread because I looove being green and the earth so anyone can come and chat about anything as long as it doesn't hurt the earth in some way! xD I believe I am a very green person without even trying ... I always turn electricals off, I walk EVERYWHERE and if I can't walk to the place I use public transport, I use energy efficient light bulbs, I recycle (well our house does .. we have special recycle bins where I live) ... and I can't think of anything else. D: I wish I had snow! I actually prefer winter to spring >.>; Mostly because spring is practically the same as summer where I am (at least it as been for the past few years) and I don't care for summer weather >.<;

I would rather be hot than cold TBH. Only thing i like snow for is an excuse to cuddle, and white christmas...after that the shoveling accidents frostbite and other crap i can deal without ><

Hm, I just really prefer the cold to the hot ^^; And I like having snowball fights with my friends and making snowpeople! Plus, a vision of snow, to me, is much prettier than heat rising off a hot asphalt >.> Flowers are nice but the bees that come out of them sometimes not so much...

I used to catch bumblee bees and other bees in jars XD like an old pickle jar..take off the top and then close top/jar on bee XD;;
Yeah i used to want to be an entemologist ;p i would also catch lots of buggies with my hands, like dragonflies! i got so used to it and had my own little method of catching stuff << even made a little buggie display once (where they have the pins going through them n stuff) for school so i made some at home for me because it interested me so much >< ive always been such a tomboy D: Catching little animals or trying to throw bugs at my sisters XD |
Nah, I've never been on to put myself at risk >.<; And even though I probably would have been considered a tomboy when I was younger, I was terrified of holding bugs (save for ladybugs and lightning bugs).

[color=darkblue]Lol the only bugs i wont touch are ones i know will bite me like spiders...they are ugly and i dont mind them being near me but if they touch me i dont like it >< when i was like 7 i woke up one morning with a spider bite almost on my lower lip so i've been scared of having them touch me since then...aside from the fact that their bites hurt worse than bee stings sometimes and are generally more dangerous...unless you have bee allergies of course
When i was little i lived in cali...and at 4 years of age i had a black widow crawl on my foot...i freaked out after that XD my mom was like telling my dad to go find it and kill it n stuff[/color] |
Spiders and big bugs make me freak out (though only for a short time) before I bring out a fly swatter or something >.>;
Black widows are the scariest thing. I can't even look at pictures of them >.>; I've actually never seen one in real life though ^^; |
They arent that bad to look at its just the whole they bite you and you can die thing <<;;
Out east where my moms family is theres violin spiders and those are also deadly poisonus >< Here in alberta canada...i have no idea if there are any poisonus bugs or things like that and hey i hit 1k! |
I'm not a big fan of spiders either... I pretty much go as long as they don't bother me, then I don't bother them.... Unless they're Daddy Long-Legs... since I know they can't hurt me. x3 |

Dont daddy long legs actually have rather poisonus venom? Its just their fangs arent able to puncture our skin for some reason o:

The only time I ever got really creeped out by a spider is when there was a huge wolf spider on my front porch. Well I was just curious so I kind of nudged it to see how it would move...well what I didn't realize that all the little black dots on its back were baby spiders. 0.0;;; They went everywhere, and it was just... gross. xDD |
