So, you must have heard of the Sphinx right? Well, legend says that you have to answer the Sphinx's riddle if you want to pass through the gate into Thebes... or something like that [;)] Unfortunately we don't have any of them around these here parts, but with all this time travel lately, well, it's normal for things to slip through... right...?
A WILD AMMUT APPEARS! 
Part crocodile, lion, and hippo, the Ammut eats the souls of the unworthy if they don't weigh up to the very high standards. Now I bet you're wondering what now. HOW TO PLAY:
Let's keep this simple, shall we. 1.} There will be one riddle every 24 hours for each of the 7 days of the event. (9am EST) 2.} Answer the riddle correctly to go on to the next level. The riddles will start easier but get progressively more challenging. If you fail to answer correctly, the Ammut devours your soul; you're all done. 3.} Everyone has DAY 1 to sign up. You sign up by answering the first riddle. You do that by PM'ing me your answer. (If you are a spoil sport and post an answer in the thread, the Ammut will immediately devour your soul and any prizes you were rewarded will be revoked. (So don't be a fun ruiner-butt face.)) 4.} Make it through all the questions to be declared the winner on the last day! The user(s) who make it the furthest win! ⚜ PLEASE NOTE ⚜ You can only play if you start from the beginning with everyone else. It wouldn't be fair if you started on the last day, so get in here early! Can you beat Ammut at a challenge of wits? PRIZES: ⚜Everyone who enters will receive a participation prize!⚜ THIRD place: 4,000 gold! SECOND place: 6,000 gold and some random event commons! FIRST place: 8,000 gold and some random event commons. or MAKE IT THROUGH ALL LEVELS 1ST PLACE: 10,000 gold and a set of event rares! |
BUT WAIT:
5.} If you answer incorrectly you can still make a come back! You will have just ONE opportunity to appease Ammut and get back in the game for the next riddle by participating in a small task... if you choose to do so. You will need to make an offering, and it needs to be a worthy one. You can: ⚜draw a picture of it ⚜take a picture with/of it (include your user name along side it) ⚜make an avatar of it ⚜write a poem about it Ammut likes food and shiny things of course, but remember what the Ammut is. Maybe do some research and make it something really juicy [yes]. Couldn't hurt. F.A.Q. Baaah, I didn't join in on the first day. Can I still play? No, I'm sorry. You win the game by making it through each level consecutively. But I hope you'll stay around and cheer on the others! Oh crap-on-a-cracker, I just answered a riddle wrong! Can I wait to make an offering until a later level? No can do, the offering can only be used for the level which immediately follows your wrong answer. Good luck! Gah! I forgot to send an answer for the last round! Does that mean I am out? Unfortunately, yes. I leave the levels open for 24 hours so please try to get them in during that time so this doesn't happen. Can I use my mule? I would prefer not, but it can be one or the other, not both. |
