T A R D I S - The Doctor will take you to the stars!

Every event, I make a thread in the hopes that more fans will come join us in our Doctor Who appreciation hangout. And it usually works. So hello to all, feel free to talk about anything and everything (Doctor Who related or not) and don't forget to join our hangout thread after the event is over!

And remember, no huge spoilers and try to hide spoilers for fourth series onwards.

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 01:59 PM

Doctor!
:heart:

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 02:07 PM

Doctor indeed! : D
Haven't I seen you in the hangout thread? Your name sounds familiar.

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 02:10 PM

Probably, I'm all around Menewsha.
I can never stay in one spot.
xD

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 02:18 PM

Ah okay. I'm the exact opposite, I like to keep to just a few threads. I used to be all over the place though, earlier on.

I like your username btw. xD

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 02:19 PM

Thank you.
>w<

I had no idea there was a Doctor Who appreciation hangout. That's what I get for not exploring enough, I guess.

Anyway, hello! This is a very nice looking thread you have here. Are lurkers welcome?

[K]amikorosu 08-09-2009 02:25 PM

Hehe, haven't watched Doctor Who, but have watched Torchwood... so I decided to stop in and say hi. XD

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 02:28 PM

I think I'm going to make this my hangout for the event.
=D

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 02:49 PM

Yay! Welcome to all you lovely people!

Youn, that's precisely why I make the event hangouts. I know not everyone goes to the Menewsha Nation forum, and anyway, it's so full of active threads that the chance of finding the T A R D I S hangout is slim. Lots and lots of people hang out in the event forum, so it's easier to spot. : )

Kamikorosu - can I call you Kami? - have you seen the specials this year? : D

Duck, please do! The event threads I've made so far have usually been fairly lively. ^^

::parks::
:3

ps. i almost cried for coe. :C
i watched it with a friend who loves torchwood, but hasn't seen dw yet.
so i pestered and pestered and pestered and now she might try watching some episodes. XDD

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 02:55 PM

Heya tireth! And.. only almost cried? ;__;

Youn 08-09-2009 02:56 PM

ljosberinn - It's a great idea!
I get confused a lot when I get too many choices so I usually stake out one thread, five at the very maximum, per visit.

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 02:57 PM

@ tireth:
How you only almost cry?
I cried in front of my brother when I watched.
;__;

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 02:58 PM

Mmm, I always confuse the threads I hang out at, so I feel like I've said something in one thread when I said it in another, etc. So I try not to frequent too many.

tirethminet 08-09-2009 02:58 PM

(seriously. call me leenie. :B)

and yes. almost cried.
i was watching it with people and we were halfway between shocked and whining, but not crying.
but i suppose if i watch it again by myself, i'll cry. ;_;

ghostPastry 08-09-2009 02:59 PM

*gasp* It's bigger on the inside! :O

Shimawa_zen 08-09-2009 03:03 PM

Ooh! Doctor Who! :heart:

I also love how one of your tags is :heart: David Tennant :heart:

And yeah - it is hard not to cry at some of the episodes, particularly certain season finales (like 2 and 4). Even on repeated watchings, you can't help getting misty-eyed at least.

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 03:03 PM

@ briannamal:
Of course it is.
;D

@ Shimawa:
It's comforting knowing I'm not the only who cries at Doctor Who.

Youn 08-09-2009 03:05 PM

Season finals (for a lot of shows) can be really heart wrenching. Especially if they leave you with a cliff hanger too. <.<

Stallion Duck 08-09-2009 03:07 PM

I know.
;__;

tirethminet 08-09-2009 03:07 PM

now that one i did cry at.
series four finale.
and i cried again when my mom made me watch it with her. :C

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 03:08 PM

Sorry leenie. xD

I'm such a cry-baby, I always get teary when things get dramatic. Season finales are very difficult.
Strangely enough, this is pretty much only true when it comes to things on TV. When things happen in real life, I don't cry easily at all.

Brianna, it is indeed. : D

Zen, hehe, I thought it'd be good to tag that one Doctor especially since he is the most popular one. :3

Youn 08-09-2009 03:15 PM

And the current one. :3

It looks like a very good choice to me, with 5 key words it would be impossible to put all of the actors in. And if you mention some, it becomes a matter of chosing which actors to mention and why.

ljosberinn 08-09-2009 03:18 PM

Though if I had to pick three (as Doctor Who and TARDIS are also keywords), I'd pick Tennant, Eccleston and Tom Baker. Those three seem to be the most popular ones. P:
